Cent'Anni Brooklyn Reviews
Great staff… super friendly, warm and inviting. Food is fantastic!!! Best calamari in Brooklyn, and great wines. Warm & cozy atmosphere… all around A+++!!! Would love to have them add pizza to their menu, and they can do better with the bread.. but overall GREAT!!!
best grilled cheese I’ve ever had
We bring visitors here for dinner all the time. Beautiful backyard, cozy and candle-lit inside. Delivery is also just as good and is always piping hot. Kale Caesar is a must. My only feedback is some of the vegetarian pasta sauces could use a touch more favor (but I have heard the ragu is amazing!)
My wife walked by here one afternoon decided to make a reservation 4 hours in advanced which was a great decision on her part. the place was packed but we sat right away no waiting. the food was amazing, the meatballs where awesome and fresh pasta was outstanding. Staff was kind, friendly and attentive., especially the host forgot his name but he was very helpful and did more then his host duties. Will definitely go back. All covid precautions where taken. Would highly suggestion going here for nice dinner.
The food was fine but what truly shines here is the service. From the moment that we stepped in, Maille, Mauricio, and Connor made the night exceptional. They were extremely professional, warm, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and polished. I had the white bean crostini, caponata crostini, pate crostini, and rigatoni ragu. I’d strongly recommend the caponata crostini. I’d also reorder the white bean crostini and Rigatoni Ragu. The pate was good but a little too sweet for our taste.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere! Would highly recommend!
My wife and I stopped in for dinner. We were promptly seated and offered water and bread. Our appetizer was great, and our food soon followed. From reading other reviews, I think a lot of people are used to heavily spiced Italian food, and this isn't that. The ingredients speak for themselves better without feeling like you're biting into a basil leaf with every bite. I felt like I could actually taste the pasta and sauce without feeling my mouth dry from salt. The flavors were subtle and balanced. The portions were just right; not too much so that we'd be tempted to be stuffed, and not too little either. I wish that my dish had a little more meat, but I can't complain. Glad we went in!
Gorgeous high tops, attentive and kind service, and delicious food. The ravioli with vodka was fabulous, the tiramisu was a perfect finish. They also have great espresso! Can’t wait to come back - everything was divine. Romantic, decadent, and lovely.
Hate to edit this to change but the bartender that worked last night (Friday) is his own worst enemy. He was hammered to the tune of what looked like a margarita and several shots. Second time I saw this guy working and he has a way of making the bar a depressing place to sit. In the future I'm just going to avoid going in if he's working. Poor showing, sorry again for having to edit the former review My wife and I hadn't seen each other for a minute, we were hungry and happened to be on Franklin so we popped in and asked if the kitchen was closing, and the bartender welcomed us right in. Idk, something about rolling into a place that's probably looking to close down at the end of a weekday always makes me uneasy, and as a general practice I try to avoid doing that. We each had a drink, ordered a meal, and in the middle of it my wife just commented: this is perfect. She was right. It all started w the bartender. Had the guy been a little cold or put off I wouldn't have blamed him. He wasn't though. He was kind, genuine, and made us feel at ease after an extremely tense day. I hadn't been to this place in a few years and I have to say, I'm going to start going back more frequently
Highly recommend! Service was great, food portions were huge and delicious, cocktails were amazing and very affordable, like too good to be true. The crostinis were my favorite. Celebrated my bfs birthday here and they were so nice to us, we had a baby too and they were accommodating.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Brooklyn. Great food and service. Spacious backyard. Desserts are also *chef’s kiss* I’ve also had brunch here and it’s also great. 💯recommend.
I had the best experience here while celebrating my mom's birthday. They were so attentive, and the service was top-notch. Their menu was solid - it was complex to choose what to have! But everything everyone ordered was delectable. My favorite was the gnocchi and salmon dishes. You can tell the difference between handmade pasta and store-bought pasta. They had a seafood special that my mom raved about. The drinks were perfect, and the ambiance was SO cozy. I can't wait to return for a date night in one of the booths. All in all, it was a charming experience.
