Fada Brooklyn Reviews
I love Chinese food but I never had the chance to explore various regional variations. This place opened my eyes to a different world. We had vegetarian options and they were all absolutely delicious, abundant, and rich in flavour. Service was fast. Highly recommended!
I love Xi’an Famous Foods and every time I visit NYC I make a point of eating at one of their locations. Extra Spicy is perfect to my West Indies heat tolerance. This one is located pretty well and hard to miss. The dine in area fills up quick, so you might have to go outside and find a bench or something to eat. There’s a restroom for customers.
I finally visited Xi’an Famous Foods in Williamsburg and it completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles and the Spicy and Sour Lamb Dumplings in Soup, and both were absolutely incredible. The hand-ripped noodles were perfectly chewy and soaked up every bit of the rich, bold flavors from the cumin lamb. The lamb was tender, fragrant, and had just the right amount of spice. Every bite was packed with depth and heat, making it one of the most satisfying noodle dishes I’ve had in a long time. The dumplings in soup were equally amazing. The broth was intensely flavorful, with the perfect balance of spice and tang. The lamb dumplings were soft, juicy, and full of flavor. It felt like a warm, comforting hug in a bowl with a spicy kick that lingered in the best way. Xi’an Famous Foods delivers bold, authentic flavors that leave a lasting impression. If you’re in Williamsburg and love spicy, well-executed food, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back.
Finally getting to try some Xi'an cumin lamb noodles has been a long time coming and I'm so glad I chose to eat some here. It was exactly what I was hoping for - chewy noodles, strong flavor, and a powerful numbing spice that still, at medium, didn't overwhelm the ceiling of my spice tolerance. My partner had the beef muscle instead of lamb, and it was shockingly tender. The hawberry hibiscus tea was also delicious and we had to grab one extra for the road.
It was really good! Very authentic Chinese noodles and the staff was very friendly. Would recommend!
Minimal wait time and absolutely worth it. The food is authentic and delicious. I was halfway through enjoying the pork zhajiang hand-ripped noodles when I had to order the cold skin noodles too. That dish became a popular street food where I grew up—back when I was around 8 or 9, down at the condo complex in Yancheng. The moment I tasted it, it brought back a vivid childhood memory, like that scene in Ratatouille when the critic is transported by a single bite. It was such a moving moment that I took the time to thank the chef for making my day. Highly recommend!
I love this Xi an famous foods - their new chicken dish is so so delicious and generously portioned
Clean place with amazing Chinese hand-ripped noodles! They also have home made tea in three flavours - jasmine, chrysantemum or berries. Very kind and cheerful lady at the counter :)
It was the first time that I tried noodles, and I can say that here you can find delicious noodles well prepared in a informal environment where you can take away or you can sit down and enjoy them directly there. If you are in Brooklyn in bedmond area, I really suggest you to give them a chance and you will not deluded. For me, it's approved 😋😋
Spicy seitan salad, stewed pork hand ripped noodles and the beef burger! No waiters all online order at kiosk then wait. Good AC, clean bathroom, food was about 10 min wait and fresh!! Very good and not greasy at all. Worth the money all on all those 3 items were just under $30
One of many positive experiences at this tasty local chain. This location is less compact than the one in Greenpoint with plenty of seating available. Quick service from friendly staff. I had my usual spicy cumin lamb noodles with the cucumber salad and left absolutely stuffed. Very happy to have this place so close to home.
The food is very authentic here. The noodles are amazing and freshly made. The dumplings are okay, maybe too dense. The presentation of the food is not pretty, however. If they switched out the cheap takeout containers, the food would look so much better.
Cannot express enough how delicious the food was. Best noodles I've ever had and the amount of flavour for what you pay is madness!! There is a reason this place has the reputation it has. Keep up the great work. Service was also really nice and the open kitchen feel makes you feel that they really care about what they do.

