Sakhli Brooklyn Reviews
Amazing new Georgian restaurant with beautiful interior inside and very delicious food. They have nice wine list offering and a lot of different dishes options. Really enjoyed every single item we ordered - eggplant rolls, caesar salad was amazing too, as well as mushrooms stuffed with cheese, kharcho soup and salmon with vegetables. Totally recommend to try this place.
This place is an absolute hidden gem in Brooklyn! The food was seriously delicious, and the prices were surprisingly good for the quality. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I also loved the music — authentic Georgian, really nice and chill, not overwhelming at all. But what completely stole my heart was the interior. The design is just gorgeous — cozy, cute, and so thoughtfully put together. It honestly felt like the kind of space you just want to hang out in for hours. If it were closer to where I live, I’d probably be here every single day. Definitely worth the visit!
I found this place completely by accident - I was just searching “Georgian cuisine” on Google Maps and ended up here. Honestly, I was amazed when I walked in. Everything is made with such love and attention - the cozy interior immediately reminded me of the vibe of Soviet homes from the 1960s - 70s, where the postwar “bourgeois” style was still preserved in the homes of intellectual families. Just take a look at the tableware - it’s absolutely fascinating. It feels like visiting an antique museum where you’re actually allowed to use the exhibits. Later, I went to the restroom and was surprised again - everything was spotless, with every detail thoughtfully designed and maintained. As for the music, they played only retro Georgian songs, which perfectly matched the atmosphere. The combination of that music and the cozy setting filled me with nostalgia - it made me remember the old streets of Tbilisi, my childhood home, and that warm, comforting feeling you can’t really describe. The food was delicious, but together with such an interior and friendly staff, the experience was truly twice as enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates cleanliness, comfort, and the nostalgic vibe of Georgian culture and the Soviet-era intelligentsia. This is definitely one of my best finds in Brooklyn.
First time here and we loved it! It’s Georgian food. Absolutely delicious! The decor and music create a great ambiance as well.
Today I was pleasantly surprised by such a cozy and charming café. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. I’ve been to Georgia, and that was my best trip. And now I can say that this is the best Georgian café I’ve visited in the past 10 years.
The atmosphere is good and friendly. Pleasant music. Excellent service. Delicious food. Smiling and friendly staff. I recommend it to everyone.

A cozy, clean, and beautifully designed spot for coffee, a full meal, or dessert! I love that they preserved Georgian traditional touches, like the music, which added to the authentic atmosphere. The décor is stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Acharuli khachapuri — the size was perfect, and the crust was absolutely impeccable. I can’t recommend this place enough!

A great place!!! Everything was delicius, from the appetizer to the dessert. Thank you for the wonderfull dinner
Oh my God… this place is honestly insane. I’ve never experienced hospitality like this at any restaurant before. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, it actually caught me off guard in the best way. The food was brutaly delicious. The Imerian khachapuri was out of this world, perfectly baked and full of flavor. And the ojakhuri… wow. Easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. I can’t believe I never tried Georgina Restaurant before, def my loss. But also a win because I’ll 100% be coming back here often. Such a great vibe, amazing food, and genuine service. Thank you so much for a lovely evening, you guys really deserve the world 🙌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I live in NY for 30 years. I've been to many Georgian Restaurants. This place located on tiny Brooklyn street is absolutely exeptiona! The interior design, the home stile extraordinary table setting , amazing food (I cook georgian food myself), friendly georgian people create the athmosphe of pleasure and comfort!. I highly recommend the place to people who love georgian food! Thank you to the owner!!! Respectfully, Dr. A. Falkovsky
Having lived in New York for over three years, I've visited many Georgian restaurants/cafes, but I can confidently say that this one stands out. It's the first Georgian restaurant where I've experienced such a cozy atmosphere, mouthwatering dishes (especially the Ghomi and Megrelian Kharcho) and exceptional service. The decor, including the antique tablecloths, lighting, tables and chairs, adds to the charm of the place, creating a unique, welcoming vibe. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to introduce foreign guests to Georgian cuisine and enjoy an unforgettable dining experience.
