Venice Beach Buena Park Reviews
Had marinated crab meal combo and add marinated shrimp additionally. Food was very good. Kind people and nice atmosphere. Not that salty but very tasty like rice thief. Most of all, price was really reasonable. They also gave me free mochi donut for dessert. Will visit again very soon.
I visited this restaurant around 4 PM when it was pretty quiet, and once again, it didn’t disappoint! This is my go-to spot for Korean-style sashimi (hwe) and seafood! The seafood was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the side dishes were amazing! Everything was well-prepared and delicious. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and perfect for larger groups. The high ceilings add an open and airy vibe, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal. There's plenty of parking available in the building. The staff were friendly and nice, but the service could use some improvement. Even though it wasn’t busy, we had to flag someone down a few times since they didn’t check on us often. Overall, the amazing food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere make it worth a visit.
Found this new spot walking around in the source mall. The lunch special at $19.99 is affordable for a delightful dining experience. I ordered sashimi rice bowl. It was exceptionally fresh but I was expecting more fresh veggies My server only stopped by once. I give this place 5 stars. I will try another shot next time
I had my first visit here for a company gathering. The atmosphere felt quite ordinary, but a wide variety of dishes were offered. The servers were very friendly, and the chef even came out to personally explain the dishes, which made it feel like a special experience. The prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious.
The food here is amazing!!! The quality is incomparable to other sushi restaurants around the area. The freshness is guaranteed and you can see and taste it. They have a variety of seafood options, from sashimi to octopus to sea urchin to sweet shrimp. Their side dishes were also so good!! I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for something to eat at the source in Buena Park!
I came to visit this store for lunch on July 16, I ordered cold abalone noodles and the food ingredients were very fresh and delicious. There were not only so many fancy menus for drinking at dinner time, but also special menu at lunch I'll defenetly come back with my coworker for party. Most of all, the chefs were kind and the atmosphere of the store was clean👍👍
Venice Beach is a hidden gem for Korean food! It’s known for seafood and live seafood but the Korean food here is incredibly delicious too. They have happy hour specials for food too which offers great price for dishes like grilled eel. (Save around $5 each) Perfect spot for a casual meal in the Source OC. The abalone porridge is very comfortable to have at dinner. It’s very close to the stair from parking lot.
This Japanese restaurant offers delicious sashimi at a reasonable price. It is relatively lower compared to other restaurants.

Staff was very nice. Food was delicious and affordable for what it is. Came here because I really wanted to experience marinated soy crabs. It was good. Bon chan was really good
I regret not taking pictures... The food was very delicious and the side dishes were plentiful. The staff was very friendly and I was very grateful for the service. If you look at the reviews here, there are people who are dissatisfied with the service provided by the staff, but when I went, all the staff were very friendly and the place was very comfortable. The seating arrangement was well designed so that no one felt uncomfortable. Thanks!☺️
The food was so good and the service was amazing! My family ordered the assorted sashimi course, salmon sashimi, and tuna nigiri. We highly recommend!

Stopped by after a movie at CGV and had a decent experience. The staff was quick and efficient, seating us right away, which was a great start. The raw crab was just okay—a bit on the smaller side. My husband enjoyed his mixed sashimi rice bowl, which had a nice variety of fresh fish. However, the banchan (side dishes) were overly salty, which was a bit disappointing. One big plus was that they offered lunch special pricing for dinner, which made the meal a better value. Overall, the service was great, but the food could use some improvements. Would consider coming back, but hoping for better balance in flavors next time!

Always passed by and wanted to try it out because of the seafood selection. One of the servers was super nice but our main waitress seemed like she wasn’t interested in talking to us (아줌마). The kimchi wasn’t good and I asked for the Uni bowl. Waitress stated they were out of Uni. I got something else and 15 mins later she wheeled out an order of Uni to another customer. Octopus was fresh and so was the crab!