If I could eat one dish for the rest of my life it’d probably be biangbiang noodles. And Xi’an Famous Foods does them so, so well. We used to have a great spot in Toronto called Artisan Noodles that sadly shut down during COVID. So I was beyond excited when I moved to Brooklyn and discovered not one, but over a dozen locations to get the famous hand ripped noodle (in addition to great pork jia mo). If you’ve never had it, Xi’an Famous Foods is probably the platonic ideal of comfort food. Spicy chili oil, thick noodles, fragrant lamb, pork or beef. The service is always fast and friendly. The spicy cumin lamb are obviously a favorite, but I also love the pork zha jiang noodles. Only warning, be careful with white tees.
A taste of authentic Xi'an style hand pulled biang biang noodles! They're authentic as the noodles have the right balance of chewy texture across a thick and delicious noodle dough served in a fragrant, garlicky and spicy broth. It definitely hits the spot. The dumplings are also super delicious and packed with the meat and vegetable stuffing that definitely satisfies the tummy. Would recommend.
Get the tingly beef noodles. They won’t disappoint. This place is no frills and great for a quick bite. The noods have a fantastic chew.
Noodles here are AMAZING! Great for lunch or a quick dinner. Atmosphere is like dine in diner service style, easy and chill environment to come with friends or family or to dine solo.
Quick, casual, spicy, fills you up for the rest of the day. Stick to the N8th or Manhattan ave locations. Best to eat the noodles there but they travel fine.

Honestly, Xi’an Famous Foods never disappoints. I got the N1 cumin lamb noodles — the smell alone had me hooked before I even took a bite. The hand-pulled noodles are wide, chewy, and so satisfying, and the lamb was tender with zero gamey taste. The cumin and chili oil combo is just addictive. I also grabbed the B1 pork burger. The bun was crispy outside and fluffy inside, stuffed with juicy, flavorful pork. Every bite was messy in the best way possible. If you like more heat, the B2 cumin lamb burger packs a nice punch that’ll warm you right up. I’m usually not great with spicy food, but here the spice is balanced — it’s fragrant and flavorful, not just burn-your-mouth hot. A cold soda water on the side was the perfect match. The place itself is simple, nothing fancy, but honestly that’s part of the charm. Prices are fair for NYC and the portions are super filling. If you’re nearby, do yourself a favor: get a bowl of noodles and a burger. You’ll be thinking about it long after you leave.
The food is very good. If you're not used to spicy foods I recommend you try the milder versions of things. We were two people and each had a plate + some spinach dumplings, and it was plentiful (if you don't eat a lot, just one plate is more than enough). The noodles are hand stretched, they are thick and chewy and very delicious.
I’ve been to several Xi’an famous food locations and they’re all consistently good. I finally tried the famous spicy cumin Lamb noodles. I’ve tried just about all the other soups and my favorite is the beef. It’s very tender. I enjoyed the lamb too, it had a unique taste and the broth is flavorful. I recommend trying this place out at least once. You won’t find noodles like these often and for such a good price. I like their Sour Hawberry juice too. Tastes a little like Hibiscus water or "agua de Jamaica”
Great food! Atmosphere is a little strange; everything is very well lit but it seems like it should have a cozier vibe, imo. I had the spicy cucumber salad and the tofu custard, both were delicious and affordable!
It’s really good fresh noodles and ice tea . I recommend soup noodles during fall who doesn’t want heavy foods during the day . I ordered cold noodles and warm soup. I love warm soups. I will come again to try another food’s .

Decent counter serve; nothing groundbreaking but definitely a staple in terms of tasty and affordable Chinese food. Very doughy, chewy noodles made to order (yay!) and you’ll leave feeling stuffed.
I can’t say I had a good experience. Ordered on doordash. From the get go, I wasn’t able to request it extra spicy because they didn’t take special requests and did not have a phone line. The food got here hot, but I thought the beef muscle was way too tough, and the lamb cumin sandwich, while generous in protein, had a bit of an odd texture as well. Also didn’t get any utensils.
