I have been going there since 1987 I've never had a bad mean The service is good and the food had a combination for fajitas shimp,chicken,and stake but flavor u could have.

Large outdoor yard, good service, best tortilla soup, very good fajitas,all other dishes were very tasty. Pleasant friendly atmosphere.

Nicest wait staff there is..attentive in every way ..food is spectacular..love the shrimp fajitas ..give chips and bean dip /pico de gallo/when we arrived to stave off our hunger ..food comes to table piping hot!!... indoor garden parking for off street and safety... .easy to get into restaurant from back garden parking..also a small children's swing set to accommodate the kids..

What a great meal. Can’t say enough good. Probably the best meal I’ve had on my trip to bucerias ! I had the grilled flank steak. So tender you could eat it without teeth. All of our meals were perfect. Service and atmosphere were great. Will be back! And would recommend to anyone !

Our family of 4 adults has a wonderful dinner at the Famar. Everything was very tasty. The coconut shrimp was delicious. The service was gracious and atmosphere calm. Next time we're in Bucerias it will definitely be a revisit.

It may not be down on the beach, and maybe a short walk from where you're staying, but restaurant bar femar is well worth the visit. They're outdoor. Covered patio is a great space, to compliment their outstanding and generous margaritas and lovely food.

We made a dinner reservation for Four last night. Got in no problem. Glad we did, it was hopping busy!! Lots of big tables of 12, 14 & 18 people! Plus the smaller ones of 4 & 6. Despite what looked like a small wait staff & small kitchen staff, you could see them Cooking away from your table, they did an amazing job!! Our fajitas were great as well as their margaritas!! The servers had smiles & were very nice to you even though Soo busy!! Even called us a taxi & let us sit while waiting for it. Thank you for a fun time & delicious dinner!!

We were so excited that the resturant opened up before our holiday was over. The memories were important, but the food, margaritas and great service were just as great as we remembered. A wonderful way to end a long awaited holiday. Worth checking out.

Great little find. A quiet rest spot and a busy place of town. Don't be fooled by the small front opening walk on in to the large covered outdoor patio.

Este lugar es muy rico, el menú es básicamente camarones, pescado y comida mexicana con la sazón deliciosa y agradecemos a Petra nuestra mesera por adecuar su menú tan amablemente para nuestras vegetarianas. Me sorprendió gratamente que el lugar mantiene un silencio y un ambiente muy agradable a pesar de tener una guacamaya de mascota por cierto muy bonita. Cuenta con un lugarsito para que los niños jueguen y creeme que disfrutaras mucho este Restaurante en familia.

My husband and I split the hamburger. It was very good and came with fresh veggies, fries and onion rings (yum). We were here for a quick bite while our car was being worked on. It is a lovely oasis, shaded and with ceiling fans, it was a great way to kill time. The waitress was very pleasant. We ordered margaritas and she brought extra tequila “just in case”. We had totopos with fresh pico and frijoles. So tasty. Hope we don’t have more car trouble, but if we do this is a great place to wait it out!

This place was recommended by a friend for having great breakfast and it did not disappoint. My girl and I ordered some chilaquiles and we were stunned about the portion sizes due to the cheap prices. I highly recommend visiting and the staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Impressive oasis right off the main highway with a little playground and parking lot in the back. Service was excellent and responsive. The food came quickly and free chips, salsa and a bean sauce was perfect!! We ordered the grande tortilla soup which had big chunks of avocado. This was superb and highly recommended. We also ordered the chili relleno which was very good but slightly bland. The horchata was super creamy and not too sweet!! We were a bit tired from walking to Chedarai so this was just great!! We loved it and will be back!! Highly recommended but cash only and they close at 4 pm, so perfect for breakfast and lunch.

A big shout out to a family run restaurant that is so very good and deserving of kudos: Famar. Quiet courtyard atmosphere that spans a full block and lets you enjoy your meal out of the typically noisy local neighbourhood. Has a small children’s playground, which is rare. Wonderful service with a good grasp of English. Wonderful margaritas with free pour of Don Julio reposado over top. Happy hour too. Complimentary homemade fresh salsa and nacho chips with bean dip, always good, and the very best shrimp salad!!! Great for groups too.

Always a go-to when we are in Bucerias. Only negative is they close during summer:( but that expected especially when the tourist season slows down. We were fortunate to visit the second to last day they were open. My favourite is their Fajita Famar! Great food, drink and service!

Wow. Driving by you would think this is one that you'd just pass on by. Don't! Exceptional food, service and value. There were four of us and we each had something different. Everything we had was really good. Definitely be a return visit (or should I say visits)? If I lived here, I'd be there all the time!

Great! Just had dinner there for the first time, delicious! Had the shrimp fajitas and it was filling and perfectly done. Friendly staff, our waitress spoke English which isn’t a necessity but was nice and the menu had English translation too ( also not necessary but nice) I had a lemonade to drink which came with at least one complimentary refill, nice atmosphere, lots of tables, clean washrooms👍 had free tortilla chips with a couple salsas and a bean dip as appetizer to wait for food and not a long wait anyway . I’ve seen it gets busy but it wasn’t when we were there. No complaints, highly recommended 👍👍

Farmar would have received a 5 Star review had it not been for the high volume at which the two entertainers performed. Dinner is a social event and not a rock concert. The entertainment was very good, but no need to be at an ear-splitting level. The food was delicious, the service

don’t bother with the vegetable soup… i know i’m a bit of a freak for ordering it anyway but it was literally roughly chopped veggies in water. HOWEVER my husband loved the octopus. so i would recommend giving this place a try

We quite enjoyed this back patio restaurant, open air, service was excellent. Portions are good for value and came with good accompaniments, rice, baked potatoes, vegetables, garlic toast and an orange. Shrimp was well spiced with garlic. BBQ ribs very tasty not over sauced, came off the bone soft. We would recommend as a home cooked meal.

Have been going to this restaurant for years but we were sadly disappointed on our first visit this year! The ambiance is no longer there due to the extremely loud and unnecessary music! Cannot carry on a conversation without having to shout! We did not enjoy our meal and will not return!

A mixed bag here. Good frozen margs, and decent service. The fajitas mixta res y Cameron were excellent food quality, as were the enchiladas. However, this restaurant seems to cater to Canadians, so they have completely forgotten or avoided having real mexican flavor in their food. I would return in the non Canadian season and give it another try, but next time I will ask the staff to add some flavor to the excellent food quality and preparation.

My husband and I went for dinner. The complimentary chips, bean dip and salsa were very tasty. We both ordered the chicken enchiladas. We were both disappointed. There was a slice of cheese melted over the top. The tortillas were very soft (mushy) and we ended up eating the filling and leaving most of the tortilla behind. The salad had no dressing. We would have asked for some, but no staff came near our table once the food was served. We have eaten here a few times over the years and really enjoyed the fajitas. Maybe we just chose the wrong menu item this time, but not sure if we will return.
