Coffee Uplifits People Brooklyn Reviews
Great vibes at this place, Needed a refreshing cortado. You should try!
Christina at the front desk was so sweet and patient! I love the coffee atmosphere and vibe of this place. We almost passed it up but I’m glad we stopped and there was two bathrooms! Will be back
Best coffee shop in Brooklyn! The staff is so warm and kind. They always greet you with a smile and are just genuinely nice which you don't get in the service industry these days. The coffee and food is so good. I have never gotten something I did not like and they have a lot of good options for a cafe. I love all the light and real plants inside and they play the best music. I am a regular and I always see others coming back frequently which says a lot!
Excellent customer service. And when I was waiting for my coffee I believe the owner sitting at a table asked me if I was being taken care of, which I was. I don't mind waiting a minute or 2 but the fact that she cared to look up from what she was doing, to ask me that, says a lot about the character of who's running the place. And coffee was great as well.
Friendly staff, good coffee and quick service. The space is also great, with plenty of seating, comfortable chairs and plenty of outlets for getting some work done. The location is nice and central as well. Especially nice that they have later hours in case you need to work late or pick up a drink going into 3rd shift.
Such nice people working here. Great coffee, pastries and their lemonade is so good! Very much enjoyed my experience here & I highly recommend. Again, their staff is so friendly! I come from Chicago where everyone is so rude LOL but here, they were so friendly & inviting. New favorite spot 🤍
Had a great experience today! I was greeted by Christina’s warm smile and Kwabenna’s timely movement as he started preparing the coffee the minute I ordered! He adjusted the air the minute I showed discomfort. The food was warm and tasty! Love the aesthetics and personal attention by the perfect team. I’ll be back soon!
I rarely write reviews, but really wanted to acknowledge this great addition to Bed-Stuy. Not only is the service friendly, the atmosphere relaxing, and the menu delicious, what stood out to me was finally there is a cafe that doesn't charge extra for non-diary milk alternatives. I have visited many cafes in Brooklyn and Manhattan over the years, and being charged for a splash of almond milk in my tea has been a constant annoyance. Thank you C.U.P. for doing something different. I'd give 10 stars.
I love stopping by this coffee shop in Brooklyn. Not just for the lovely decor, but for the different workshops that are held here monthly. It’s a beautiful workspace as well where you can get a cafe or a cocktail ☕️
CUP is seriously such a gem. Amazing workspace vibes, tons of outlets, great lighting, and the kind of energy that makes you actually want to get stuff done. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the whole place just feels laid-back in the best way. I had the Berbere Turkey Mozzarella Melt and wow… so good. Flavorful, melty, just the right amount of spice and sweetness. Also, everyone here is mad chill; it’s the kind of spot where you can post up for hours and feel totally at home. Highly recommend.
WOW. 💯💯 where do I begin? I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Great energy amazing staff quality all around. And the food and coffee was just lovely. Great background music but yet able to work I if you were using a computer.✔️ my girlfriend and I love to travel and check out coffee shops! We headed straight to the airport from enjoying our experience and left a bag behind. Tony was so kind to be sure the bag was expedited to us so we could make our flight back home A+ all around !!! they truly mean what they say their coffee uplifts people and they do too! YOU MYST check them out soon ❤️
This is my new favorite place! Probably just had the best cold brew that I’ve had so far. The staff was friendly and pleasant. The space was clean, even while being a bit busy for a mid afternoon in the middle of the week. But my coffee was very good. I regret not trying the baked goods but now I have an excuse to go back.
The space is beautiful, and the staff are courteous, but it took too long for them to make my coffee to go and my beyond patties were burnt. I noticed that several guests were served before me when they came in after me, and they were dining in. It took about 20 minutes for me to be served and I could barely eat my food.
The portions are actually ridiculous. A 'Large' is seven dollars and the size of a Dunkin small. They didn't have the drink that I wanted so I decided to go with what the woman at the counter recommended. What I got was the most watered down sad excuse of a latte. It literally taste like milk and water. Not to mention the fact that I had to wait for two baristas to make one drink. It literally took about ten minutes for my one drink. I stood at the counter waiting, I felt really uncomfortable as the one barista stared at me as if he felt threatened. Very poor hostility. I will not go here again. I will only recommend to people who like bland overpriced coffee and somewhere to work.
This CoMPANY SHORT CHANGES ARTIST I worked on this project for three days in 30-degree weather, commuting over an hour each way by bus while carrying 60 pounds of equipment. During that time, I completed more work than originally agreed upon, including four full panels and an additional smaller panel. Due to existing vinyl on the windows, the original design could not physically fit as planned. I communicated this clearly, improvised, and updated them throughout the process. The only unfinished element was an additional image planned for the opposite side of the building, which I was scheduled to complete the following Monday. Unfortunately, I came down with a respiratory infection and informed them that I wouldn’t be able to return. Despite the substantial amount of completed work, they chose to withhold $50 from my payment, claiming the project didn’t fully match “their vision.”mind you, I had adjusted the final price because I didn’t finish the final panel on the other side. Communication around payment was unnecessarily difficult, and the decision to short an independent artist over such a small amount was disappointing—especially for a company that claims to support and uplift people. $50 won’t break me, but the choice to withhold it speaks volumes.
So, I’m probably not the typical customer and I don’t even leave reviews normally. I’m a restauranteur and own coffee shops in two states. Coffee is my business, so I’m passionate about it. That said: Please please please begin dialing in your espresso. Espresso should NEVER pour out of a portafilter on a la Marzoco machine. Even with the bottom grommet removed, espresso simply doesn’t flow like that. Most drinks, when you’ve got milk involved, people notice less. But, I ordered an americano. Just told them to keep it, I didn’t even feel like finding somewhere to throw it away. Watching a concentrated double shot pour in 11 seconds hurt my soul for today. Great vibes. Beautiful aesthetic. Not for someone who actually their espresso shots poured correctly.
