Great cocktails and a nice atmosphere - we really enjoyed the music here. Came here before a reservation for dinner and got a seat at the bar. The cocktail list is relatively small but both of our drinks packed a punch and had good flavor. Would definitely come back again in the future.

An affordable dive bar with a 1920s art deco aesthetic. Cozy couches. Ample bar seats. Plus disco DJ sets. Volume is that ideal balance between enjoying the music and having a conversation. A lesbian bar with a good mix of jovial twinks as patrons. You won’t regret your visit.

A subversively delightful bar. One walks in and the place is cozy with just the right touches of freshness to keep it from being a pastiche. The lighting is soft, so everyone looks beautiful, even if you had a less-than-spectacular day. There’s a lovely mural as a back to the bar instead of filmy mirrors. There’s a marvelous soundtrack of gay chestnuts playing as background music for whatever one might choose to create. The selection of craft cocktails is impressive and creative. Many of their potions are made in house and exquisite. Every drink was served with care in some marvelous “found” stemware. Props for repurposing. I was fortunate to stroll in on an evening when Brenden, the owner, was working. I quickly became obsessed with his attention to detail, not to mention the supporting cast. Everyone worked so well and in concert, constantly checking, cleaning, restocking, prepping and it all looked effortless. This is a great bar in which to summon your friends, relax, throw off your cares, and create memories.

I ran into a creep on the streets so I ducked into the local neighborhood gay bar and I was met with kindness, help and an amazing martini. Adam made me feel safe and welcomed. An awesome staple of Carrol Gardens.
