Daily Grill Burbank Reviews
Very clean comfortable place with great food. Whether you're sitting at the bar or at your table you're well taken care of.
Went here once for dinner and three times for breakfast. The food was delicious - the steak and eggs in particular were better than expected. Waitstaff were pleasant and helpful, if stretched a bit thin. There was something for all of the represented food restrictions (vegetarian, no bread, etc.) and everyone left full. Terrifically convenient when staying at the Burbank Airport Marriott.
EXCELLENT FOOD!!! We were looking for a nice place to have breakfast,...& "BOY" DID WE FIND IT!!! Fluffy LIGHT eggs cooked into a spectacularly tasting omelet, just the right amount of perfectly cooked potatoes, crispy on the outside & soft on the inside,...along with coffee & FRESH cream, water, as well as orange juice. Beautifully cleaned (5 star) & lovely decorated. Such a pleasant surprise!! I recommend the Daily Grill to everyone. Directly across the Burbank Airport, & may I say, the service is STELLAR! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Great, very friendly service. Very nice atmosphere with a beautifully crafted wood theme. Every interaction with the staff was a positive one. Getting in late, I only ordered a quick and in-expensive plate of pasta. But I must say, this was some of the best pasta I've had for the price, and one plate is definately plenty for two.
Outstanding service and food. The host and waiters could not have been more warm and attentive. We had the Crispy Calamari, Spinach Dip, Clam Chowder, the Fish and Chips, and the Cheeseburger. Would recommend any of these dishes. Can't wait to come back and try more
Manager Mark, servers Nicole & Shante are amazing at what they do. I was here for a couple of nights on business and had dinner here. Great service & food! I highly recommend the spinach dip.
What a welcoming and friendly staff at this Daily Grill! The hostesses were wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful and cheerful. Charles, our server was also outstanding! I had a fresh salad and added some grilled salmon, and it was delicious! I will definitely add this restaurant to my "go-to" list!!!!
Was there 1/20/25 MLK Jr holiday. Called and was told e.d.b. was closing early due to high winds so I went to their indoor eatery. Was lucky to snag the last bar seat as it was packed from what I thought was a college football final game, but the crowds kept coming in. The two bartenders did an amazing job getting to constant entourage of people. Kudos guys! Way to hustle!
Great to order in person and take it to your room. They are very accommodating for this type of transaction- the only thing that was a little off was I purchased the breakfast option with my room but was told when I brought my breakfast coupon there that the healthy breakfast options were not included…. So that was a bummer- if they would switch that thinking, it would make for a better review. So open up your pre-purchase healthy breakfast options and do better for the greater food!
This is a really great restaurant. The food is well prepared and the menu is interesting. The extra cost is with it. I had the protein plate for brunch, today, and the tomato slices were perfect. Ripe but still firm and just the right thickness. The bacon was perfect, too. I enjoyed it!
Brian our outstanding waiter calmed us down as we were very stressed from a very delicate situation. He brought us tea and a soda and then we ordered the sliders. We also asked him a lot of questions about the parking ticket we needed validated and he assured us we could ask the lady at the reception of the Cafe for a stamp to put on the back of our ticket. He even asked if we had any birthdays and actually my mom and I both had our birthdays this week. Mom turned 90 and I was about to be 66. We were delighted he brought us key lime pie. We enjoyed the mini burgers and seeing the Dodgers winning 5-1 as we left. They had TVs all over and the bar nearby looked fully stocked. He was such a sweet young man and by the time we finished our meal we had calmed down a lot and felt so much better. We successfully got our stamp and got out of the parking lot for free. They have a 2 free hours stamp for anyone in the lot. All in all it was a great meal, and we go to Burbank Airport often when we fly out to Las Vegas and other places, so we will be back again. Our favorite part about our visit was our adorable kind waiter..made our night!!!
I had a great experience at The Daily Grill! Stopped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The bartender was super friendly, and the service was impressively fast. The wings were excellent—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The beer selection was solid, and both the food and drinks were very reasonably priced. Hotel restaurants are usually on the expensive side, but this place is a hidden gem. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
I've had breakfast and lunch here. Both were really great! Cobb omelette for breakfast was really unexpected and delicious! I recommend it. I also had the Cobb salad for lunch (there's a theme here!) and that was also great. Service is also on point, all the staff I came in contact with were very professional and helpful. If you're staying in the Marriott hotel, it's a great on-site restaurant. Honestly though, I might even stop back in if I'm not staying in the hotel! I really enjoyed it and would return again.
My husband and I took our nephew out for Christmas dinner and let him pick the place. What a great choice he made. It had been several years since we had gone here and it was such a pleasant surprise. We were seated right away and our server Rick was prompt and attentive. Had our drink orders delivered to us within minutes. Took our orders right away and his suggestions were spot on. I had the ribeye steak rare with mashed potatoes and green beans, my husband had the jumbo blackened shrimp with brown rice and our nephew had the Chicken piccata with Angel hair pasta and green beans. Everything was perfect, we really enjoyed our meals, in fact cleaned all our plates the food was so good. Then onto dessert. I had the cheesecake with strawberries and cream, and my nephew had the carrot cake. The best carrot cake we've ever had. The place is pricey but I will say well worth it for what you get and the service you receive. Five stars from all of us!
Waiting on our ride from the airport, so a quick 8 min walk landed us here. Wow! Quick and friendly service. Amazing food!
The Daily Grill is a wonder oasis at the end of my travels. The service is ALWAYS exceptional as is the food. The chicken pot was was large ($22) and flavorful. The crust was flaky and tasty, it really tasted like a home made dough for the crust. The veggies and chicken were plentiful and cut to appropriate size. The desert menu is limited, but the carrot cake was delicious with a creamy buttercream frosting. Enjoy the meal with the free mini loaf of bread and a couple beers. Yep, this makes passing through Burbank even better!
Place is good. I mean I happy. All good. Check the pictures. Lil bit pricy, but because of margarita))
Ordered the hamburger & fries. I ate every last bite, which is twice the amount I normally eat. That's how great it was. A bit pricey at $21 with the bacon, but my server Rick made it worth it. Very positive vibe, made me feel at home.
Had a flavorful Cobb salad here. Friendly? attentive wait staff. My only complaint was that there were lumps of bacon in the Cobb salad that could break a tooth!
Conveniently located by Hollywood Burbank airport by the Marriott hotel Respectable menu selections with good friendly service Full bar
Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Excellent service.

