Omiya Brooklyn Reviews
Nice sushi place with delicious food. While I transfer to bus to train, this is a nice cozy spot to get sushi especially with their lunch special. They served hot tea which was very soothing especially during these cold times. The staff is friendly and if you come when they just open, don't rush them and wait for the food to be served. Will come again !
I’ve been a regular at this place for months now and they never disappoint. As someone who lives right in the neighborhood, I’ve tried pretty much many sushi spot around here, but this is hands down the best. The fish is always incredibly fresh - you can tell they really care about quality. Whether I’m getting my usual salmon and tuna rolls or trying something new from their menu, everything tastes amazing. The rice is perfectly seasoned and the portions are generous. What I love most is the consistency. I probably order from here at least once in 2 week. and it’s been excellent every single time. The staff recognizes me now and they’re always friendly and welcoming. Bay Ridge locals, if you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re missing out. Fresh, delicious, and right in our backyard.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable sushi experience, Omiya Sushi is the place to be! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a memorable meal. One of the standout dishes is the Seafood Teriyaki, a flavorful masterpiece. The fish is perfectly cooked, tender, and succulent, complemented by a rich, savory teriyaki glaze that adds just the right amount of sweetness. The balance of flavors in this dish is remarkable, making it a must-try for seafood lovers. The Hawaiian Island (Chef Appetizer) is a true delight. It brings the fresh, tropical flavors of the islands to your plate with a beautiful combination of raw fish, fruits, and a tangy sauce that hits all the right notes. It’s both refreshing and exciting for your taste buds, with each bite offering a burst of freshness. Another unforgettable appetizer is the Salmon Pizza (Chef Appetizer). This innovative dish is an explosion of textures and flavors, with crispy, thin crust topped with silky-smooth salmon, a drizzle of creamy sauce, and the perfect amount of seasoning. It’s unlike anything you’ve had before, and the combination of creamy, savory, and crispy elements is a perfect fusion. Overall, Omiya Sushi offers a truly exceptional dining experience with dishes that are both creative and high-quality. Whether you’re a sushi enthusiast or new to the scene, you’re sure to find something that will leave you coming back for more. Highly recommended!
This your local trustworthy American style sushi. This is definitely a place where you have cravings and needs to cure your soul. I find this place really reasonable price with the quality and food and if you’re dining in definitely a very nice atmosphere staff are friendly and approachable I have been customer for more than 10 years I have no complain and would continue to be a loyal customer.
I think the atmosphere is very nice and cozy. Their lunch specials was worth it and I got the eel lover, it was tasty and had good flavor. I had the tokoyaki and it was okay. The octopus pieces in it was a bit hard but the taste was amazing. Service was pretty good, our orders were out quick and the staff are friendly. Would go here for some good quality sushi :)
The sushi rolls here are always fresh and taste so delightful. The spice of the spicy tuna roll is perfection. Person at front, whether they are man or woman, always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. If getting take out there are nearby stores for you to visit during the short wait time. Also if they see you outside the restaurant waiting when your food is ready they'll bring your food out to you. Great customer service!!
Omiya is definitely a local gem!!! If you love sushi, don't even hesitate to grab a quick roll or two - everything is delicious and fresh and will be worth it. The prices are quite reasonable and honestly, without exaggeration, it's some of the best sushi I have ever had in Brooklyn. Thank you so much to the courteous staff and sushi masters working here, we really appreciate the quality and attention to detail!
I usually go to this spot once or twice a month with my girlfriend.. Alot of specialty rolls that do buy one get one which is alot of food without spending Alot of money. We both love sushi and come often.. 😂 I don't take Alot of pictures here since I come often. Look at their Instagram we post and tag them pretty frequently! 10/28/19 Me and my girlfriend stopped going there because of bad service from Jan-July? We came back one more time to being greeted with familiar staff. The food and everything least to our memory is still how we remembered it. Like I we stopped going for a little bit due to the service. But it looks like upper management got back some old staff to take care of us. Give em a shot again for all regulars that left too :(
I love everything about this restaurant. The owner is a great guy. I had many great conversations with him when he used to be there day-to-day. The staff that are running things now are very friendly and professional. You will find yourself stopping by just to say hello... and then you will order lots of food. 😋 You will be happy with any meal you order. Presentation on the plate is beautiful. The prices are great. Dining-in gets you a seat in a cozy, clean space that can accommodate many groups. The chefs prepare meals right in front of you from behind a clear screen. You can watch them put together your meal and they get to watch you drool in return, I guess. Don't forget to take a look up on the wall when you enter. There is a nice assortment of sake for you to choose from. They run from low prices to some very expensive ones. There are also some interesting decorations all around that add to the peaceful ambience.
In every sense, Omiya goes above and beyond in terms of catering toward its customers. Customer service and food preparation is quick and on-point. Inside, it's important to note how clean it is. The small caveat regarding the building is how the bathroom can be stuffy and fairly warm, yet the bathroom is still maintained to be clean. However, the menu is by far expansive. With a clear emphasis on sushi, the menu guides customers easily to decide on their orders by having detailed descriptions and photos of each order inside. The business model of every sushi roll being at all times BOGO free is astounding for the over-the-top quality served. Essentially, what was before not as affordable becomes a fantastic deal that you won't second guess to ordering more than you'd expect to.
The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Japanese cuisine. Soups, salads, appetizers, poke bowls, sushi, bento boxes, noodles and various drinks are available. The nabeyaki soup is large and includes noodles, bok choy, chicken, egg and one shrimp tempura was very good. They offer buy one house special roll and get one free. Friendly and helpful staff.
One of my favorite places to come for a sushi fix. They have a wide variety of options and really great prices. There's a buy 1 get 1 free option on rolls. They also have bento boxes, lunch specials, bubble tea, teriyaki options and noodles. They have raw and cooked rolls. I highly recommend the spicy tuna rolls and the spicy Kani rolls. The dumplings are really good too, as is the shrimp fried rice.
