Nia, was extremely proffesioanal, attentive, proffesdipnal and courteous. She went above and beyond and was attentive to our needs. She made the celebration of my cousin 58th birthday 🎂 experience one that she will never forget..we lover her.
Traveling from Philly, my brother knowledge invited me to red crabs for the first time, me my granddaughter's and my cousin the food was delicious and we came back to Philly bragging about red crabs and we want to make a special trip back to red crabs March 20th to celebrate two of my brother's birthday there coming from Virginia Beach. Food delicious music off the chain Good vibes. Me and my wheelchair loveth there.
I’m a frequent costumer. The food, drinks and music is good. The only issue is they don’t have Prosecco or Rose. I love champagne and I wish they add this to the menu. Please look into this. Thank you
I love the atmosphere 😍 it's quite vigorous. We went on a Friday night, and the DJ was playing all the right music 🎶. The food was okay, honestly, a little oily. I ordered the fried calamari and Cajun rice with shrimp 🍤. The drinks 🍸 were strong just the way I like it, so that's a plus ➕️ in my book.
Went for a birthday on Valentines Day. Surprisingly, there was no wait time other than for the food to come to the table. They have different options of flavors and spice levels. They had different plate options on the menu available . They were playing 90'-2000 R&B songs, which made the vibe experience different from other places . The Vibe of the location is what made the difference and the food experience better.
My family and I had a nice time upon our uncle invitation to dinner. The first time there for us all. The food was good, the atmosphere was lively and the service was nice. The salmon, rice, and asparagus filled me up. Everyone else's enjoyed their food as well. Waitress was polite and even took a picture for us as we were leaving. I also ran into a friend of mine with his wife and daughter, who were dining as well.
I went with my co workers for happy hour. The atmosphere was good the lady that took care of us by the door stated happy hour was only at the bar ( which was full @ 5 pm) but that we can sit and go to the bar and order our drinks. We sat ordered our food headed to the bar and the bartender said no we cant do that. We sat down and ask to speak with the manager who never showed up. We were just informed that the guy had already informed the manager. Happy hour should be honor at designated sitting area when the bar is at capacity. Food was okay and the drinks kind of watered down. Overall our waiter was attentive and we tipped her well despite everything else. Wont be going here for an after work “happy hour” again.
Pasta food dish was warm! Restaurant was cool/cold Only 1 server that loved her phone more than job
First I would like to say the young lady who served us deserves the tip that we gave her, she did an excellent job. Summer, you are a hard working young woman and I appreciated your service on Sat night. It's terrible how the manager was at the establishment (pink jacket) and not even acknowledge the customers who had to wait for a min to order. The food was ok, the atmosphere was nothing to saw it was fantastic. I had the shrimp boil.
3/31/2023 My sister wanted to go back here so i went to try it out it is a good atmosphere but then again its not. One thing that annoyed me is as much as i love music the music in there was WAY TOO DAMN LOUD it was so loud i had to write down my order because there was no way the waitress was going to hear me im not a loud talker. I feel very bad for the people that work there that are in that loud noise for 8hrs or more its ridiculous and im sure there hear is in jeopardy you cant hear nothing but the music and dj there is no way you are hold a conversation unless your yelling the whole time.. Now for the food we arent seafood boil kind of people which it seems like most people go there for but we ordered a bunch of different appetizers and just went from there. even with writing the orders down the waitress still messed up our order and 2 of had our food while my mother was sitting there the whole time with no food and had to eat off our food and ended up bringing hers home because that's how long it took for the food to come back out. Now i had the calamari was was very salty and imitation i wasn't pleased with it, also the hush puppies didn't taste like anything the scallops were small and the breading didn't stick to it and they had no flavor there was no seasoning in the flour or batter the shrimps was alright what i really liked without a doubt was there wings they were a good size and flavorful i think if i ever go back i will just order the wings. For me it wasn't the best place to go for seafood i guess they put that back there for the people in the neighborhood.. They should really do something about the level of the music its just too loud for a place thats supposed to but a dine in place and not a club even though the music isnt bad its way to loud i left out of there with a headache so imagine how the employees must feel when they leave out of there after being there for x amount of hours.... If you cherish your hearing dont stay here too long. We went on a friday
I was very excited because I wanted to eat crab. It was my first time. The waitresses were very nice and professional, and the atmosphere was great. But the manager or receptionist—I'm not sure which—is a tall, heavyset woman with short hair. She treated me badly. I asked for the bill, and since the waitress wasn't coming, I went directly to the manager to ask her about something I didn't understand. I had ordered a whole crab, but I only received the legs, which were delicious. I just wanted to ask if they don't serve them whole since it's by the pound, but she assumed I was complaining and that I wasn't going to pay. She didn't even ask. She acted in a very rude manner, slammed the door, and went straight to the waitress who had served me. The waitress was very nice and cleared things up, but that woman has no sense of customer service. She should be fined for her behavior. Judging without knowing and asking questions isn't fair to any new customer, and it leaves a bad taste in their mouth after having enjoyed a good meal. The people in front should really be more professional because they are the face of the restaurant.
