SF BK Brooklyn Reviews
Step aside, Shake Shack. Best burger and fries I’ve had since I moved to NYC. Best verde sauce I’ve EVER had. Love the light Santa Fe ambience. Super friendly staff. I’ll be back!
As a New Mexican living in NYC it is SO hard to find food that reminds me of home!! But everything I tried at Santa Fe BK was amazing. The enchiladas, smothered burrito, green chile cheeseburger, green chile stew and sopapillas were all absolutely excellent. I will be back, probably weekly LOL
A fresh Santa Fe burrito is the best breakfast burrito I’ve had so far in NYC, and I’ve had a good number of them. The crispiness of the tater tots contrasts beautifully with the soft perfectly scrambled eggs and the heat of the green hatch chiles. I started out as a bigger fan of the bacon option but I’ve now converted to sausage. You can’t go wrong with either one. The one mild con is that the burritos are made beforehand and sit under a heat lamp, so there is variability in how crispy those tater tots are by the time you get your burrito. Nevertheless, it is still an incredible burrito. They only serve the burritos until 3pm or so and there’s no seating (it’s just a counter you walk up to).
I wasn’t even gonna write a review this morning but the breakfast burrito was too good not to. We were picking up a quick breakfast to go and I had to sit down and savor the moment. The potato breakfast burrito completely blew me away, the cheese, rice and hatch chiles were so good. The sausage burrito was also great with subtle spice.
Santa Fe is truly the best. We order here regularly for dinner and the food is incredible and service is the best. The management is so kind, and when we were desperate for delivery but they were busy, they very kindly went out of their way to make an exception for us. Do NOT miss out on the queso, and we are huge fans of the enchiladas as well.
As a native New Mexican, I am always skeptical of any place on the east coast that claims to be authentic. However, SF BK is easily the closest thing to home I’ve found. In fact, calling it close to home undersells it, it IS home. The red sauce was perfect, the green sauce got the job done, and the sopapillas were the puffy pockets of heaven I remember. To be completely honest, if you put Monroe’s, Sadie’s, Los Cuates, Duran’s, and SF BK alongside each other, I would not be able to pick out which one was from NYC. Now I need to make another trip for the breakfast burritos!
My husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner before a Second City improv show. We didn’t have reservations, but there was room for us at the very friendly, comfy bar. We had great service which was fast (to ensure we got to the show on time) and the green pork enchilada served with delicious rice and perfectly seasoned beans was excellent. Just a bit spicy / loaded with flavor. We wish we lived in town so that we could eat here weekly! Thanks for feeding us so well!
WOW. Really really good breakfast burrito that commands a line on the weekends. However, it's totally worth it. Great combination of simple ingredients done right. The tortilla it's wrapped in provides great structure but is soft and pillowy. A very generous portion of eggs, not too much cheese, a ton of hash browns, and a green chile salsa to give that real tex-mex vibe. Very filling otherwise I would've had two on the spot. Will be back!
Quite literally the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. Way better than Ceremonia, super flavorful, perfect to grab from the counter and sit on the bench on a chilly morning. The coffee is great too! I moved away from here and haven’t been able to find any as good. The hatch chiles are perfectly sour and spicy. The potatoes are crispy hash browns rather than a typical burrito with chunks of potatoes. The eggs are nice and fluffy, and the tortilla wrapper is soft and pillowy. Literally 0 complaints. If you haven’t tried this, go now!! It’s a bit on the pricey side for a daily treat. I haven’t tried the indoor sit-down restaurant, but the pricing definitely scales up. This is a review ONLY for the take-out window burritos!
Literally one of the breakfast burritos I’ve had. I also got a dozen of their tortillas. I froze them and have been using them throughout the weeks. GREAT IDEA. I can’t wait to go back. Super good food and fresh ingredients!!! WORTH THE HYPE!! ( keep in mind they don’t have open seating during breakfast.)
We came here around 10pm for some food, we sat at the bar. They have a nice dining room and a beautiful patio area. The vibes were very unique, in a good way. We got the burger and it was really good, definitely recommend getting the queso fries. Definitely a good spot to hit if you’re looking for something different
Santa Fe themed Southwest Food with a Game of Thrones flair. Great food, specialty drinks, and good service. Plenty of Southwest art inside and nice outdoor area with more art outside. A great experience either way. And a sign labeled "Godswood" as you go to the outdoor area and several menu items with callbacks to the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. A fun little restaurant and a great dining experience.
Lovely little spot that operates differently depending on the time of day. Morning-3pm you can get very quick service from their door counter. Their Green Chile Breakfast burrito is great. Chiles are charred, eggs are perfectly cooked and the tater tots inside are still crispy! 5pm-evening they open up their indoor seating and I'm looking forward to coming back to try their burger.
I loved everything about this place. Lovely space with a chill, casual vibe, friendly team of waitstaff, and food that transported me to Santa Fe. It’s a small menu but well executed. I started with a bowl of guac and then had the pork adovada enchiladas with green sauce. I absolutely love the flavor of hatch chiles and this was the real deal. Super nice touch also that they bring out complimentary sopapillas for dessert. I will be back
I really like the concept of Santa Fe BK with its new mexico infused classics like the burger and mac and cheese, and its small but perfectly sized menu selection. We walked in and got full service bar seats on a busy day- I recommend this for groups of 2. The mac and cheese with hatch green chilis was delicious, if anyone has had the trader joes frozen green chili mac and cheese its like a grown up restaurant version of my freezer favorite. It had noodles that held the chili flavor and a crusty baked top. The salad was delicious and fun to eat with a fresh vinagrette. I highly recommend it with some of the heavier dishes. The service was good even at the bar, our waiter/bartender was fun. Its not the cheapest place but prices seem pretty reasonable
Had the enchiladas with picadillo, was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere good. Would be a nice place for a friends to come have a quiet meal. Had a weird experience with a server (tall skinny guy with bolo tie), asked if we could sit at a table and was immediately told no but when we asked the host she seemed confused and sat us at a table. Tall guy was on the border of being rude and weird.
We’ve been looking for good breakfast burritos in the area and came across Santa Fe BK. They have a couple options for breakfast burritos, we went with the potato one. The hashbrowns inside were crispy and delicious. The green chile was a great add as well for flavor. I wish there was a sauce we could dip it in, but overall it was a solid burrito. It tastes very similar to these amazing breakfast burritos we used to have in Denver called Santiago’s. We’ve been trying to find a place that closely replicates that and this has been the closest we’ve come
Absolutely delicious potato breakfast burrito. It’s so simple but perfect — creamy eggs, crispy tots, and a delicious tortilla. I’ve tried a lot of the hyped up breakfast burrito spots and this one is my favorite. Only thing that would make it better would be options to customize. edit: tried the sausage breakfast burrito — which is simple ground/crumbled sausage and it would be much more flavorful with something like chorizo. The crumbled sausage burrito can’t beat the classic potato egg burrito.
