I love their dinners. I always get the large oxtail with three sides for no more than $16. I enjoyed the food and sorrel. Best Caribbean restaurant in Brooklyn. Other restaurants that serve the same food is always crowded and have people waiting on line for a long time, or just too expensive. I really enjoyed myself. Family had been going to Glorias since I was little.

Food was DELICIOUS! Truly a gem. You MUST get the ox tails. The Stewed chicken was delicious - especially in the Roti. Don't get us started on the Macaroni Pie. Thank you Gloria's!!

The food is really good, I had the ox tail dinner with rice and beans and cabbage. The potato salad was great. I ordered shrimp roti for my daughter. All she kept saying was this is good!!!. In the morning when they first open there is no wait. As the day progresses from midday to evening it gets really busy. They have a nice variety of food.

I just so happened to be in the neighborhood with a friend when we came across Gloria's. She had never tried doubles and we both wanted some good comfort food. Well, Gloria's did not disappoint. We ordered 5 doubles and a shrimp roti. We shared it out. It was delicious! The ambiance isn't much, but it's clean and casual. The front door slams hard, which is distracting and annoying after a while. But there is a casual seating area and to me, the most important factor is, it's clean. The guy at the front (I should've asked for his name) was friendly, welcoming and hospitable. I also found him to be very attentive. He offered extra tamarind sauce without an issue and when I needed a bag for my leftovers he handed it to me before I could ask. I really appreciated that. I look forward to returning and supporting this small business. And will gladly recommend it to my friends.

I submitted a pickup order via Ubereats. It was ready within 15 minutes and was ready to go when I got to the restaurant. Pickup was simple, food was delicious.

Gloria's catered my party for ~50 people. Food was absolutely delicious. The grilled chicken was some of the best I've ever had. Everyone was extremely friendly, delivery was on time, and they followed up plenty of times to see how everything went. Highly recommended for catering, will definitely be ordering from them again during our next party!

Food is delicious and large portions served. I felt as though one of my Caribbean friends cooked the meal. You will get your money’s worth with no regrets. I loved the service I received from the owner Kim. Her hospitality shows me that she loves what she does for a living. Kim is very honest and pleasant. Even though food was a little late it was worth it considering I was all the way on the other side of Brooklyn. Kim kept her word and kept me up to date.

I have never been to Gloria's, but I ordered a roti and skins through Uber Eats once and ever since whenever I feel like roti;Gloria's is my go to place. The roti filling is very good and the skin is tasty. I would recommend her roti to anyone ..

This is my second time eating here. The first was at the other location, which is closed. I went there pre covid. The only reason I know of this place is because my friend is of Caribbean decent and she knows the food and what to order. I took her suggestions. I had the stewed curry chicken roti. As you can see from the pics the roti is a big portion. The potatoes are perfectly tender and seasoned with the curry sauce and the meat is fall of the bone delicious! It was one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. They don't have seating so I ate in the car. I was full beyond measure, I didn't eat for the rest of the day. For those who just don't know what to eat when it comes to Caribbean food, break the ice at Gloria's. You can't go wrong. There wasn't anything I didn't like. I give an enthusiastic 5 stars. Enjoy!

Clean establishment and the food doesn't take long. Please bring cash and they aren't taking orders over the phone right now I'm guessing due to the orders that get left and never picked up. We had Conch roti and Ital dinner. Very good food!!! Calaloo is more Jamaican Style than Trini style. Sea moss drink was also nice. There are tables and chairs if you want to eat there. Most of the people order takeout.

Love their food! Fresh, filling & for me! I always order extra cabbage as its seasoned and crunchy just right with my stew chicken gravy up 'pon mi rice & peas and macaroni pie! Mmmmmm😛 Oh, and don't sleep on they cakes! I never can buy just a slice. I can say, that with gentrification continuously expanding in this Caribbean Crow Hill area, our new neighbors flock there for good eats daily.

Gloria's is a neighborhood staple. It's been there for as long as I can remember and even though they have several locations this crown heights location here on sterling Pl and Nostrand is to me the best. Food is always good. Period. My fave is the roti & curry(chicken). Their sorrel drink is hands down one of the best. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they're a bit pricey and I hate those effin lines and the slow service, besides that, two thumbs and taste buds up!

