Crown Garden Brooklyn Reviews
The Red Lobster roll, Volcano roll and Dancing Eel sushi rolls were great! Especially on a hot summer day the sushi was refreshing to have to cool off. Fish and sushi rice was fresh. Location was great , restaurant near Brooklyn art museum and Brooklyn Botanical garden. I am becoming a regular here.
Absolutely delicious new Chinese restaurant near Eastern Pkwy - Brooklyn Museum stop. A few of the best dishes to highlight: Szechuan Roast Pork Stir Fry -Sweet & smokey roast pork with a five spice and brown sugar blend is perfect for any meat lovers. Plus, the charred red peppers, onions and jalapeños are yummy! House Special Peking Noodle -Sweet dark soy sauce base with salted pork and ginger to be mixed with noodles. The balance of sweet and salty is perfect and the soy sauce egg was surprisingly delicious too. Salmon Tuna Poke Bowl -Big portion of fresh fish with mild Sriracha and kewpie mayonnaise. The kids really liked this one and finished the whole thing. House Special Fried Rice -Highly underrated! The roast pork again is amazing here, and the shrimp and fried eggs really support the fried rice. The service here was quick and friendly. The ambiance is quiet and good for families and kids. They mostly do take-out and delivery and have some tables inside.
Because it was only about a two minute ride away and also had good reviews, we stopped by Crown Garden for a late Sunday afternoon lunch after visiting the Brooklyn museum. Although predominately a takeout/delivery restaurant, there are a few tables at which to eat and the dining area and bathroom were very clean and a step above the dining areas you often find at small Chinese restaurants. We were greeted by two friendly women who when we remarked that the dish we wanted, cold sesame noodles, was not on the menu said no problem, we can make it for you! So we ordered the noodles and sesame chicken. Portions are generous and our food tasted fresh and flavorful. By the way, they use white meat for their chicken dishes and offer both dim sum and sushi as well as the standard Chinese takeout dishes. Prices are very reasonable. Two thumbs up for Crown Garden!
I did a carry out order and was pleasantly surprised. This place is newer so I thought I would give them a try. Im happy to say they had some of the better Chinese American takeout in this area of crown heights/prospect heights which tend to be subpar. If you want actually decent Chinese American this place hits the spot. Haven’t tried their other Asian dishes like sushi or poke yet but if it’s as decent as their Chinese food it must be worth it to try. Prices are a little higher than other comparable restaurants but the quality/flavor seems better and portions are reasonable in my opinion. This review is totally based on the food. Did not experience the full service or atmosphere of the restaurant.
The portions were big and the food was so so delicious. Dirty cheap too. I’m so happy a Chinese place with good fresh sushi has opened in the neighborhood!
Just came to get some sushi, the woman at the front desk was very kind and the sushi came very fast. 6 pieces of the salmon avocado roll was around $6. Very yummy 😋
This was the best! It's a small, family owned restaurant with super tasty food that's served fresh, hot, and delicious. Also, the portions are really generous, especially given the low prices! I'd come back again for the lunch special in a heartbeat.
Salt & pepper chicken wing(6), dragon roll, tuna bowl very good food and service is very good

I ordered the black pepper steak and beef broccoli over rice, it was so delicious and fresh. The staff was super nice and generous. I will definitely be back!
Great value, great service. I was craving lo mein but worried about getting enough protein with the vegetarian lo mein on the menu, so I asked for them to add tofu and they were happy to do it. The dish was perfect.
Called in to order some delivery and food came hot in 25 minutes! Had the orange chicken, lo mein, and pork buns! (I have also tried sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, soup dumplings, and scallion pancakes in the past!). The food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious!! Each order also comes with a free soda and a fortune cookie :) Classic Chinese takeout prices but with higher quality ingredients! It is definitely our new go to Chinese delivery!
I tried every poke bowl around the prospect park. Their poke bowls are master pieces. Fresh fish, soft, quality products. Everything is perfect. This is my #1 poke bowl restaurant around the prospect park. I really ate them all. Will definitely get more food from this place.
Really lovely folks and GREAT food. All of the food was hot, not doused/drowning in their respective sauces and really tasty. Very well priced for great quality. We had sesame & general tso’s chicken, beef and broccoli, scallion pancakes and pork dumplings. The dumplings were massive and well-filled and the chicken was nice meat and not overly sweet. Note: They do have seating inside but not full table service.
Delicious Chinese-American restaurant serving all the classics and then some! They make bubble tea 🧋The staff is friendly, the food is fresh. Get yourself some salt and pepper wings with fried rice. You'll thank me later.
Came here for dinner on a Thursday without any expectations and was blown away by the flavor and the nice service. We had the salt and pepper chicken wings (strongly recommend), sesame chicken, pork bokchoy steamed dumplings, and others. Definitely check this place out for a casual dinner.
Excellent Beef Fried Rice! Great pork dumplings! Outstanding chicken/shrimp and broccoli! Great old school egg rolls I grew up on! Found my new Chinese delivery!
This place is across the street from my apartment. Its so good! Generous portions, fresh ingredients, the BBQ spare ribs are excellent and this is coming from someone who doesn't like them normally! It has a very quiet chill atmosphere we enjoyed eating our lunch in the restaurant!

The food was surprisingly delicious! It’s not your typical take out Chinese food you think of. I would say it is one step up from that. We ordered a little bit of everything; pork bok choy dumplings, pork buns, sesame chicken, Szechuan beef and pork fried rice. The last 3 were very big portions and every single thing hit. The highlight for me was the sesame chicken. It was so crispy and the right amount of sweet and still very juicy. Came with steamed veggies and white rice but I held off since we ordered the pork fried rice. All in all a great find, will definitely come back to see if it is consistently good.

EDIT: Came back here today and was severely disappointed. Seems the recipes have changed since they opened. The mapo tofu I ordered was NOT the one I was so excited about when I first came here. It was incredibly bland and had zero meat. Worst mapo I have ever eaten bar none. Great chinese food. Peking noodles are great. Beef short rib is great. General Tso’s is perfectly crispy — not too hard or soft. Even the brown sugar boba was really good.

4/12 Took a chance and ordered from this new spot since they left brochures in my building! I regret it! Not my type of customer service AT ALL!!! Customer service is in this neighborhood is usually top-tier but not here. They took my order over the phone, tried to overcharge me until I corrected them and took my credit card information, charged my card and NEVER delivered!!!! I walked over to the restaurant and they were closed, shutters down. Promised to deliver in ten minutes and closed the store. The store closed at 10, we ordered around 9:50, if the order was too close to closing time they should have just turned down my order. If they don’t deliver and prefer pickup then relay that because the brochure and website doesn’t say that! I WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: I went in this morning to get a refund, I was informed that my order was giving to someone who came to pick it up. I was never told that this was a pick-up spot and why would you give someone an order without asking a name and seeing proof of order? Two, the manager proceeded to ask me to take down my review that she seen this morning, so before calling me the customer to rectify the issue you're asking if I can take down the review? I would have been more understanding and deleted it if I was contacted this morning to remedy the issue, but it proves that the review was more important than rectifying the issue. I didn't appreciate being undermined. I was also offered cash refund and not back on the card until I firmly requested a refund back on the card. I'm understanding to a fault when it comes to new businesses not being 100% perfect but I AM NOT changing my review on this one because I hope it makes them change their system and process and work on their lack of attentiveness when it comes to customers in this community! I won't ever be ordering from them again, but you do as you may!