Man what a great place fantastic service wonderful fresh pasta great little place to go in Brooklyn thank you
🥘 GRILLED PORK CHOP wild mushroom wine sauce & julienne vegetables ✨ I love dining at @centannibrooklyn . The service is always impeccable and the food is slow cooked and served fresh. This dinner combination is one of my favorite entrees on the menu. Who would have believed that I arrived 25 minutes before the kitchen closed 👅 on #ChristmasEve and they didn’t make me feel rushed at all. The #PorkChop is HUGE and more than three inches thick ‼️ #MyHungryWorld #SkinnyGirlsLuvFood2 #Repeat #Service
This place prepares their food hand made and slow cooked so in a sense it's homemade? Ordered the Risotto and Lamb Ragu which were the specials for the day. The risotto was creamy, the rice was cooked perfectly and it was very flavorful without being overwhelming. For the lamb ragu, the meat was tender, and the noodle was perfect.
Reliably good quality unpretentious classic slow-cooked cozy vibes. This place is great for date nights, hearty family dinner, backyard patio brunches, solo journaling in the window bar, cozy group meals, anything you want. The Black Linguine is everything. I’ve been coming here for 7 years just for this dish. I wish they’d put it back on the regular menu! But anytime I see it on the specials menu, I jump at the chance for this delicious spiced tomatoey seafood glory.
Excellent food, value and service. Couldn’t ask for a better neighborhood Italian joint
We all greatly enjoyed our meals, I can't recommend the Chicken Francese enough, it was SO tender! And the serving sizes are wonderful for the price, I was able to take some home. It reheated wonderfully.
Makayla was truly fantastic. The food was great, but honestly? Makayla made the brunch fantastic. I could not say more about how dope she is. I am visiting family here, and I just thought dang? This woman makes it feel like I’m back in Michigan. Go here and request her.
Went for happy hour (which is only in the inside, mind you) had a couple really nice Negronis (made to order not batch) meatballs (beef) and calamari (fried), which was also on the happy hour menu and that was really nice too. Staff was genial as well.
We’ve been coming here for years and never have been disappointed! Everything is consistently good and the atmosphere is lovely. For parents, they have high chairs and everyone is very sweet to kids. A special shoutout to our waitress from last night who was super calm and friendly with our chaotic 17 month old, was very knowledgable about the wine, and helped my mom and me pick out something perfect for us both. My son also was absolutely obsessed with the spaghetti and meatballs - I’ve never seen him so quiet for so long! 😂
Amazing Italian food at reasonable prices for this area. Kids portions are still generous and cost $10 each. The chicken parm and chicken franchese were some of the best we've had even compared to places on Arthur Ave in the bx 🙈 can't add any pictures because we ate the food too fast
Cent’Anni brings Italian fare to Crown Heights in a matter of fact and no-nonsense form. A wonderful staff serve rustic classics in a bare brick and wood adorned setting. Dimmed Edison bulbs candle light set an intimacy sans silence among the satisfied patronage. Highlights include their crostini and home made pastas, but don’t ignore the ever changing specials menu.
YUM. Met a girlfriend here for happy hour and pasta. Happy hour from 5-7 with great cocktail & wine specials, PLUS a few food deals! The mushroom crostini, for only $4, was surprisingly filling and LOADED with mushrooms. The the classic gnocchi with pesto is everything you want when you just need all the carbs. Can’t wait to go back and try the squid ink linguine!
We went for early dinner around 4pm. Happy hour is 4-7 but only in the main restaurant, not the garden. Ambiance is pretty chill, at least for that time of day. Everyone was super friendly and the food was great, good portions. We had spaghetti and meatballs, Alfredo with chicken, the chocolate cake dessert (highly recommend), poached pear with fig gelato and port reduction (also highly recommend), and the lemon tart with raspberry gelato. The lemon was a bit sour/bitter, could use a touch of something sweet, but not terrible. Would come back again when I’m in the area!
Surprising find in the middle of Brooklyn. While the restaurant is small, their back patio is covered and a great place to enjoy a nice evening dinner al fresco. We asked for extra bread with the steamed mussels, and the sauce did not disappoint! Ate so much bread dipped in the mussel wine sauce that I barely finished 1/3 of my generously portioned squid ink pasta with calamari. Their lamb pasta is very good, too! It's definitely a must go if you're in the Flatbush area.
Great vibe, playlist sounded like it was made by a gay person (positive). I walked in and they were playing Chappell Roan’s Red Wine Supernova. Sat down and a few songs later they played After Midnight which I was really excited about until it got switched halfway but honestly the music was still good. Food was good too.