I first ate here when they first opened about a year ago. The menu has just enough items for them to focus on keeping every item high quality. Their interior design is absolutely gorgeous. My favorite things to order are the khinkali and khachapuri. They’re the hallmark of any good Georgian restaurant. The owner and staff are absolutely wonderful and it’s been an absolute joy to see this place get busier over the past year. Glad to see people have become aware that it exists.
had the pleasure of visiting the CAFE SAKHLI, and it is truly an amazing place❤️ The atmosphere is very sophisticated, with impeccable acoustics and softly played music that creates a perfect setting. The interior is tasteful and stunning, with every detail filled with care and elegance❤️ The service is exceptional, and the dishes are absolutely delicious❤️ This is a place where you can proudly showcase the beauty, elegance, and uniqueness of Georgia. After visiting, you feel completely at home, and it inspires every guest—especially foreign visitors—to get to know Georgia more closely. A heartfelt thank you to the team!❤️❤️❤️
Me and my two friends visited CAFE SAKHLI , We had an absolutely wonderful evening. The moment we stepped in we felt immediately at home — the decor is cozy, warm and authentically Georgian, so it made for a perfect outing. The food was delicious: the traditional dishes were full of flavour and beautifully presented. We tried the Georgian traditional salad , the khinkali, the chicken in baje souse and ghomi with smoked sulguni one of the local specialties — everything was fresh and tasted genuine. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. A big thumbs up to them for creating a relaxed, fun vibe for our group. We also appreciated how the place strikes a nice balance — it’s comfortable enough for friends just catching up, yet still special enough to feel like an event. We’ll definitely be recommending it to others 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Another Georgian that hits the spot! It doesn't seem like this establishment gets many visitors (especially since are only a few seats). The interior is very boutique and the noise level is on the lower end. My friend and I enjoyed all the dishes that we ordered, so let's get right to it. In typical Georgian fashion, we got the Megruli Khachapuri. It was a lovely cheese bread dish with a pillow-like dough, that's filled with even more cheese. It's served on an elevated plate, enabling space for more dishes. Next we got the Gebzhali, which was a cold cheese rolled into a log with mint leaves in-between the layers. It has a more solid texture and contains deeper flavours with the mild sour sauce and slightly bitter leaves. For the mains, I got the Kuchmachi and my friend got the Megruli Kharcho w/ beef. I am a fan of the beef organs (e.g.: liver, lungs, tripe, heart, etc), so this dish immediately caught my eye. To my surprise, I didn't really taste any funk or metallicness in the organs. There was definitely a firm texture to each bite, but to me that added volume to the dish. While I liked the light spicy kick from the sauce, I wished the plate had more pomegranates but it would elevate the sweetness and textures. My friend was a fan of the Megruli Kharcho w/ beef. It was a curry-like dish, but the sauce had a noticeable grainy texture. It was weird at first, but then we got used to it. I still have some negatives that I wanted to share. First, bread was offered after our mains arrived, but it we were charged for it. This is very misleading because we paid for something that we thought was free. Second, I think there a slight price increase for credit cards. We noticed that our items were all priced slightly higher than their listed value because nothing ended in a neat number. We also never had water, but admittedly my friend and I could've spoke up about it. Despite my transparency complaints, my total experience was still positive. I loved the interior, vibes, and most importantly, the food. I hope more people are willing to give this establishment a chance, especially since they take reservations. Happy holidays!
Café Sakhli – My Go-To for Georgian Comfort Food I can’t get enough of Café Sakhli. Every visit feels like coming home. The cozy, inviting atmosphere and the friendly staff make it one of my favorite spots to relax and enjoy great food. The khachapuri is hands down my top pick—so cheesy and comforting, I’ve never had one better. Their khorovats (grilled meats) always hit the spot, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection every time. I also love trying their stews, which are rich and flavorful. And don't even get me started on the wine selection; their Georgian wines are some of the best I’ve had. What really makes Café Sakhli stand out is the consistently amazing service. The staff is always welcoming, and they genuinely make you feel like part of the family. Every time I visit, I leave feeling full, happy, and already looking forward to my next meal there. If you haven't been yet, trust me, you’re missing out!
