The Coney Island Sandbar Brooklyn Reviews
Great place to eat and hang out with friends and family. Very clean. I came here with my entire family after my daughter’s graduation. Didn’t want anything too fancy just wanted to grab a quick bite to hold us over until dinner. We went on a friday during happy hour. I ordered buffalo wings and a pitcher of beer for the adults. All pitchers were $20 and wings were 6 for $6 they were AMAZING!!! The kids had chicken tenders and fries and my husband ordered the burger. What was supposed to be a quick bite to eat easily turned into us staying for over three hours. Very big space with AMAZING staff. They were so polite, helpful and knowledgeable. They even had board games like sorry, giant jenga, cornhole and uno cards. The bartenders were so cool and accommodating. We tried all of their watermelon drinks i liked the frozen watermelon margarita the best. I’ll definitely go back to try the honey garlic wings and the pastrami sandwich. I just wish they had more of a dessert selection. Only black and white cookies were available smh.
Pregame meal before cyclone game. Friday happy hour $1 wings, great food

Wings? Good. Beer? Good. This place? Good.
Hospitable. VERY low prices on wings and pitchers during happy hour and so delicious. Massive outdoor space. A no-brainer before or after a Cyclones game or any time.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews this place has gotten. This restaurant is pretty decent to get a quick bite to eat, even though their menu is a bit limited. I ordered the tavern burger, and it tasted good. The only critique would be that the fries were cooked a little too well done for my taste. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious for indoor and outdoor dining, and it can accommodate larger crowds. The prices are a bit high for food in comparison to other places in the area, but hey, it is Coney Island. The service here was good and the staff was friendly. They also sell t-shirts and hoodies if you want a souvenir. Overall, I was happy with my first experience, and I would come here again for a quick bite and drinks during the summer.

Coney Island Brewery was an amazing place to come. Unfortunately they closed their doors. To rescue is Coney Island Sandbar. I was very optimistic that the place taken up the mantle the brewery left behind would be a winner. Location: The location is Prime for a place off the boardwalk to have a good time and drinks. Service Staff is very Friendly and prompt Food and Beverage Starting with beverages it is nice they serve hard alcohol now. That is one advantage they have over the brewery, but the trade off is the limited beer options, especially craft beer. I ordered the five borough IPA. Not much they have for draft. Food I ordered the lobster roll. The roll was not palatable. It was served on a very soft non toasted bun. The lobster tasted weird as if it was imitation or substituted with crab. It was off. Atmosphere: No AC. Stated it was broken for a few days now. 5 patrons inside at 6pm on a Friday which should tell you everything you need to know from there. Entertainment None that was enjoyable. The brewery previously had many games, live music with a real band and stage. Stage is gone now and replaced with seats. The large corn hole and Jenga is gone. No more connect 4. Just a dark shell of what use to be Overall: I would not visit this place again due to limited beer options, questionable food, and lack of entertainment.

This review is about sustainability. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we sent to recycling does not actually get recycled, but rather end up in landfills, in incinerators, and in our waterways. It feels very sad to me to see a waterfront bar, like this, benefiting from its location next to the ocean in Coney Island, contribute so readily and mindlessly to the plastic pollution crisis our planet faces. I wonder how your bar could consider and switch to genuine reusable options for your customers. Either real glasses for people to use while sitting out on your lovely patio, or even real durable plastic cups that can get reused over and over. But this casual pollution feels really unacceptable in 2025, right along the beach. Hope your customers be better and more responsible consumers. Thanks for considering my feedback.

Tried to go. Claimed it was open til 10 on the website. Says it is open til 11 on Google. Showed up and it was closed at 8. If you are open like twice a week seems the least you could ask is for those hours to be vaguely accurate.