The staff there were very competent and helpful as I came there with two young grandchildren. Meatballs and calamari were loved by myself and the young kiddos. Excellent lasagna! My 2 year old grandson devoured 1/2 entree portion! Lovely atmosphere with a moody indoor space and an outside garden type experience
Consistent go-to in the neighborhood. Good happy hour. I like the Sterling Sour cocktail. Nice seating in the back, almost always friendly staff, homemade pasta, reliable. Pick your pasta, sauce, etc. Broad menu and rotating specials and apps. It’s been a staple for awhile and 98% of the time delivers. Speaking of, fast delivery if you’re nearby and ordering.
The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. They threw a NYE party with great live music and gave everyone party favors. Just a good time all around. Strongly recommend checking this place out.
Food was great. We got the Branzino/gnocchi/asparagus and the manicotti. Both were excellent. Especially the Branzino and it's lemon sauce. They also do asparagus very well. Like, they lightly peel the bottom ends that are usually kinda fibrous, so the texture is nice throughout. Nice ambiance and staff too.
Delicious food at good prices with big portions! Service is great and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Walked in with no reservation on a Thursday evening and were seated right away. Would totally come back and highly recommend!
Visited about a week ago for a Saturday dinner, and the place was pretty packed. That aside, the food was delicious (I got the penne alla vodka) and I ate every bit. Prices were pretty reasonable for a restaurant. also, the lemon sorbet was just wonderful!
Cent'Anni is a staple of the neighborhood that I've lived in for years now, which says something considering all the places that have come and gone in that time. The vibe is a mix of old and new Brooklyn, cozy ambience of dimmed lighting and wood furnishings with tasty modern cocktails and cool staff. This is where my husband and I like to go for impromptu date nights, but I also came here for NYE with some friends this year and it was exactly what I hoped for. Such a friendly and celebratory vibe, they decorated and gave out hats/glasses/beads/etc., and they booked live musicians to play the whole night. They had a special menu (the lobster ravioli and the octopus were awesome!) and kept the cocktails flowing (think pink was tasty!). The staff here are always very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Visited this place for lunch after Brooklyn Botanical Garden. It took us about 10min walk. Very cozy and nice vibe and food was amazing too! Texture of handmade pasta was pretty good and worth trying. We got pretty full and missed a chance to try tiramisu but would love to come back again!
I’ve been here multiple times before and I’m kicking myself for never having written a review. Cent’Anni is truly a gem. Their backyard is so special and the indoor ambiance is low key and great. What keeps me coming back is their delicious food! I love their chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. This time I got their liver pate crostini for my appetizer. My boyfriend ordered the skirt steak with arugula and Parmesan cheese and the tomato and basil crostini. Everything was delicious as always! Their service is great too!
Centanni had been my go-to Italian in Crown Heights for years. It’s very cute (though the indoor tables are a bit crowded now), I love the covered patio, and enjoy the food. It can sometimes vary in quality as I think they’ve had different chefs at different times. Shout out to their gluten free pasta option and yummy affordable brunch.
Got there very early for Sunday brunch and they seated us right away. We had a 3 yr old and the server asked if she'd like crayons and and a coloring page, which was totally sweet. The food was solid and was very good, as were the desserts. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The decor and ambiance were pleasant without being distracting. Definitely a place worth coming back to.
Service was lovely and attentive, the interior and atmosphere is beautifully done. Food was a bit of a let down. Squid ink with calamari and pomodoro was okay, lasagna was weird, and Cesar was unbalanced. Cocktails were good though, I’d recommend coming here for that and dessert.
The ambiance is very nice. Loved the outdoor seating. The servers were very friendly and attentive. We wanted to love the food, but we all ordered the squid ink and thought the same thing. It had a lot of pepper, but no other flavor than that. We saw a lot of good reviews so I’d like to come back again and try a different dish instead to give it another chance since the setting is so nice.
The food was amazing The cocktails were delicious! The service in the front at least was okay Don't know if this is because it's a hacking night in the backyard or whatever was happening I think that it's definitely a restaurant world worth going to for a date night like I did or by yourself or however Pasta's, phenomenal! I would talk up the service to a rough night and would recommend a spot for anyone
I did a delivery order. Their crostinis are good. The penne à la vodka was bland
Beautiful decoration and atmosphere. Lovely live music at occasions, but we were no able to hear it at the backyard (where we were sitting). Pasta (Tagliatelle Funghi, Penne Pomodoro) was underwhelming, even though it the Tagliatelle was handmade. Bruschetta was delicious though. Would still go there again and try the calamari and ravioli.