was really disappointed with the customer service during my visit. When I entered with my dinner party, the hostess/cashier was looking down at her phone and didn’t acknowledge us at all. No greeting, no eye contact—nothing. After we approached the hostess stand, she briefly looked up, motioned with her fingers to signal the size of our party to a waitress, and went right back to whatever was on her phone. It felt rude and unprofessional. A simple “Hello,” “Welcome,” or “Enjoy your meal” would have gone a long way. Instead, it came across as if her phone and whoever she was messaging were more important than doing her job or acknowledging customers. Once we were seated, someone in our party even commented on how poor the service felt. At that point, we decided not to stay. Why patronize a place where it feels like customers don’t matter? Good food means nothing if basic customer service is missing. I hope management addresses this, because first impressions matter.
Disappointing Happy Hour Experience I had a really frustrating experience at Red Crab. They advertise happy hour ending at 7:00 PM. My friends placed their order at 6:50, and I tried to add my order at the same time, but the bartender told me I had to wait instead of letting me order with them. By the time I was allowed to place my order, it was exactly 7:00, and suddenly the happy hour pricing no longer applied. I asked the manager if the discount could still be honored since I was trying to order before 7, but she refused. It felt unfair and like they were more focused on cutting off deals than taking care of customers. The heavy set lightskinned manager was very unaccomodating as she was just happy to have a full bar. Happy hour should be based on when you attempt to order, not on delays caused by staff. Overall, very disappointing and I won’t be rushing back.
My friend’s rice and salmon were overcooked and lacked flavor. My friend did not eat her meal and asked for it to be taken back because it was not prepared properly. My crab legs were very dark with black spots instead of the usual bright red, which made them look old and unappetizing (they were rotten) The portions were also very small for the price. When my friend asked to return her uneaten meal and requested a refund, the staff refused. A manager was called over but offered no solution. The situation was handled unprofessionally, and overall the service and food quality were unacceptable. What made matters worse was the unprofessional behavior afterward. Staff members were visibly talking about us instead of addressing the issue respectfully. That made an already frustrating situation feel even more uncomfortable.
The experience was **disappointing**, primarily due to substandard customer service at the point of entry. Upon arrival, the host remained preoccupied with a mobile phone and failed to acknowledge the group, leaving guests standing unattended without so much as a greeting. When attention was finally given, communication was limited to nonverbal gestures to a server to indicate party size, rather than any direct, spoken interaction with the guests. This initial contact read as dismissive and unprofessional, lacking even the most basic elements of hospitality such as eye contact, a verbal welcome, or a courteous introduction. The awkwardness of the exchange was notable enough that members of the party remarked on how uncomfortable it felt after being seated. In light of this, the group chose to leave before dining, as the absence of courtesy at the door did not inspire confidence in the service to follow. For an establishment in the service industry, frontline customer interaction is critical, and in this case, it was markedly inadequate.
This was hands down one of the most disgusting meals I’ve ever spent money on. The seafood tasted like it was old, poorly prepared, and completely drowned in awful seasoning that couldn’t hide how bad the food actually was. Nothing tasted fresh, and the entire meal was basically inedible. For the amount of money this place charges, the quality is honestly embarrassing. I felt like I completely wasted my money. I would strongly warn anyone thinking about eating here to save themselves the disappointment and go literally anywhere else.