Delicious West Indian cuisine, I have been eating here for years and I have never been disappointed. I enjoy the curry chicken only thing missing was the sweet plantain. Thank you Gloria's for the nourishment.

Went on a Tuesday ... This was one large Roti (did ask for extra chix ) hats off to the Cook - one of the best Sauce Ever flavorful and grainy. Also had the Goat - meat was tender and its sauce was just as good... cashier was somewhat attentive... cannot give a true five till the Flavor is consistant in 6-7 months ... will return

It was okay. I wanted to like it more because the ladies were so nice and efficient. I had brown stew chicken. It was okay. Not a lot of meat on the bones. The rice and peas were sticky and goopy. The Mac and cheese needed more cheese!

So far the best Roti shop I know! It's always packed, but the service is fast. They have dining on a small scale but I never stay. I just grab and go. You can park in the supermarket lot if there's no on street parking. After all, it is Brooklyn!

Gloria's is a good spot, It's usually hard for me to find GOOD Roti and doubles, everybody makes them and they aren't any good, this spot does a great job, the flavor was awesome, i was stuffed and needed a nap afterwards. You should definitely give Gloria's a try!

I wish I could say the food is consistent, but certain things taste different from day-to-day, cook to cook. I am not a fan of the doubles. They were a bit too thick for my liking. I like my doubles to melt in my mouth along with channa that isn't thick.

Mostly take out although their are A few tables. I would say this is pretty authentic west Indian food. Just enough spice and turmeric on the boneless chicken roti. Rice and peas were decent also. If your in the hood it's worth a stop.

Disappointing. They must have changed cooks since I last ate here. The stew chicken used to have a slightly sweet taste that I loved...but, the flavor has changed. It's now more savory and slightly spicy which might be fine for others. Problem: They take cash only, no credit cards. They did have an atm machine their but, there's an additional fee to use it. Problem: No menus or signs describing what's available. I asked for a menu and they said it was online.

The food was really good, but the attitude of the lady at the counter who is taking your order is very nasty. People need to value people’s money in this time of hardship and it’s also crazy to me that u have to ask for napkins and eating utensils.

Gloria's roti and doubles are always good. I LOVE their curry chicken and I actually prefer to get my curry chicken from them over a lot of other restaurants. The downside is the wait time for delivery is over an hour long and I wish this wasn't the case, especially because I'm a 10 min. drive from them. I usually have to order for pick up or order 2 hours ahead of lunch/dinner just for it to be on time but the staff & the driver are usually courteous and nice.

Bought some chicken soup it was very tasty but my only issue was the salt, I couldn't finish all. I called to let them know but no one picked up. The cook needs to go lighter on the salt or high salted seasonings. Not everyone eat and like their food salt having the customer add is always better.

Go in person. 2nd Review: I ordered a 2nd time, through Uber and I did not get what I paid for. My receipt stated that I ordered an Oxtail meal, but I revieved goat. Big disappointment! Ordered online to pick up in store and when I walked in to pick up my order the woman appeared bothered… full fledged ignoring me. When words finally came out of her mouth it was “UberEats”? So I explained I ordered online and showed her my conformation and walked away. Two minutes later she appeared and placed a bag down. I wanted to ensure the pumpkin was included so I asked her “ is the pumpkin in the roti or on the side and once again it’s like cat got her tongue. Finally another woman appeared from the back, I asked and she answered. Food is good, customer service wasn’t great.

The curry chicken was very salty and I called and complain. She said she would tell the chef. I know good curry cooking and this curry on the chicken need to cook. It sees as if they just added the dried season’s and not make it cook properly so it was very salty and bitter. The roti itself wasn’t bad but I couldn’t enjoy it because it was already soaked in the salted chicken curry. The atmosphere was very dingy and the staff could be a little more attentive and friendlier to the customer.

I was really craving some roti so I ordered the beef one from Glorias. I wish the meat was more tender, but the flavor was good. The potatoes and chickpeas were also delicious. I ordered my roti wrapped. It was a good size. I was able to eat it in two sittings and it cost around $13/$14 because I ordered for delivery. They also gave me a lot of meat which I appreciated.

