✨ Culture, flavor & vibes all in one bite 👏🏾 Bati Kitchen in Brooklyn brings Ethiopia to NYC 🇪🇹🍽️ For our feast, we tried Tsom,an assortment of injera with vegan sides like tikil gomen, key sir, gomen, and creamy shiro in the center plus the Bati rosemary tibs, tender beef cubes tossed in herbs & spices. The space is beautifully decorated, filled with culture, and perfect for a unique night out. If you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian food in NYC, Bati Kitchen is a must-visit. Went on a chill Sunday night to experience some smooth jazz and rnb covers. Music was amazing and the crowd response matched. Food came out shortly after ordering. Every dish ordered was cooked to perfection. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with the ordering and serving of the food. Definitely would recommend. Ill be back for sure.

Shara Ali here. I’m Ethiopian, I live in Brooklyn, and this is the only Ethiopian restaurant I go to in NY. Makes Bunna Cafe taste like Taco Bell. Fresh Ethiopian injera upon request. 100% Habesha kitchen staff. Come for the wot, stay for the vibes. Fantastic music. Dimly lit; perfect for a date night. Bryan the bartender/server is an absolute gem. Grateful this staple has entered the community in full force. Give my kin some love.

The experience here changed my perspective entirely. Restaurant workers offered acceptable care. Great food, casual and fun ambiance, fantastic service and lots of smiles all around. Each meal I've ordered was tasty. The service level is remarkably high.

Wonderful food, excellent service, shout out to Brian, who patiently helped us with the menu and what we would like. We tried a variety of things, all of which were delicious, good sized portions. The food was seasoned well, but not too hot. Recommended place to try Ethiopian food. All five of us had a great meal and great time.

Very Authentic! We stopped by with out a reservation and got a seat. Very thankful it wasn’t very crowded on this night. But as the night progressed the place did fill up! (Make reservation) The area is up and coming and I actually got parking on the street around the corner. This was very convenient. I was with some meat eaters so they ordered meat dishes and I had the vegetarian option of course. They kept mine separate! Very happy they accommodated. Place was quiet and very open. It wasn’t cramped. Very clean Bathrooms. I must return to try this place again.

I’m not sure what part of Bati I like most, because there’s a lot. On my block, the most lovely people, food that is so good on the stomach, drinks that make you feel less guilty for drinking. We’re so happy that you are here. If you want a special night out or just a couple drinks and bites with an amazing happy hour, put Bati to the top of your list.

We were the only ones here at 5:30 pm on a Sunday night. Service was friendly and quick. Tried tej, Ethiopian honey wine, for the first time. Salty & sweet. Shared the meat platter with my partner. Plenty of injera was served alongside it. Simple and tasty food.

The food is great, but the portions are somewhat frugal. Their non-vegetarian tasting platter doesn’t incorporate much, we had to add the tibs which became the star of the dish. Other than the portions and selections, the taste was good, the atmosphere is friendly, and the service is great.

We had an enjoyable meal at bati Ethiopian kitchen. We really loved the spicy crispy injera bread, the stewed chicken, the beef stew, the lamb stew and all of the vegan dishes. I love how dramatic the combination platter looks! I enjoyed the Ethiopian beer I had, It was very light and refreshing. I'm not sure I consider getting one chicken drumstick in a chicken dish a good value. Seemed a bit short. Also the sauteed beef dish was tough. We left fat and happy.

First time trying Ethiopian and I really wanted to like it and leave a glowing review, but I can’t. The service was very warm and inviting and the interior was beautiful, but the food just wasn’t hitting. I got the 7 Hour Doro Wot, which is the national chicken dish cooked in a spicy onion and Berbere stew, served with a hard-boiled egg. It comes with two sides, and my waitress recommended the Missir Wot, which is stewed split lentils, and Shiro, a saucy chickpea dish. It all came served on a bed of injera, which is a spongy, sour, pancake-like flatbread, and they gave me a small plate of extra injera on the side. The food looked flavorful, but I was super disappointed once I took a bite of the chicken. I was expecting tender, moist meat, and instead it was hard and dry. The stew wasn’t flavorless, but it also didn’t have much going on. The lentils were okay, and the only thing I really liked was the chickpeas. On the bright side, it was a pretty filling meal, though that might have been because I had a double smashburger an hour earlier.

The place looks nice however, the service was lacking. We didn't have to wait to get to our table. After we place our order, no water was served to us, we have to ask for it after a while, no napkins were given also, and the food is eaten with our hands. There's no hand sanitizer either. Based on the small quantity of food we got, it was kind of pricey. Our 1st time trying Ethiopian food so can't compare it to others but I can say the food was okay.

genuinely some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Being here makes me regret not paying attention and vocab class because I don’t have the words to articulate just how horrible the food is I had The Doro Wat , And when I tell you almost cried from how horrible. You couldn’t pay me to order it again, I wouldn’t even order if I was being held at gunpoint. Literally taste like what I imagine ssa to taste like. Order from Awash instead .