The restaurant is easy to miss. Inside the restaurant is bit too dark for me. I used the candle on the table a lot. The calamari was not rubbery. We expected small pieces of bruschetta but it was one big toast we had to cut. I wouldn't mind going back in the summer to see what the space looks like and have the lamb ragu.
The fried calamari with spicy pomodoro sauce was good. The mushroom pasta was was also good, but the rabbit ragu was just alright. I wished I had gotten the lamb ragu but the server had brought it up as a special. The rabbit itself didn't taste very flavorful and had the texture of pulled chicken, which is not a bad thing, just nothing spectacular. Service was great and the ambience was nice. I thought that the one of the pasta dishes was a tad bit overcooked and not as springy as I had liked, but the other pasta dish had a good texture.
Holy moly. This place knows how to set the mood and gift you an incredible meal to match! The atmosphere that exists in that back patio is something else, feels like you’re not in BK but in Italy. The food though, incredible! Delish! Simple flavors and ingredients that were so divine. I went with two girlfriends, we each got our own entree but shared the kale Cesar, that incredible lemon raspberry gelato tart, and a bottle of bubbly all for $40 each! Like what a steal!
We came for brunch on New Year's Day. My grilled cheese and tomato soup were very delicious. They have a reasonably priced bottomless brunch for $35/90min. The Americano was really smooth. The inside has a cozy feel but the outside backyard they changed up and I'm less of a fan. The service I have mixed feelings about. The guy who delivered our food and drinks seemed confused a lot and every time our server would come through the back door she would interrupt me mid word to ask if everything was okay. It felt too often to be an accident. Overall great prices, food and atmosphere.
Great location within walking distance to Brooklyn Art Museum. We had 8 guests on a Sunday mid day with reservation. Our table was waiting, food was very good, nice service, overall a good brunch before heading to the museum.
Honestly I was disappointed in the food. The service was alright. The waiter was nice but the rest seemed to not particularly care. We ordered two orders of pesto pasta with chicken and then the bread pudding. They gave us bread to start with which tasted stale. Our pasta came quickly after. The pasta was good but dish overall was bland. The potatoes were hard in the dish. The pesto needed more oomph. The chicken didnt have any seasoning and some parts of it tasted rubbery. The bread pudding was disastrous. The gelato with it was delicious but the bread pudding tasted like it was made 5 days ago. It was hard like a rock! I was really disappointed after seeing all the raving reviews. I dont see myself coming back anytime soon.
The restaurant itself is cute and has a nice atmosphere. The squid ink pasta was over cooked in my opinion and there were sprigs of Rosemary all over that overpowered the dish. The sauce was ok. I was not thrilled with the food even though I wanted to be.
I used to come here a lot and loved it, but everything has gone downhill in the last few years, the food especially. The pasta wasn’t salted, salad was watery and not fresh, meat and seafood weren’t cooked with care… I’ve felt angry the last two times I’ve gone, so I’m done.
Had brunch today here for the first time and must admit the service was pretty pathetic. We ordered the bottomless brunch which was barely bottomless because the server was nowhere to be found when we needed to order more drinks. I work in hospitality myself and Ive worked many brunch shifts and I know a busy shift when I see one and it was NOT busy. There was a server a bartender and runner on the floor but the server just took our order and barely checked in on us. She then promptly decided to give us the check without asking if we needed anything else and said we couldn’t get more drinks cause our time was up. She didn’t ask if we wanted dessert tea coffee NOTHING. Just dropped the check and walked away very nonchalantly. Keep in mind it took us 10 minutes to get our first drink which was a mimosa which takes less than a minute to make. Also since the server was nowhere around we couldn’t order as many drinks as we wanted because we had to wait to get some service. I don’t know where they hired this server but she was not efficient and not hospitable at all. I would totally understand the wait if it were packed but it wasn’t. I’ve had dinner here several times and the service was always great so this was really disappointing.