Based on recommendation I expected better. The curry conch dinner was good, the conch soft. The curry fish dinner was dry but not bad, had some bones. Goat roti had tons of big chunks of bones and lots of (chickpea flour?) granules in the folds, which made for odd chalky mouth feel. Sorrel is cherry flavored pure sugar in liquid form. Most customers wear a mask inside.

Had the beef roti. It's been better. Don't know what's happening there, but the flavor wasn't like I remember. Even the Red Solo was off. I wonder if they're still going to Trinidad to get the spices.

Ordered food from here .. oxtail and white rice . Rice no flavor at all I had to throw it out , the plate was oily they soaked my rice with the oil from oxtail. Oxtail was okay not really any flavor in that neither. Doubt I will be eating from this spot again

I stopped by the restaurant yes to buy 2 bags of phulourie with sauce. The server was a short brown skin woman with short hair. The first thing she did was question me about 2 bags. I tapped on the counter twice and she started to serve me. When she placed the first bag of phulourie in a plastic bag I asked if she remembered to place a fork in the bag. She almost snapped off my head.. I remained quiet , took my stuff and left. I will never return to that restaurant.

Very disappointed on my last visit, the staff were just ignoring the waiting customers. Took at least 20 minutes to just order a roti , and another 10 minutes to get said roti. A Stark difference from just 2-3 months ago. May just be my last order there. De Hot Pot on Flatbush Ave would be my go to roti shop in the future.

Roti is always good but the customer service is horrible. Standing on line waiting patiently to order food. Lady took someone order behind me. When I order she had given him the last of what I was ordering. So I asked how come you give him his order when he was behind me. She replied oh because your short I didn't see you and laughed. I wasn't amused really at this point didn't feel like ordering anything else.

Sad to see a staple go sour. I grew up going to Gloria’s for years but it’s just not the same. The doubles are ok, the curry is subpar and the buss up is doughy/floury 🙁. To add insult to injury, the attitude at the counter is out of this world. I will definitely choose De Hot Pot any day.

I loved Glorias but the food at this location was not good the last couple of times I had it. It was salty, the plantains barely edible, and the oxtails were not tender. Over the years i have frequented this restaurant and endured their slow service, and what it seemed was no effort to improve on their takeout process to reduce the waiting times because the food was good. I even moved to ordering a large oxtail instead of a medium so i would get six instead of four oxtails however, if the food is no longer good i have no excuse to return. We had a good run but please do not become complacent in providing mediocre service. Remember to keep food quality and service at the forefront of your business.

Save your money or stay Hangry! Ordered food at 8:22pm after an 1 hour and 30min we checked in and they said the delivery man ran into trouble with drunk people. After 2hours we checked in again and they said it “should” be out for delivery but the driver is stuck in traffic due to a parade. At 11:30pm no updates from restaurant until we call and check in. They said the driver was on the way and almost there. No thanks, it’s been too long. How can anyone be expected to wait that long for their food??? I understand things come up and maybe the driver did run into issues. But if we called twice, why not update or offer a refund? Pretty sure the delivery driver clocked out for the night.

Ordered a curry shrimp roti and curry shrimp platter .....both were absolutely disgusting!! The shrimp seem old and reheated ....curry shrimp is suppose to have a sauce to it, instead it was covered in a dark brown paste/ close to dry. I also ordered white rice with my meal and they gave me rice and peas instead......if I could give them 0 stars I would!!!! Save your money

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My wife ordered food from GrubHub at 557pm we did not get our food until 817pm. Not only did it take them over 2 hours to deliver the food but it was cold and it wasn't what we ordered AND the food was terrible. How do you mess up OXTAIL??? There was no gravy on either foods (even though we put a request for gravy on the rice in the comments section) and the workers/owner or whoever worked there that day was unapologetic and unaccommodating. Just stay away from this place, pleeeeeease!!!! Worst experience ever, hands down.

Waited an extra hour for delivery, ended up cancelling the order. Called at 30 min late, over the phone I was told that the food just left. Called when it was one hour late, apparently my food never left and its just sitting on the counter, likely cold. For paying 80$ with a $10.50 delivery fee this is unacceptable. Maybe if you walk in it's different, but with how this went I'm not going to try to give them a second chance.

