Avis sur Cent'Anni Brooklyn
Visited about a week ago for a Saturday dinner, and the place was pretty packed. That aside, the food was delicious (I got the penne alla vodka) and I ate every bit. Prices were pretty reasonable for a restaurant. also, the lemon sorbet was just wonderful!
Cent'Anni is a staple of the neighborhood that I've lived in for years now, which says something considering all the places that have come and gone in that time. The vibe is a mix of old and new Brooklyn, cozy ambience of dimmed lighting and wood furnishings with tasty modern cocktails and cool staff. This is where my husband and I like to go for impromptu date nights, but I also came here for NYE with some friends this year and it was exactly what I hoped for. Such a friendly and celebratory vibe, they decorated and gave out hats/glasses/beads/etc., and they booked live musicians to play the whole night. They had a special menu (the lobster ravioli and the octopus were awesome!) and kept the cocktails flowing (think pink was tasty!). The staff here are always very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
The food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. They threw a NYE party with great live music and gave everyone party favors. Just a good time all around. Strongly recommend checking this place out.
Centanni had been my go-to Italian in Crown Heights for years. It’s very cute (though the indoor tables are a bit crowded now), I love the covered patio, and enjoy the food. It can sometimes vary in quality as I think they’ve had different chefs at different times. Shout out to their gluten free pasta option and yummy affordable brunch.
The staff there were very competent and helpful as I came there with two young grandchildren. Meatballs and calamari were loved by myself and the young kiddos. Excellent lasagna! My 2 year old grandson devoured 1/2 entree portion! Lovely atmosphere with a moody indoor space and an outside garden type experience
Visited this place for lunch after Brooklyn Botanical Garden. It took us about 10min walk. Very cozy and nice vibe and food was amazing too! Texture of handmade pasta was pretty good and worth trying. We got pretty full and missed a chance to try tiramisu but would love to come back again!
I’ve been here multiple times before and I’m kicking myself for never having written a review. Cent’Anni is truly a gem. Their backyard is so special and the indoor ambiance is low key and great. What keeps me coming back is their delicious food! I love their chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. This time I got their liver pate crostini for my appetizer. My boyfriend ordered the skirt steak with arugula and Parmesan cheese and the tomato and basil crostini. Everything was delicious as always! Their service is great too!
Consistent go-to in the neighborhood. Good happy hour. I like the Sterling Sour cocktail. Nice seating in the back, almost always friendly staff, homemade pasta, reliable. Pick your pasta, sauce, etc. Broad menu and rotating specials and apps. It’s been a staple for awhile and 98% of the time delivers. Speaking of, fast delivery if you’re nearby and ordering.
Great location within walking distance to Brooklyn Art Museum. We had 8 guests on a Sunday mid day with reservation. Our table was waiting, food was very good, nice service, overall a good brunch before heading to the museum.
The upside is the restaurant accepts reservations and were accommodating when our entire party wasn’t able to attend. The egg plant and fig crustinis were very good. The mussels tasted great (we all ended up vomiting from this the following days). Fried calamari came out a bit cold. Eggplant Parma with spaghetti was good. The salmon was overcooked. The lamb ragú pasta was overcooked and mushy. One of our appetizers didn’t come out and we weren’t able to flag down our waiter until all the other apps were finished. He apologized and said this was “on him.” Not sure I would recommend this place based on the apparent food poisoning and underwhelming pasta dishes.
Good place cute backyard seating. Attentive service and nice ppl. My mushroom pasta was good w the grilled shrimps. Calamari also good. Love chili flakes. Kale was also a good side for my pasta. No one else really enjoyed their meals tho, chicken parm is not good, the chicken is dry and taste like cafeteria school lunch pizza. Ragu meatballs was good, but the pesto couldve been more creamy.
The pasta was underwhelming. I’ve certainly had much better around town. The Buratta was a gorgeous serving and very delicious. The salad was also a bit underwhelming. The cocktails looked fun, but we didn’t partake. The staff was friendly and the place itself is very cute. The backyard is definitely worth sitting in. Everyone was kind and attentive but the food didn’t make much of an impression on me. I wouldn’t be opposed to trying something else, but there isn’t much pulling me back aside from maybe wanting to try their cocktails. All in all, it’s cute and the staff is friendly but the food didn’t meet my expectations.
As I was stirring the pasta to mix sauce with noodles and chicken... this little black-painted silver THING was at the bottom.. I have never had such an issue like this in my entire life (foreign object in my food). It looks like a broken piece of something I can't even guess what it could be. I'm genuinely disappointed as 1. I waited months to finally satisfy my fettuccine Alfredo craving just to be completely turned off by this and 2. Based off reviews and presentation I had higher hopes of higher quality food and service from here... I guess not.