Prices that won't break the bank, and a nice atmosphere to get you out of the house. Otherwise, paired with food that won't break any records. Had the lasagna and the penne alla vodka - the penne alla vodka was particularly bland and worse that a bottled sauce (in my opinion), but the lasagna had some hearty notes to it.
Just had my first meal at this restaurant for lunch. Here are my pros and cons. Pros - very friendly and efficient service, great look and atmosphere. The bread is delicious and the olives in the olive oil are a+. Cons - pasta wasn't anything special, sauces for the pasta even less so, very little flavor in the pasta dishes and bad texture made for unappetizing dishes.
Cent'Anni is a solid 3. I've come here at least a dozen times and love sitting at the bar with a glass of wine. It's one of those places where the ambiance works for just about any occasion: date night, dinner with a friend, or even solo dining. The bummer is that the food is pretty average. They boast a homemade pasta menu with slow-cooked sauces, but the flavors are always pretty flat. Of all the pasta dishes I've tried, which is quite a few, the only one that's actually pretty good is the orecchiette with pesto. I tried the tiramisu the other day which was also pretty unmemorable. Despite the lackluster food, I continue coming back for the laid back/intimate bar vibe and vino.
The brunch food was incredibly bland. The parmigiana Italian eggs and the potatoes had no seasoning whatsoever. The side „salad“ was a handful of spring mix lettuce, no dressing. The service was friendly but slow and not attentive. It took them over 20 minutes to take our food order. There was also an off-putting fish or stale dishwater smell in the bar area when we came in.
We went there for new years eve to hear some live jazz music. The music was excellent but we were too far away to hear enough, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was nice. They had one vegan option (penne al pomodoro) which was okay but really nothing special. The pasta wasn't much different than the pasta from the supermarket, my friend's pasta was handmade but she couldn't tell the difference either. The bruschetta was amazing though. But i wouldn't go there again, honestly.
The upside is the restaurant accepts reservations and were accommodating when our entire party wasn’t able to attend. The egg plant and fig crustinis were very good. The mussels tasted great (we all ended up vomiting from this the following days). Fried calamari came out a bit cold. Eggplant Parma with spaghetti was good. The salmon was overcooked. The lamb ragú pasta was overcooked and mushy. One of our appetizers didn’t come out and we weren’t able to flag down our waiter until all the other apps were finished. He apologized and said this was “on him.” Not sure I would recommend this place based on the apparent food poisoning and underwhelming pasta dishes.
Good place cute backyard seating. Attentive service and nice ppl. My mushroom pasta was good w the grilled shrimps. Calamari also good. Love chili flakes. Kale was also a good side for my pasta. No one else really enjoyed their meals tho, chicken parm is not good, the chicken is dry and taste like cafeteria school lunch pizza. Ragu meatballs was good, but the pesto couldve been more creamy.
The pasta was underwhelming. I’ve certainly had much better around town. The Buratta was a gorgeous serving and very delicious. The salad was also a bit underwhelming. The cocktails looked fun, but we didn’t partake. The staff was friendly and the place itself is very cute. The backyard is definitely worth sitting in. Everyone was kind and attentive but the food didn’t make much of an impression on me. I wouldn’t be opposed to trying something else, but there isn’t much pulling me back aside from maybe wanting to try their cocktails. All in all, it’s cute and the staff is friendly but the food didn’t meet my expectations.
We had a horrible experience. Recommended to us by a friend, we were told Cent’Anni was a great restaurant that had freshly made pasta. As it was our date night, we were pretty excited to try something new (we are regulars at an adjacent restaurant). Upon entering, the vibe was cool. A little dark for our tastes, but what can you expect from most modern restaurants. Our waitress, though kind, was quirky and a little awkward when assisting us with what to order. The food… no. My partner is familiar with Italian cuisine and ordered the Ricotta and Chicken pâté crostinis. They were not memorable, and completely lacked flavor. We told our waitress and it seemed like she had an attitude with receiving the feedback. The calamari was alright, but tasted like a sports bar calamari— which I wouldn’t expect from an Italian restaurant. Our main courses were atrocious. We could not even stomach or eat another bite of it. It was odd, both of our entrees were highly recommended by the waitress and seemed to have good reviews on it. I got the Branzino with gnocchi and my partner got the Lamb Tagliatelle. She described her dish as tasting like it came from a can, and not fresh. Mine DEFINITELY did not taste like any sort of Branzino. My gnocchi also was boring. There was no flavor in both, and honestly, if I continued to eat my fish, I would’ve gotten sick. By that point, we gave our feedback for it to be comped, paid & left. It was disappointing to say the least. My partner, who is very experienced in working in high end restaurants, also noticed there was no chef and no manager on the floor to speak to… on a Friday night. Granted, the place was quite empty which we understand why now. Not sure if it was a bad night, or the lack of leadership translated through the food, but we will not return. Thank god our go-to restaurant was just around the corner.