Nice service from “U!” Very attentive and polite! Suggestions were helpful! Happy was thinly put together. I believe more people would be in the place if the happy hour menu had more and better music! But “U” was GREAT!
Service was great! Very clean. Food was good, we both has steak and eggs. Asked for medium rare both of our steaks were basically well but the flavor was still ok. Also had the mimosa for the table, it was a bottle of champagne and a small glass bottle of your choice of juice. Very close to the airport. We needed a stretch after our flight and it was walking distance from Burbank airport
My colleague & I were waiting for our flight at Burbank so pulled in for a couple hours of respite. We sat at the bar. Was not overly busy. This was late afternoon (happy hour). We had a couple of appetizers and a drink each. The food and beverage were all solid. Parking was free on site. Pricing was fair.
We had the angel hair pasta with shrimp, Reuben with sweet potato fries and the chicken pot pie. Everything was very good. Richard our server was outstanding. We have been coming for years and are seldom disappointed
If the host had been nice, the place may have gotten a 5 stars all around. I mean something as simple as "how is your day going?" could have fixed the bad attitude I felt I was greeted with. I honestly felt that it was because of the color of my skin or my broken English (I have an invisible disability) I saw her greet others with big smiles and try to establish conversations with them. Either way, I wasn't going to let that ruin the fact that I wanted to explore their menu and atmosphere so I had their Fish & chips which didn't disappoint and the best part of my night was the Carrot cake omg, I'll ignore her just to get a pc of that cake again. Lol, Anywhom, moving on. The waiter and his trainee were very professional and were very attentive to me. Prices are pretty average given the fact that it is A Restaurant within walking distance of a Hotel and so close to the airport.
The location has good vibes with a nice bar. Sitting outside is nice especially with the awesome Cali weather. The food was not mind blowing but it wasn’t terrible either. The chicken in my salad did not feel/taste very fresh, you could tell it was frozen and reheated. The cauliflower appetizer had good flavor but it felt a bit heavier/Unhealthier than I expected. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I would come back for another try.
Located inside the Marriott hotel across from the airport is very convenient. This no frills grill is spacious with a nice sized bar and a few TVs. I ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger with fries and the portions were very generous. The burger was medium just as I ordered and the fries were hand cut and crispy. I would definitely recommend (the burger was bud enough for two people to share). The service was very friendly too and the grill was very clean.

Ate twice we were staying at the marriott. The first day we went in mid afternoon there were maybe two tables. They made us wait 15 minutes even though I told them that we were in a little bit of a time crunch. Not great customer service. Turns out they were waiting for another server. Even though they only had two tables and a server available and three of them standing at the hostess station chatting and having a great time. They could have at least seated us gotten us water and a menu. We ate breakfast the next morning service was much better
Got a Caesar salad for lunch. Was pretty basic and bland. $33 for a salad and mineral water is wild.
Food is just ok but definitely not worth the price! Guess they think they have a captive audience because of the hotel so get away with it. Service is bad. Left one person at our table with no food for over 10 minutes. There was only one gentleman wearing all black that was friendly and helpful. No one else even smiled
Yowch.... This recent visit was a real let down compared to days gone by. It might have come down to being understaffed though. I watched my bartender/waitress quit in front of us all at the bar as she just felt so overwhelmed. Food took over an hour to be served. I hope they can restructure and climb back up.
I use to love this place. Now, it is a shadow of itself. With the exception of their Chicken Pot Pie, the food our party had was tepid, under done and took a long time to come to the table. The restaurant was not busy, but the service was slow. Maybe someone else enjoys this place. But it was not our group. Also, very expensive.
Fair at best. Must have been an off day. The place was maybe 25% full, but wait staff were nowhere to be seen. Would disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time. Food was meh. Sad because I remember when the DG on La Cienega first opened - great service (actors!), and great quality food.
I would say the sides (Risotta and Grilled Asparagus) were good as well as the carrot cake. I don’t know if the Ribeye kept cooking in room service container but it was ordered Medium Rare and tasted like it was microwaved. If you see the pic it is clearly well done. They must know it overcooks as they provided A1 sauce with it instead of Garlic Butter as described on menu. I never eat A1 with a steak but this one needed it. For around $95 room service before tip I would suggest not ordering the Ribeye to your room.