A fried told bf and I that they have ready good food, so we drove over to try. The worst ever. The ox tail was so tough,plantains was not sweet at all. They didn't even put gravy on the food. Bad experience. Food may be good, but they did not give me a chance to find out. Over an hour after of slated delivery time, I call multiple times: staff is rude and even annoyed that I called to get an update. I decide to cancel after over an hour and get a call that the driver was 8 minutes away.... 30 minutes later I call to ask and the last person wasso rude I finally cancelled (which I should have done within the first 1 hour 1/2. Never again...

This place is super incompetent: I ordered two curry chicken meal and instead was given two curry shrimp. When I called, the rude and incompetent staff member brushed me off thinking I was calling because my order was delayed. When I explained I got the wrong order, she kept saying you have to call door dash and when I tried to explain she kept cutting me off and then hung up on me. The food is nasty and salty as hell, just like the service. They can’t even admit that they made a mistake. How hard is it to make sure the correct order goes in the bag. NEVER AGAIN UNLESS ITS FISHERMANS COVE.

The roti was horrible, the did not make it probably, it was falling apart and they just put it in zip lock bag and give it to the customer, I would give it a zero if that was a option. And I order a peanut punch and it was full of sugar a wasted of money.

My friend drove all the way from Boston. The woman at the counter was so nasty to him, because he wanted the roti skin separate from the curry. He had planned on taking back some with him on Monday. Not anymore. I don’t know if she is aware that because of her nasty behavior towards a customer, that business has lost money. Without customers patronizing, she will not have a job. I came to Gloria’s two days ago for my mother and ordered three doubles. It was around 11 AM and the Chana (chickpeas) were Hard! Undercooked! I mean, if the doubles aren’t ready then don’t serve them yet ! I should have brought it back to the store but didn’t feel like dealing with the attitudes they serve with. It’s like the people at the register don’t like their job . Overall, Every time I get food from this place, something is wrong !

Where do I begin? The service is horrible. Customer interactions are atrocious. I visited the restaurant more than 10 times and each time I expect the experience to be much better than prior. I want to support this business because I am a vegan but the service is horrible and confusing. Here are a few examples... This restaurant is not in my neighborhood so I had to travel to the restaurant each time which takes more than 15 minutes. I called ahead to find out if the meal is available because I do not want to get to the restaurant and to be told that they sold out of the meal. One occasion I called and was told yes the meal is available but when I arrived I was told that they sold out. On the second occasion, I was told that the restaurant closes at 10 pm. I called ahead to place the order and was rudely told that the restaurant closes at 9 pm and that they are not taking any phone orders. However, today was by far one of the worse experience I have ever had. I waited for more than one and a half hour only to be incorrectly charged for the items. As I observed the person who was taking and completing the orders, she was rude and extremely obnoxious. She did not follow up with customers to update them on the status of their orders. When you follow up, she dismissed you as if you were interrupting her. It was by far a very sad experience. Another young lady diligently wrote the orders down but I could tell based on my observation that she was new at her task. Today I say my goodbye to Gloria’s. This is not a business that I will continue to support.

My family & I have been ordering from this place for over 20 years. I recently ordered 6 buss up shot skins like I usually do and it's usually bagged separately & fresh.. this time I could tell it was from the day before because it was cold & hard. I called to inform them what the issue was & was told to bring it back. When my son carried it back he was then told they do not take back food, which is understandable but the OWNER also told my son "tell your mother if she felt like she was robbed she doesn't have to come back". I then called back to find out why was my son told that, especially with them knowing who I was. The OWNER answers the phone with a nasty attitude & says yes it was me Kim who told him that & when I told her who I was she still continued on like I wasn't one of her loyal customers. The fact of the matter is you don't run a business with that type of attitude & expect people to still support you because I could have been a new customer, who would have recommended people to your business now you lost customers. I'm sorry this rubbed me the wrong way & I will not purchase from here any longer.

If food safety and a good customer service is something you look forward to when ordering a meal, don't order anything from Gloria's in and out on Nostrand Ave. Not only do they send your food opened, where anyone can reach into it or touch it. They also get upset, nasty and ask you “why do you keep ordering from us then if you complaining”? Yes, i’m speaking of you Debra (if that’s even your name). I had just asked if they can seal or tie my bag before they hand it to the 3rd party deliver person. It’s not the 1st time they sent me open food, even with me adding a note, so this time I called just as an extra precaution. This was my last and final order with them. At one point I thought the food at Gloria's was good but after the constant disregard for customers and bad attitudes, I'll find somewhere else to eat. And I think you should too.