Went with a party of 4 plus babies. I ordered the bottomless and others ordered a la carte. 6 mimosas later, we asked for the check and see the mimosas separately charged ($66 for the mimosas plus the $15 entree, rather than $35 for bottomless deal that should have included entree and drinks). When I pointed out the discrepancy, the waiter says, "oh that requires table participation. " Why [censored profanity] wouldn't you tell me that before I ordered 6 mimosas?!? Or even check in with me after the 3rd mimosa? In any case, you guys really messed up here; lost a loyal customer living two blocks away for a $40 gain...
Was there for an hour and asked when we'd be leaving as we were paying the bill. Had ordered dinner for 2 with an app and a drink. If the host needs a time estimate then ask the waiter serving us. Could've saved you this bad review. Unfortunate because everything else was on point. Food was stellar. Best calamari I've had out in a long while.
Probably the worse service ever. I didn't get water until 10 minutes in. Also I didn't have a server. The food isn't good. The bartender openly talks about how much she likes or dislike the costumers which is based on the tip. I think this place has potential and maybe I was here for a bad night but I would not recommend this spot. There is another Italian spot up the street or I would try Mayfield's which is more American.
With such beautiful backyard seating & attentive service it breaks my heart to say that I will not be going back. The food was just so dull. The handmade pasta itself was delicate and light, but the sauce was incredibly boring—worthy of a grade schooler’s palate. The Ceasar salad was creamy but neither cheesy nor garlicy. The calamari was ok, but nothing memorable. It would’ve been nice to return with friends, but alas, I can’t endorse this blasé menu.
The service was disappointingly subpar, even Mc Donald's outperforms them in this regard. On the bright side, the food was excellent, with every dish hitting the mark. The drinks, while not extraordinary, were made with care by a friendly bartender. The manager came across as pleasant and concerned, but his defense of poor service was misguided. The pricing is quite reasonable, which is a plus for some. Dining out is about the overall experience, and service plays a crucial role in that. It's frustrating to wait 5-10 minutes for water on a hot day, or to have to request a server, only to find the order process disorganized.
My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. He had lasagna that he didn’t enjoy, it tasted like a replica of home food. I asked for my skirt steak medium well and received it well done. The mashed potatoes were so DRY. They lacked lots of milk, butter, and even some salt. It was flavorless. When I asked for butter on the side, it had something in it so I asked for butter again. The waitress’ face expressed annoyance when I asked for a different one. Again, the butter had tiny traces of breadcrumbs in it. I didn’t get her name but she is the “manager”. My spoke to the manager about the lack of flavor in the food and even let her know that I know it wasn’t her fault. She took everything off the bill but as she was doing so, she kept rolling her eyes, sucking her teeth, her body language was very telling on how upset she was. When I confronted her about her nasty attitude, she was defensive and trying to deflect and manipulate me into thinking she wasn’t displaying her annoyance. I asked her if the money is coming out of HER pocket and she refused to answer. I asked her again and she said “no but it’s coming out of the restaurant”.. which indicates that she shouldn’t have taken it so personal. Her attitude was SO DISGUSTING AND UNPLEASANT that I’m GLAD I told her off. She was all happy when she thought we were spending money and treated us poorly and disgusting because SHE decided to take everything off the bill. It’s not our fault they lacked flavor in the food. Nobody wants to pay $50 for food they didn’t enjoy at all. I tried to bring it to her attention in the most respectful way and she acted disgusting!! I honestly felt like it was racism. They love to treat us well when they think we’re spending money but the minute we don’t, their true colors come out!! I will NOT be coming back and I DO NOT recommend! I didn’t get her name but it was the MANAGER
A Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish I had high hopes going into this meal, but unfortunately, nearly every dish fell short. The chicken parmigiana was a major letdown—pounded too thin and then overcooked to the point of dryness. What should have been crispy and juicy was leathery and flavorless. The amb ragu with pappardelle was equally disappointing. The pasta was overcooked and clumped together in a goopy mess. The ragu itself was bland and had a gummy texture, likely from an excessive use of thickeners (xanthan gum, perhaps?), which overwhelmed the sauce and left an unpleasant mouthfeel. The bread served at the table was clearly not fresh. The interior was dry and crumbly, and the crust lacked any real crunch or character. Even the garlic bread—usually a highlight for any garlic lover like myself—was disgusting with this thick layer of gummy garlic paste and little else to redeem it. Overall, this meal felt like a collection of missed opportunities and poor execution. With some attention to texture, flavor, and ingredient quality, this place could improve—but as it stands, I won’t be returning.
