I was shocked at the quality of the fish it was amazing! The salmon was buttery and fatty and there was a good portion of it from salmon and avocado. The fried oysters were girthy and big and juicy. 10/10!
My go to place. It hits every single time, I just wish they add crunch to their spicy salmon/tuna rolls it would top it off and be perfect

This place is surely amazing. Their specials are so good! And so is the food! This is definitely a “must go to” spot if you want perfect quality sushi. And I would also recommend their highly yummy “Fried Green Tea Ice Cream” it’s super good!
I happened to come and try Hayashi sushi restaurant out of curiosity, and it’s very worth it! The atmosphere is really nice around here and the tables are set very nicely and there is so much to choose from on the menu! The food they serve are very fresh and taste very nice

The sushi here is incredibly delicious! The flavors are fresh, and the quality is outstanding. Although the interior isn’t particularly impressive or stylish, the amazing food more than makes up for it. Definitely worth visiting for the taste alone!🍣🍱
I come here for more than 10 years now. Of course there is smth in menu I don't like, smth which my friends don't like, of course the atmosphere is cheap and nothing special. But all together the place is special, because for all these years it is still the best place for sushi and rolls in ny, even compared to the fancy places in Manhattan. The fish is always fresh, the price is always affordable, the service is always fast. And I really hope to repeat my review in another 10 years❤️

Very quiet and mysterious atmosphere, giving you full relaxation. Their green tea is a natural and tasty. Regarding the food, can't say anything. Anything you're ordered from the menu, going to be fresh and will have an amazing taste. About a service I would like to say separate. Waitresses very attentive and helpful, plus their service is so unobtrusive that sometimes you don’t even notice how they come or go. I really like a lot!

A quiet place with delicious sushi. The chef puts little rice in rolls, so you can taste the stuffing/filling. Fresh tasty rolls and good service.
By Far, The Best Sushi Restaurant in Brooklyn!!! I’ve been coming here since the day they opened, over ten years ago and I keep on coming back over and over and over, on average once a week. Thank you Chris and the entire Hayashi Family!!!
Consistency is key...it’s always great to know that when you come in the food will be the same day in and day out. Have been coming here for years and I am never disappointed. The place it self can get pretty busy during evening hours and there take out/delivery is always busy. If I order from home it can take over an hour to get the food. There are a lot of great things to get but my favorites have become the Magic roll and spicy yellowtail hand rolls with crunch.
Good, tasty spot for sushi and Japanese food! The rolls are always a decent size and everything is priced fairly, as Japanese food prices in NYC go! Great place to eat in and order out from!

Roll with mango is delicious
The restaurant is located in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. They prepare Japanese cuisine. Soups, appetizers, sushi, sashimi, bento boxes and various entrees are available. I ordered the unagi don and sushi bento boxes. It included soup, salad, a generous portion of tempura, California roll, three shumai, rice or seaweed salad and entree. The food was very good and priced well. Friendly and helpful staff.
Very average. Price wise it is reasonable. I would recommend the cooked appetizers more than the raw stuff. However, I do not recommend getting the sashimi. The fish was very cold and bland, I wasn’t able to taste the difference between the different pieces of sashimi. But overall I would give it a 7/10.
