I was impressed with this Popeyes. Inside was clean. Food was tasty. But more than anything was the amazing service we receive by Pattie! She was a delight, so helpful and friendly. She is the type of customer service you wish you had everywhere. She deserves big kudos!

I took the whole family to this Popeyes for my son's birthday meal. He wanted to taste the chicken sandwich that Daddy has always talked about! It's the infamous chicken sandwich. Whether it be original or spicy they are awesome! :-) and they have different sauces for other meals like their fried shrimp. Those sauces are out of this world. :-) I need not explain how clean the place is from the time you walk in the door to the time you go out. It is a place you would want to take your family for some great Louisiana cooking!!

The two staff members working Christmas Day did an amazing job, not only feeding us holiday travelers but also cranking out door dash orders. They deserve a hefty bonus for working so hard on the holiday.

Very unfortunate...I don't normally post bad experience. I understand..the difference between having a bad day and doing business the right way. Waited a very long time in the drive thru to order. Person was very nice and apologized for delay. While waiting ..a person later inditified as the manager was on his phone / smoking. Personally I understand quick breaks. Person at the Pickup window said training new people.. ok I get that. Small delay can work with. But this was excessively long. I suggested maybe person outside could help out. Oh he his the manager. So now was asked to pull up front and wait for order. So in doing so...I waved at the Mgr. Hey sir .your team is struggling with orders .might need some help He stared at me and mumbled something. Car next to me who was there already...said he been waiting long time as well. Then the Mgr came out and kinda rudely almost throwing me my bag of food. I mentioned..hey the guy. Next to me been waiting much longer .can we help him too Mgr.said..i don't know what he ordered very rudely and walked away. He didn't take the time to greet other guest, thank them for patiently waiting and offer to check on their food order. Unfortunately..this type of service is an example of why the rest of the team struggled. Manger's need to lead by example.

For 1, the floor was actually mopped and tables were clean..all of them🫢. The establishment didnt smell like overflowing grease in the lobby and the food was so hot it was almost like it was cooked to order.considering the rep. Popeyes gets over the last couple years..im generally impressed with how this store sets an example on satisfaction. Will be stopping here more on my business trips coming through town.

The 3 people working tried their hardest ( yes 3 people) and being the only restaurant open within a like 15 mile radius has them extremely busy. Even then I didn't have to high of expectations being they were understaffed, tired, overworked, and working on Christmas day. They blew my expectations with the chicken being fully cooked, juicy and flavorful, the breading reminded me of when I was little kid eating here. It was way above what I expected from an exhausted crew who probably needed to go home and be with their family. I hope this crew haves a merry good Christmas tonight and a happy new years. ( talking about the 1 star review posted recently on the day ( 12/25/2025 ) That person needs to calm down. It's Christmas and you wanted to dine in at a restaurant which had maybe 40 people in the building at the time you ordered. Realize you're not that important and that the 3 people COOKING FOR YOU are trying their best to cook for 40 OTHER PEOPLE while being understaffed. And yet they still made some amazing chicken.

Used online ordering. When I arrived I spoke to the lady at the counter about the strange online ordering experience, she got my name, found the order and fixed me right up! They were very busy, very professional, very fast to take care of us. Thank you!!

I came to eat at this Popeyes a few months ago, and at that time, I never would have considered eating here again. The AC was out, their soda machine was broken, they were incredibly short staffed, etc. Fast forward to today, I was really craving Popeyes, so I decided to give this place a second chance, and I am at a loss for words. This place has seen a complete turn-around—the atmosphere is very pleasing, the food was great, soda machines all operational, and best of all: The service was incredible. This new GM here is wonderful, and he’s doing an amazing job turning this restaurant into one of the best fast food joints in Brownwood. I’m so glad I took another chance on this Popeyes.

Hubby did an online order for pickup. He went to get it and it was not ready yet. The people working there, don’t seem to know what they are doing. We finally got our food. The only thing fresh was the wings.

Being in the military I'm usually a big fan, but this Popeyes was sad. The chicken was unusually small and the strips were tiny. We waited over five minutes just for our order to be taken. We were the only ones in line. The workers had a table on the floor taken with their papers, phones and personal belongings. One of them had a phone on the table that rang almost the entire time we were there. No idea why they wouldn't answer it. They certainly weren't waiting on customers.

Food was edible, but barely. Very old, for sure. We got served immediately, but it seemed like we were lucky to have that happen, as the only employee in the building was walking in at the same time we were. There are a dozen other fast food places in the area, and I bet at least 5 of them will serve better food.

10/10/25 330pm I was just given an ice cold chicken sandwich through the drive-thru window when there's no one in line and hardly anyone inside. I was so shocked about how cold it was, I asked the guy in the drive through to touch it, and he says "I'm not touching that" They're also not reading the tickets so you can get your correct items. They gave me a small mashed potato instead of a large. No apology no thank you no nothing. I really don't know how this place stays in business, there's always an issue every time I go.

