Libertador Brooklyn Reviews
Delicious meat, good vibes, friendly servers.
We had an amazing experience at Libertador from start to finish. The entire staff was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Their support and attention to detail for our party of 12 went far beyond what we expected, everything ran smoothly, and we truly felt taken care of. Hands down, one of the best sangrías I’ve ever had! A huge thank you to Xiomara, Pablo, Leo, and Javier for their exceptional service and kindness. You made my mother’s birthday truly special and memorable. We are so grateful and can’t wait to return.
The setting has interesting details worth noticing. Restaurant workers provide attentive help. The freshness contributes significantly to the taste. The ambiance shows strategy. The food quality is reliably excellent.
I visited on a Wednesday night 2 hours before closing and it was empty which was nice. The appetizers such as the burrata and the shrimp were delicious and I would order them again. I also recommend the skirt steak however the tomahawk was different from the one I’ve had at another restaurant. I was expecting the drinks to taste amazing but I wasn’t blown away.
We’ve been coming here for years. We call ahead to reserve one of the corner tables next to the window and they always accommodate us. Top service with perfectly grilled meat. The food is delicious, nice selection of wines, and tasty desserts. Treat yourself!
Delicious!!! We ordered the fest for 2, everything was so flavorful, I have never had a skirt steak that was better on my life! Really enjoyed the sausage as well. They had some unique drinks, I really liked both I tried. Very friendly, courteous staff. Weird thing for a review I know but they had a super cool, old school bathroom that was very unique.
My family and I came here for brunch and we ordered: Mixed Grill for Two w/ French Fries Chicken Empanada Beef Empanada Fried Calamari Flan Calamari is always a classic appetizer—can’t go wrong with it. The empanadas were (surprisingly) really flavorful. The meats were sooooo delicious—everyone in my family loved it. I love a choripan so I made my own mini choripan with the bread they gave us & chimichurri sauce—so delicious! Speaking of the bread… my dad asked for more bread 3 times 😂 It was so soft and just so good???!! But I gotta say we all could’ve done without the flan—I guess we were all thinking it’d be smoother and not as dense as it was. The dulce de leche was good though 😅
The restaurant is small, but so cute. The waiter was sweet and patient with our questions. Calamari was good, the sauces were a little weird for me personally as I’m used to marinara, but it was freshly fried and yummy. The empanadas were also quite good, not used to them baked but it was pillowy and filled. The steak is incredibly good. Sangria on point.(the red is better than the white) I had the chocolate mouse and I wish the portion was bigger it was so good. Honestly why are you still reading this? Eat there. It’s good.
Literally 10/10 on everything!! The attention was just incredible, best service we ever had on a restaurant. And the food, no words for the food, the meat was one of the best I ever had, even better than the one I ate on Argentina. The drinks were good too, and it was my boyfriends birthday and they bring him a dessert and sang happy birthday to him!! Thank you for made his birthday incredible!! Everyone should come here
Really great Argentinian food! The chimichuri sauce was some of the best I've ever had and the steak was sooooooo delicious. We also had some lamb as well and that was great too. The mashed potatoes were delicious and beautifully made and the garlic french fries were pretty great too. This food was more on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for and what I paid for, was a great experience. The service was phenomenal, attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The food was very filling and it is likely that I'll return.
Great little place! This is actually the first restaurant in NYC that my family came to together in 2017, so it was really cool to go back again together recently. The food here is really good, from the appetizers to the dessert. I started with a chickpea and kale salad, and the table also ordered ham and cheese empanadas along with calamari. I think my favorite of the three appetizers was the empanadas; they were huge, fresh and really good. The salad and calamari were both great, though, don’t get me wrong. For my main course I had the filet, and it came with an interesting sauce on it that actually turned to be really good. For dessert I’d recommend the dulce de leche crepes; they’re really tasty. Both the service and the ambiance here are pretty standout, which is certainly a plus. The one negative about Libertador, in my opinion, is that you have to submit an online request and wait a few days for your reservation. I think they’d be better served to use a service such as OpenTable to manage their reservations.
Pretty good place for steak! Was there for a birthday. We shared the empanadas (highly recommend, especially the ham and cheese), Green Papardelle (soooooo good — wish I had gotten it myself), Milanesa, and several steaks. Service was pretty good and it had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely try again.
I had a wonderful experience here. My bf decided to take me here for valentine's day and it was delicious. I just wish they gave more steak. We were very happy with everything we ate. We had two different empanadas, mussels, and a meat platter that had blood sausage. Service was excellent despite them being so busy they were so pleasant with us.
Excellent food and good wine. However when the check came we were told we could not use tap-to-pay... That despite the machine accepting tap-to-pay. Explanation was that management was not happy with tap-to-pay! So even though I invited for dinner then my business partner had to pay. Simply not ok. I know of no other restaurant at this level where it is not accepted. Or rather, I guess it is a fair policy to have but then be up-front about it and tell it before first order. Simply give a bad ending to a good evening.
Hi, we have been at this restaurant on Valentines Day with the family as a we want to celebrate this holiday together. When my husband placed the order, I ask waitress to make meat platter ( steak, chicken, sausages) for $65, I kindly asked do not include a FAT pieces in it. And replace it if possible if fat pieces are in. He was smiling and said YES. But when the food arrived, 50% of this plate contained FAT pieces of steak. Of course, we can’t eat it due to medical restrictions. So, the whole evening was ruined by customer service and absolutely ignoring us. The waitress seemed to be doesn’t care at all about customers requests and pretended that everything is alright. This restaurant lost the quality of the food and customer service. Not mention that arround 6 pm in this day 80% oc tables were empty which means people simply avoid this place. Not me niether my family or friends who likes this place a lof before will come back at this place. It’s expensive and absolutely not worth to go there.
