The Westbury Inn Brooklyn Reviews
I've been going to westbury for years, and I love it!
Good energy up in the spot. Enjoyed my time having a drink, game of bones and darts.
Great place that has a back patio and in the patio area is a TV. Bush tall boys are only $4. I don't live in the neighborhood but if I did I can't imagine ever going anywhere else for one my favorite drinks (beer).
Just went here and it rocks. I moved to the neighborhood earlier this week and I’m so glad to have a great bar nearby. Next time I’ll get some food
I had a blast at this cozy Westbury Inn that turned out to be the perfect spot for a night out with friends. Not only did we catch the big game on massive screens, but they also had board games and a dartboard tucked into a corner. We challenged each other to darts between plays, and it became a fierce competition by the end! The drinks were fantastic—creative cocktails that packed a punch and the best local brews on tap. The whole place was buzzing with energy, and we spent hours laughing, cheering, and trying our hands at all the games. It was a night of friendly rivalry, great drinks, and unforgettable memories.
This place is great. We've gone here multiple times since moving to the area and gotten to know some great bartenders and people. The crowd that comes here is a down to earth, local crowd. We'll come in on a weekday usually to take advantage of their happy hour and watch some Jeopardy with everyone. Just an overall great feeling bar with good, cheap beer. Also check out their beer/shot combos.
Hands down my most favorite dive bar in Brooklyn. Always a great crowd no matter the size. Karaoke Tuesdays, Comedy Wednesday’s, And trivia Thursday’s just to name a few. Great happy hour $4 wells, $6 beer and shots. Can’t go wrong!
This place strikes right at the heart of its purpose like an arrow finding its mark. Affordable prices dance with warm laughter, and behind the bar stands a bartender as sharp as a blade and as charming as a well-told story. The atmosphere carries the calm rhythm of a sports bar that knows how to be easy, chill, and welcoming. Yet, there’s one moment of interruption that bright corner by the entrance. A sudden flash of light, almost theatrical, as if stepping from day into night through a glowing tunnel. If that brightness softened to match the cozy shadows of the room, the entire space would hum in perfect harmony. A place that doesn’t try too hard, because it doesn’t need to it already knows who it is.
It’s a solid dive bar. Great happy hour prices. Used to smell like dirty hot dog water in here, now it doesn’t. So that’s a huge improvement. Haven’t tried the food yet but I will. Looks good.
This is a go-to for a periodic dinner with a good friend. We (mostly) drink the same drinks and eat the same eats every visit because they're good. Vietnamese wings, fries (which are fresh cut to my taste), tequila. The service is very good. The vibe is you belong here. The décor is cozy. Several TVs make sports watching easy. The prices are easy enough. BONUS beer + shot menu; my fav is The Presidente featuring the eponymous beer and tequila TIP the bar participates in Jeopardy weeknights at 7 SHOUT OUT to Jeff Jean-Louis for making us welcome
I am a regular here. I specifically come for the KALE salad and good drinks. I am not sure what is going on but since when does the kale salad come with pickles, jalapeños, and tomatoes??? And it was not served filled to capacity in my Togo plate. I had also added fried chicken and it was OVERLY REFRIED and super salty. I've never had a BAD food experience at Westbury until NOW. There was no need to change the Kale salad recipe, portion serving amount, or the chef. Awful.
Order the chicken tender meal and fish and chip meal. First problem, I requested for the sweet potato fries to be substituted for regular potato fries as I am allergic to sweet potatoes. Second problem, the tenders were so burnt. Third problem, the amount of fries sent is for a toddler. So basically a $14 meal I can’t touch went down the drain. Fourth problem, the fish was so bland, had absolutely no taste 🤦🏽♀️