Me and my mother came into this place today literally around 8:00pm. We got a take out order and went to the counter. The lady that was sitting there was on her Personal phone. Just chatting it up with whoever. She never acknowledged us when we walked up to at least say “hold on a second, I’ll be right with you”. When she did eventually hang up 3-4 mins later, she sat there and looked on her phone, locked her screen and said “I’m sorry how are you” blah blah. My thing is, I’ve been a chef/server for over 20 years. The littlest acknowledgement to a PAYING customer goes a long way because I’ve made over 6 figures a year doing it. Long story short, she took our order and said it’ll be about 10-15 mins. Me and my mother paid and we left NO TIP cause her rude self didn’t deserve one….moving on to picking up my order. I said thank you and she didn’t even say you’re welcome or have a good night. Word of advice, from being in this industry, Your employees will make or break you. We’ve been here over 15 times last year alone. But never ordered take out. I love coming to this restaurant, but that experience alone, I don’t want to go back AT ALL. You need to run those cameras back and reevaulte your employees. She’s rude and her energy is nasty and she’s not approachable. I don’t even write reviews but I had time today. Didn’t even taste my food yet but that experience alone left a bad taste in my mouth. My family and I will never return !
Very very nasty people! A male friend of mine came in at 9:30 P.m. on a Sunday 12/28/25 and asked for a menu not knowing the kitchen was already closed. I am on Facetime with him, and I can hear the whole interaction. The girl who is at the front booth where you pay ( larger light skin woman) says in a very nasty demeanor "I'm not serving you food bro, my kitchen is closed!" He said ok I thought you closed a 11pm. Very rude and disgusting as I'm hearing it on the phone. He then left to go order food to from Five Guys. He then said wait let me get a drink red crab because they are known for their good drinks. He comes back, the same lady goes " We are closed!!!!! I'm not serving you anything. If you want a drink from the bar you can go there!! " He goes Are you messing with me??? She said No we don't have no kitchen. He goes can I have a menu? , and she said go to the bar!! The bartender didn't greet him or interact with him at that matter. He asks for menu and she walks away. He ordered a drink and then was given the bill $21 plus a added gratuity which came up to about $26. When working in customer service I don't care if you had a long shift, please be respectful to people. I heard this woman call this man "Bro" like she knows him personally or as if they are out in the streets. For added gratuity why not make sure the experience is better? I've been here plenty of times and spent my hard-earned money and have never heard no bullshit like that before!!!! Please do better! My friend is new to the area and that was not very welcoming of you! Shame on you Red Crab! In this climate, you don't know what anyone is going through what and never know who might have lost someone that day! Be kind to people! People will always remember their first interaction with you especially a bad one! Be blessed!
Arrived at 9 pm on a Saturday. Place wasn't so packed and was seated with my group of 5 all the way in the back. Had to flag down staff and our order wasn't taken til around 9:45. 10:15 still no drinks or food. Service was horrible!!! Other people were seated and tended to Immediately. Was very disappointed at the way we were treated and disregarded. DJ was horrible. Would not recommend. Came because I heard their seafood was good. Lost my appetite after waiting for 1 1/2 hr for our food and drinks to arrive. Kept having to flag the waitress and staff to ask where our order was. Unacceptable.
The customer service was 🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️. I will never attend this location again. The drinks were even worse than the waitress who had us waiting for everything. We were constantly left having to wave her down like requesting a Yellow Cab in the city. The DJ was okay he was trying he has get his audience. It could've possible been the location as it's in a low income neighborhood and it showed Immensely. The lighting to the parking lot is out and that's dangerous for anyone. Also stop with the bday shoutouts this isn't Chucky Cheese.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my family and I had an unfortunate experience here. We came to celebrate a birthday and were looking forward to a nice meal together. However, from the moment we arrived, it felt like we were completely overlooked. We sat for over 30 minutes without even offered water, or acknowledged in any way. It was clear the restaurant was understaffed the manager was in the kitchen cooking, which shows great dedication and teamwork behind the scenes. Unfortunately, the front-of-house was left unattended, and guests like us suffered the consequences. It felt as though the attention and service were directed toward a specific group of customers, which was disappointing and disheartening. After waiting 45 minutes and with no service at all to our table however our waitress tended to customers that arrived after us we had no choice but to leave. Thankfully, we found another restaurant that was welcoming and able to accommodate us on short notice. I hope this restaurant takes the opportunity to evaluate their staffing and customer service approach. Every guest deserves to be acknowledged.
Strike one we ordered margaritas asked the waitress about salt around the rim of the glass. I was told that they don’t do that unless you ask. Then the waitress just gave us little containers of salt so we could put it on the rim ourselves as you can see in the photo attached . The food was good. The only other problem ordered half a pound of snow crab legs, and only got four skinny scrawny looking ones. The waitress sat at the front booth and from the booth. Ask us if there’s anything else we wanted..waitress only came by and checked on us one time.
