Fabulous cocktails and decor! Check out Casanara if you want expert cocktails done right, lots of twists on the classics and their own specialties. I tried the Sea Plane and ended up ordering another. The interior is amazing, it’s giving 80s Miami in the best way. Their vegan patties are great for a light dinner or just a snack, whether you’re vegetarian or not! Excited to come back here to check out a night with a DJ :)

As I was heading to sign the lease papers on a new rental in the neighborhood I popped in here to kill some time and have a quick glass of bubbles. Tom was so welcoming and congratulated me away, the vibe was so nice and made me even more excited to be living nearby. It’s tropical, cozy, and laid back. Anytime I’ve been back Ive always enjoyed my time, especially on my last visit as Sasha was our bartender and just made our afternoon delightful with conversation and connection. Great spot!

Everything about this neighborhood spot is enchanting (feels like you’re transported to Miami or the Caribbean) and makes you want to stay and come back. The drink menu is thoughtfully detailed and curated, cocktail Sirius is my fav. The staff is fun and professional….if you catch it on a weekend night you may enjoy a shot poured directly in your mouth directly from the bar haha. Some of the best DJs on a fri and sat! The bartenders were attentive and very nice which in my experience rarely happens. Had myself a couple of Atlantic sours and they were delicious! My one and only complain was that there was a particular man who carelessly, in my opinion, was rude to one of the bartenders. I noticed them when he seemed to be upset over a drink option. He seemed pretty aggressive and the bartender genuinely confused at what had just happened. I was nosily listening in and he was completely insane. As the group got up to leave he slammed the menu! I felt bad for the bartender. Women shouldn’t have to deal with men in tantrums over a drink. It was pretty outrageous. Men like this should be held accountable because the world is already dangerous enough for women.

The espresso martini was one of the worst I’ve ever had

This bar is very vibey w/ a lovely interior and lots of space. It suffers from what I call the 10% problem: the music is 10% louder than it needs to be, which means it’s very difficult to talk, leading nearly everyone shout during conversations, and before you know it you can’t hear a thing. There’s a DJ setup, though I’ve never seen a dance floor really jumping. I sort of wish they’d commit to being a swanky bar where you could hang out and hear the people around you. Perfectly average-prices cocktails which is appreciated. Beer on tap. I’ve mostly gone here for birthdays, there’s a back area I believe you can book and availability to seat large parties.

The aesthetics are very good, and this place has sooo much potential, but the drinks are mediocre, especially for the price. Paid $20 for a “specialty” cocktail that was essentially a bunch of crushed ice. It would be helpful to have pictures on the menu of what each drink looks like or the glass it comes in.

I just don’t know if I’m going to get jazz, heavy metal or club music here. But for good jazz try lunatics or ornithology.

Ambience is amazing, drinks are not good + I ordered one and they gave me something else. They gladly changed it but it ended up being not great anyways.

The interior space is nice, but the sound when the dj is playing is not good. It's super echoey and loud to the point of being uncomfortable. There's a space for a dance floor, but no one is dancing. The dance floor lighting is tacky and annoying with colored strobes at eye level. I came with friends having high hopes and left disappointed to go somewhere else!

Drinks are decent. Very noisy and the service is terrible. Waited 10 minutes to order a drink in a nearly-empty bar while the bartenders chatted, first amongst themselves and then with their friends at the bar.

Service was extremely slow and they gave my friend the wrong drink. After getting the drinks I was waiting to pay for 20 min while they served other customers. Tried to order a second round and left because the bartender had completely forgotten. Not worth the $

Although I loved the clienteles’ vibe (everybody seemed down to earth and pretty Zen), it was difficult for me to look past a poorly constructed old-fashioned, and the attitude (or was it lazines? obliviousness?) of the hipster bartender with a mullet. At 6:30pm on Monday, five separate patrons (I was one of them ) waited politely for over 10 minutes for the bartender to come and take our order. He exerted the strong air of indifference. I went for a second drink, but after waiting more than five minutes (with nobody in line ahead of me, but he was very focused on having a conversation with a friend in the corner), I decided to close my tab.

A well crafted interior that’ll keep you even if the people and its layout make it ergonomically impossible to order a drink or tolerate it for more than twenty minutes.

This neighborhood bar has a great atmosphere, but the service was very bad yesterday- in fact I left after being blatantly ignored for 15 mins. I dont typically leave reviews but feel it needs to be addressed. The bartender was so busy talking to customers near the front she very clearly ignored 3 other customers to keep talking. She didnt greet anyone who entered and almost seemed bothered to ask anyone their order. I am a service industry person so I understand being busy and attending to different people at the same time- this was most definitely not the case. While I do know she may have had very little experience and maybe a new bartender because making one drink at a time seemed to be all she could do but the overall lack of hospitality and uninterested in making drinks was unbelievable. Again there were quite a few people waiting around just waiting to see when she would stop talking and come over. I will not be returning here for a while. I hope the service improves because it is a lovely bar.

Her response was simply, “No, it’s whatever is on the menu,” after which she walked away despite the fact that we were ready to order. She did not return and instead began conversing with her colleagues and serving other guests. I believe that customer-facing roles require a certain level of attentiveness and professionalism. If someone is unhappy in such a position, it may be worth considering a role that is better aligned with their preferences. But again don't judge the whole place based on the behavior of a single individual. We ultimately left Casanara Bar and went to Bar Francis which is a block away, where the staff treated us with genuine courtesy. I would highly recommend them based on our experience.