This restaurant is a solid three *. The food is good and comes with bunch of sides in our $139 sashimi combo for 2. Staff could be more proactive in explaining menu to guests. Saw 1 table that left after they sat down and another that struggled as well, but they stayed. Menu was not clear on what is available during lunch. Overall clean, but I saw the guy who works at the bar that did not wash his hands after flushing the toilet and coming out of a stall in the bathroom.

I personally don't recommend this place. First the atmosphere was dead. Barely anyone in the restaurant and has always been whenever I passed by, now I know why. The service we got was barely there. I had to ask about the menu and ask what they recommend. The waitress didn't even seem informed about the menu and wasnt ecstatic to talk to us. The waiters need to do a better job on being more attentive. I felt like I was waiting for someone to come by and yes, I did use their iPad system.I was sat in a corner. The area was dusty (see photo). It's the small details that I noticed the most. For the amount of food and quality of food you get, prices was not good. The amount of food was small. I had to wait a while for my steam egg and doen jigae which Does not take that long to make. My mom was craving crab but The dish she order only had one marinated crab. The marinated crab was a bit bitter. I didn't really enjoy it. For $32, It's not priced accordingly. The soup it was not good either. The only thing that was good was the potato banchan and steam egg. I've had better ones before. I didn't even eat my whole meal. I left feeling annoyed and walked to go to another restaurant. I did pay the bill, but I really wish I got my money back. I don't recommend this place and I will not be coming back.
Well i want to update the 2nd review following 2nd trip. My 1st trip, server was Sin K, the name on the receipt. She was fantastic. So the experience was wonderful. I went on a 2nd trip to showed my out of town friends this place during christmas/ new year break, our server was Jenny J. She was simi horrible. 3 ppl sitting and she brought only 2 cups. My friend asked about the special writing outside the shop, it was in Korean so we cannot read. Why not write in English? Anyway, Jenny just pointed to the menu. We ordered crab meal and other things. She didn't give us any gloves and we were more annoyed seeing her set up the table across from us with complete setup and gloves. Toward the end, i was waiting for my card, i noticed the table that was seated after us got their bill early. Well, turned out, she gave my bill to them!! She need to focus more and serve every customer equally. We felt discrimated by her. Below review is with our 1st server Sin K. Delicious Wonderful Friendly Everything was awesome! Plenty of side dishes to fill us up. Decent prices and portions. Tofu soup was spicy flavor. Will come again to try more items.

Worst experience period. No passion to serve or feed.No value for the money.Worst hot soup ever. Not recommended. Ruined my meal is enough stop doing to others.
I had worst experience here They brought food with broken plate I found out when I almost finished my lunch They never say sorry or anything It was also very sharp and dangerous I will never never come here again
I ordered a fish stew, but the fish wasn’t even properly cleaned — there were still scales, so I couldn’t eat it. It felt like they just used leftover fish tails from sashimi, with barely any vegetables and mostly broth. Paying $50 for this was a complete waste of money.
I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. During my visit, I was served side dishes that were not just unappetizing—they were spoiled. Every single side dish had a terrible smell, reminiscent of rotten towels, and clearly looked old. When I brought this to the attention of a server, they tasted the dishes and confirmed my concerns. Unfortunately, I was informed that the owner was out of town and the manager was unavailable to address the situation. I felt it was necessary to cancel my entire order immediately. I've never encountered spoiled food in a restaurant in the U.S. before, especially not in a place serving sushi and sashimi. I strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant if you value your health. This experience was shocking and unacceptable, and I cannot recommend it.

I was excited to eat at Venice Beach because I love seafood and it was my grandpa’s birthday. However, the food was not fresh at all, nor did it taste good. It did not satisfy and rather ruined my afternoon. I thought that it’d be good with the small amount of good reviews and was excited because it was new. Highly don’t recommend and hopefully gets better. The employees were nice and the atmosphere was too though. Wish luck on the improvements that needs to be made.