These ppl can NOT possibly be Italian or know ANYTHING about being Italian! This is a travesty. I just ordered Rigatoni & the noodles were dry & the meatballs tasted like they were out of a can of Chef Boy Ar Dee. The sauce was watered down & the Mac & cheese tasted like it came out of a box. They took a SQUARE piece of Kraft cheese & slapped it on top & it wasn't even melted. Just look at this HOT mess. I will NEVER EVER EVER order from here EVER again. If this was the last place to eat on Earth I'd starve n drink water!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE AT ANY COST!!!!! No disrespect to the delivery guy. He was the BEST thing about placing this order! If I were able to rate a zero “0” I def would have. Just looking back at this picture makes me cringe at how bad this food was.
I was expecting the pasta to be made in-house. The gnocchi was tough and under mixed as it had holes in the center. In addition, the pasta was undercooked and stuck to the roof of my mouth. The garlic bread was wet and made with garlic paste and a touch of cheese, not exactly my thing. All in all, it was a strange experience. This location is pretty, and the drinks were delicious, but I found the food wanting in many ways. Go for the bar not the food.
They double charged me for an appetizer - I called the next day, they told me to email, which I did. No response. I got the pesto gnocchi, and the texture was okay but the pesto was possibly the least flavorful I've ever had.
Just so disappointed. I ordered eggplant parmesan from Grubhub. When I ordered there was no box at the bottom to make special requests, and no picture. It basically was the name of what I ordered no description. The food came with an extra paper bag. Inside was 4 slices cold bread and no butter. The food came in a big container so I thought wow the portion would be a nice size. When I opened it more than 3/4 full of spaghetti and 2 slices of eggplant parmesan! I paid $25 for 2 slice of eggplant. There was no seasoning and not cooked through and no breading. I ended up throwing it out. I didn't want pasta and definitely don't feel like I got what I paid for. This was a fail. NEVER again.
i feel really bad leaving this review but i am so completely disappointed and unimpressed. the spaghetti al limone is just spaghetti (didn’t taste fresh or homemade) with lemon squeezed on top, and barely any at that. it was fairly flavorless so i added some spices, and the cheese from my penne vodka, to liven it up. the penne vodka also tasted like bulk pasta; the sauce would have been good if it wasn’t so thin and so sparse. the black kale caesar is just regular kale in a box with a couple croutons and 2 slices of cheese. i can’t believe i spent this much money and this many calories on this food. i wish i had just made it myself, it’d be way better. i’m sorry, i just really needed to be honest. there’s better pasta elsewhere. :-/
Arrived at exactly 7:17 and left at 7:38. Was sat with my fiancé, they poured us water but a waiter literally never came to our table for 20 minutes. 7 minutes before I left I flagged someone to send a waiter, still no one came. Was frustrated watching a watching the waiter go to every table but ours, started to seem like it was on purpose (maybe the person I watched wasn’t our waiter but still). 20 minutes is crazy, just ended up leaving, super disappointed because I like the food here. Do better.
As I was stirring the pasta to mix sauce with noodles and chicken... this little black-painted silver THING was at the bottom.. I have never had such an issue like this in my entire life (foreign object in my food). It looks like a broken piece of something I can't even guess what it could be. I'm genuinely disappointed as 1. I waited months to finally satisfy my fettuccine Alfredo craving just to be completely turned off by this and 2. Based off reviews and presentation I had higher hopes of higher quality food and service from here... I guess not.