The new staff was lost. Took 40 minutes to get an order together, and the order was simple: 5 tenders, 2 mashed potatoes, and a sandwich. The manager was trying but had to shut down the drive-thru just to catch up with the 5 or 6 customers waiting in the lobby. Sadly, the orders weren't big, just needed more effective staff. I love Popeyes, but they let me down this time while traveling.

The last two times I have been here I had to wait atleast 20 min for my food. When I received my food I took it home opened it up. The biscuit was as hard as a rock. The tenders were also as hard as a rock. Didn’t get my mashed potatoes and gravy my wings were orange and pink in the middle. I threw away 40 dollars. Popeyes in brownwood is the worst place to eat. Someone needs to come and take over this awful place!

There appears to be only 1 worker and he's in the back… Waiting here 15 minutes. UPDATE: Also there’s alot of ants on the tables (pic#2) and the store is a total mess with flies everywhere

No line in the drive through, 1 car parked in the parking lot, dude inside asked me to wait. I said ok thinking a couple of minutes, 3 cars pull in behind me, 15 mins passes with no word from person in side. Cars behind me reverse and leave, waited a little longer for him to come back and still nothing. Absolutely terrible curb side manners and service. Really wanted fried chicken. Sitting across the street at Freddy’s instead. Had my order taken in less than 5 minutes over here. How y’all stay in business?

Awful experience... ordered through drive through. A combo and 2 wraps ans waited 20 minutes... no one was here and I had to move up then I had to move to the front...there was employee clothes inside on the tables and a bike in the walk way... that's not sanitary...i don't understand... especially if no one was inside why did my order take that long... yeah now I know and see why people complain...management needs to be re evaluated...

One of the worst Popeyes ever. It took more than 40mins to take my order and another 45minutes to make my order. The staff was only focused on Doordash orders. Super disappointed in the staff for being so incompetent in handling orders. My kids got so tired of waiting that they slept empty stomach. It was very evident that they were prioritizing and giving special treatment (quick service) to local or known people. CLOSE THIS STORE

I travel to Brownwood fairly regularly for work. Have stopped here a few times and always seem super disorganized. Always walk in and doesn’t seem very busy but several parties sitting around waiting on their food. Place seems not clean and every time go in, whomever working avoids eye contact and takes forever to acknowledge you’re even there. Almost missed the place this last time as seems there lights on sign all burned out and need replaced. Thought I’d give it one more chance tonight and when walked in and the guy at counter looked away as I walked in and I saw a guy honking at the drive though trying to get someone’s attattention and multiple irritated parties of people who looked like they were waiting on . That was it, not going back there again. Ended up at Subway next door, which isn’t my favorite, but the place cheerful, employees super friendly and attentive (and efficient) The place was spotless, well lit and even had some music playing

I stopped by Pop Eyes on Christmas Eve and ordered a two piece with fries and drink. I was rushed for time so I ordered it to go. The two people working apparently never taught the importance of customer service and were rude, not the welcoming that I would expect. while waiting for my food, I looked at my ticket and noticed the wrong items on the ticket. I brought the items to the attention of the man working there and he told me he was very busy and knew what I ordered. There were cars in the drive thru and only one other customer inside. After waiting over 20 minutes for my order, I had to leave, I wrote a quick note on my receipt stating "I know your busy, sorry but I have to leave, put my name on it as well as my phone number, then left not getting the food I had paid for. I understand the crew working was obviously short staffed and busy,. its not the lose of the $10.88 I had paid for food never received but I at least expected a phone call from the restaurant to rectify the issue, but no call was received. Apparently being a customer is not important enough to receive that courtesy or basic customer service. That may explain why I rarely see customers there. I now have no intentions of returning to the establishment nor can I recommend it to others.

This has got to be the worst popeyes in the state. I have been here atleast once a week for my lunch break, for the last 8 FREAKING WEEKS, because I want some spicy tenders and mashed potatoes with no gravy. I don’t live anywhere near another store. First time - I actually got to order, but instead of tenders they gave me a 3piece bone meal. GROSS. The next visits proceeded to not even being able to place a dang order. SEVEN times I have tried to eat here for lunch and have NOT even been able to speak with someone to place an order. Twice I was told they were too busy and backed up, they wouldn’t take my order. Now as I sit here trapped in the drive through line, this makes 4 times that I haven’t heard a SOUND from a single employee. My entire 30 minute break and I’m stuck. This is atrocious. I have spoken into the speaker multiple times with no response, and have called the store phone multiple times as well with no answer. Something needs to be done, this is insane. Why am I having to go through so much for some damn tenders 😤

Do NOT recommend The drive Thur display is out. I had to wait 25 min to get my order. Then the order was wrong. I tried the food and it was so bad I had to trash it. Chicken was awful. The red beans and rice had about 10 beans in it and was cold. I stopped here cause I love Popeyes this place is just bad