I have been eating from this restaurant for 20 years. The disrespect that I faced tonight was heartbreaking. I ordered on Uber eats waited for over an hour the driver calls and tells me that they refuse to give me the food. I asked what was the problem? The driver says they don’t have an item I receive no calls no notification from this restaurant. so I told the driver to tell them I will call or I can take something elseI called the person answers and takes the phone off the hook.I asked if I can talk to the person behind the counter and it’s a women who refused to talk to me.If you didn’t have what I ordered a simple call or cancel the order would’ve been the respectable thing to do. The women tried to get the driver to cancel the order even though it was not his fault.That is just wicked.

Note, I'm not rating based on their food. I'm rating based on the horrible customer service they have. My husband called to ask if they have lentil soup. We were told to come in to order the lentil soup. We make a round trip Lyft ride (approximately $40 worth) to arrive and find out they don't have no more- mind you, we called 30 minutes prior to arriving. We said, alright... and Tish said they'll have lentil soup tomorrow at 3pm. I said, fine, we will come back around that time. Next day, we come and I ask if they have lentil soup. Tish says no lentil soup until 5pm and to call before coming. I said, alright, I'll call around 5pm. I call at around 5:30pm, and Tish said management said no lentil soup because it's slow. I said, alright, "Will you have any tomorrow?", she said yes at 11ish. Tell me why my husband calls to find out THEY DONT'T MAKE DI LENTIL SOUP ANYMORE!!! Why waste people's time and money.... That's probably why there's no business! Make it make sense. Just absolutely ridiculous!

I ordered off Door dash and for $30 why would you give someone a plate full of bones. I didn't expect a mountain of oxtail but come on bones

The staff is so RUDE. I came in today 3.5.2026 and waited to be greeted so that someone could take my order. I was the ONLY patron in their establishment. I stood there for a good 5 minutes watching 1 of the ladies come back and forth, doing things like cleaning,etc. She saw me standing there waiting and said nothing. I walked out. I refuse to spend my hard earned money in an establishment with half decent food and POOR attitudes as if they're doing YOU a favor by doing their jobs !

The service is HORRIBLE🤮, the food is bad. The curry is so strong. They never follow your instructions, and always have an attitude as the food is free. I ordered oxtail with white rice, baggie and Callaloo on the side. I got some kind of soft rice with peas and carrots, three pieces of oxtail, no taste and the fat is still on the oxtail and the callaloo completely covering everything, it looked disgusting- called the restaurant. So nasty🤮 🤮the customer service is extremely bad

Staff said food on sign doesn’t match price charged even with cash and they won’t give me a receipt. Charged $33 for what should be 29. Horrible. Had to wait 15 minutes just to be told to wait again. Rude people

The oxtails were hard. It took over an hour for them to make the food. And when I called the restaurant to inquire about my order status, the person who answered The phone was extremely rude and hung up the phone on me. I was very polite, and still received horrible customer service over the phone. And to make matters worse, the food was horrible had no flavor and the oxtails were disgusting. I’m really disappointed so much so that I had to leave this review.

My friends and I paid and ordered online. When we went to pick up our food, she told us that a few items we ordered were sold out and we had to chose a replacement. She was very unhappy with the items we requested. I was talking to her and she just stopped talking and gave me a death stare for absolutely no reason. I asked her was everything okay and she continued to just mug, stare, and pushed the bag on the counter. The food wasn’t even that great for the nasty attitude.

This place has gone totally downhill. If you use a delivery app like Uber Eats they will get your order wrong just about every time. Sometimes they just cancel without rhyme or reason. Other times you will be disappointed with the quality - like the extremely salty soup that contains more potatoes than broth or chicken. Today I ordered the beef roti, which is supposed to come with potatoes and channa. I also paid extra for pumpkin. What I received had neither pumpkin nor channa. You can complain on the delivery app and maybe get a refund but UberEats never holds the restaurants accountable and then they suppress reviews whenever there's a bad experience. Therefore I'm making sure to leave a review here.