We go there from time to time, usually for the world famous pot pie and maybe a few other things. We went there on Thanksgiving this year, we'd looked at the web page that showed a pretty respectable looking plate of turkey, so we decided to give it a try. They were offering regular menu, but were out of a few items, the Thanksgiving dinner was being served on a buffet. It was pretty sad, to be honest. Dried out turkey loaf and ham, stuffing the consistency of paste tasting like it had mouthwash mixed into it. A basic salad bar was on another table, baby mixed greens and two kinds of dressing. The greens were soggy and had black decaying leaves throughout. Two people in our party ordered that, we all gave it a try out of curiosity. I had short rib with risotto. One other person had chicken pot pie. Chicken pot pie was predicticably good, my short rib was good but the risotto was the consistency of mashed potatoes. No discernable grains of rice. I get that it's Thanksgiving, I'm in the industry and I've toiled away working on Thanksgiving way more days than I want to remember. But it's also a special occasion for a lot of people, and they should put in some effort to make the signature meal worth coming in for. My girlfriend is a regular there, she knew the server so her favorite drink was ready when we walked in. The rest of us had to ask for our drinks three or four times each time we wanted them to be refilled. Orders were taken incorrectly, things were forgotten. The waiter was out to lunch.

Food was lacking in quality and taste. Atmosphere is very dated. Looks like designing women from the 80s did the interior. We sat at the bar for breakfast and had to listen to extremely loud and noisy refrigeration machinery coming from behind the bar. Saving grace was the service was very good.
Came to Son of Monsterpalooza at The Marriott in Burbank & took some time to get some lunch from Daily Grill. The wait was a 35 minute wait, which is understandable due to the convention & people traveling to & from the airport. When I had placed my order with the waitress, I had ordered a Medium Rare BBQ Burger with sweet potato fries & my friend ordered a Turkey Club with fries & a side Caesar Salad. When the waitress brought our order, she had brought my burger with regular fries instead sweet potato fries. I had to check my burger to see if my burger was cooked to Medium Rare but found it well done. I had to send my plate back so they can fix my order correctly. My friend had noticed that her sandwich was a chicken sandwich, not a Turkey Club. The staff has been running around like chickens without their heads. Had to speak to the general manager about the poor service that we received. Perry, the General Manager, was a great manager to speak to & did everything to rectify the situation that was caused by the kitchen. If I do come back to The Daily Grill, I'll make sure Perry is here to oversee my order next time.
4 star restaurant according to reviews but we didn't have the same experience. Stayed during the week and dropped in for dinner. Wife ordered a salad and they got the order wrong. I ordered a blackened shrimp over rice plate that was tasty, except the rice was not fully cooked and was still crunchy. I was comped a cocktail that was also not made with all of it ingredients. I felt that the meal should have been taken off the bill but I didn't have the energy to fight it. We came back for breakfast and it was a better experience, food was ok. We are going to Denny's instead today. It's across the street and know what to expect from them. Over all I don't recommend, unless you want convenient, mediocre and over priced food.
I’m sorry to the chefs, because the food was great. However, there is no excuse for: - Dirty cups with lipstick and coffee stains - Stains all over the high chair - Tiny pieces of hair in the food (specifically, on the tomatoes in the club sandwich) I wish I took pictures of the cups, but we wiped them off as soon as we got them out of shock. We expect longer wait times because of the quality, so please take your time and wash your cups.
Took forever. Didn't tell me when my food was ready and let it sit and get cold. And they didn't get my order right according to their own menu. Where is the asparagus. Not worth the money.

We just had lunch today and all of our food was cold. Clam chowder soup was warm, meatloaf seems that they kind of just reheated , mashed potatoes cold, the burguers were warm and the only dish that was semi hot was the pasta w shrimps. Overall we were served cold food, even my coffee was warm. It’s so sad that their service has changed from excellent food to this.. so if you don’t mi seating cold food this is your place otherwise find somewhere else to go.
If you like food with absolutely NO seasoning on it THIS is the place for you. I've gone multiple times and EVERY single time the food was unseasoned.😩 If you like your food seasoned you should go somewhere else. If you're committed to going & you like seasoning ASK them to season it.
