Prospect Bar & Grill Brooklyn Reviews
Very nice and enjoyable time. Wasn’t unnecessarily loud and the food came out expeditiously. The staff were generally attentive and again, the food was delicious. I got a burger and I couldn’t complain!
Great bar/restaurant menu on the weekends.Best shepherd's pie ever. Seated right away. Some nights have live music. Families and puppies sometimes go too. Very much a community pub atmosphere with sports on tv playing over the bar.
The veggie burger is great as are the fish and chips. The beer list awesome. Nice garden but the bar is my favorite spot. Lovely staff. Great place to hang out. They have specials so I’ll be there this weekend! A great neighborhood spot.
I was in the mood for salmon. I saw some good reviews for here so I gave it a shot. I ordered take out. When I went in I got the neighborhood bar vibe. Not the restaurant vibe. But it was good just the same. I was skeptical about my food. I ordered the salmon burger with sweet potato fries. Both were outstanding. Whoever is cooking to food, knows what they are doing. I will surely be back.
Great big bar with a wonderful atmosphere! We enjoyed some pints and fun lively music from the (Fretwood Brothers) the night we went. My husband had Reissdorf Kolsch, a delicious German beer & I had a Downeast Cider UNF, an unfiltered hard cider - also delicious. There’s plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. Next time, we plan to go earlier & try some of the food. Btw, thank you bartender, Suzanne for being super friendly & providing excellent service! Check PBG’s social media for updates on live music.
What can I say after moving out of town and then coming back to our go to place for a baby shower and they knock it out of the ballpark. The service and the food spot on. The burgers, wraps, portobello mushrooms, Mac & cheese. All I can say is go, go. Have next family party. Enjoy enjoy
came for dinner, but not even the candle light could help me see the menu, a bit too dark. Asked for fries to be substituted for sweet potato fries for one order, still got regular fries. On the second order we asked for salad instead of fries...... we still got regular fries. The food was tasty nonetheless. Just not something I feel I need to rave about. Would I give it a second chance, I would.
I ordered for pick-up, 1 order Salmon with Broccoli, 1 ordered chicken tenders and 1 order Brussel sprouts . The Brussel Sprouts were overdone and a pale green. The Salmon and Broccoli was DROWNDING IN some kind of butter sauce. My G-d. You can definitely do better than this!
It’s ok. Basically a typical park slope bar. Biggest problem was that the services was mediocre to the extreme. Bar staff just stood around talking to each other for 5 minutes before even deigning to acknowledge me. The bar was not busy. Food service (literally just a portion of 6 buffalo wings) took 30 mins to turn up. In the meantime I saw the kitchen get another group of three’s food order wrong. Scrapes a 3 star score since the atmosphere is ok and their beer selection has a couple of decent German offerings on draught. Otherwise Prospect Bar & Grill is not worth going out of your way for.
Servers were very nice and attentive. Food was okay. We had the chicken tenders appetizer and it was not very flavorful at all. The batter was supposed to be made in house so I excpected a little more. The atmosphere was terrible! The lights very dim and the music extremely depressing. Then they dimmed the lights even more and continued playing “sad vibes” music. When I asked politely if they could change the music to something more upbeat since it was happy hour the waiter asked the bartender and he said no. It was a depressing experience on a Friday evening!
The dining area had a very musty odor. The food actually had to be sent back due to it was so greasy it was inedible. The fries were great. Don’t order the minestrone soup. It was good, but it was full of leftovers and friggin chick peas.
