My wife and I were headed to a different restaurant, when we walked past Don Cuco's after parking our car. The smell of the food coming from this restaurant pulled me in to check out the menu. We ended up eating here, and now have a new favorite Mexican restaurant.

I took my wife and her family here tonight to celebrate the new year. I first called to make sure they were open and if they take reservations. You can only make reservation 2 hours prior to your desired time so keep that in mind. There are different parking structure you can park in around the restrauant but I like to park at the Police Station that has public parking. When we arrived to the restrauant, I checked in with the host and she seated us in a booth next to the bar. I asked to change to a table because for 6 people, it wasn't comfortable. Our waiter came and give us the chips & salsa which I thought was great. The chips wasn't too hard and the flavor was fine, along with the delicious salsa. For our entrée, I got the Carne asada with fries and chilies relleno. They don't give a lot of carne, just 1 medium size piece and some rice. The carne asada was alright to me but wasn't my favorite out of all the restrauants. But the fries was my favorite part of my meal, it was well season and had good flavor. My wife got the Mole Enchiladas and her mom got the chesse Enchiladas. Her brother got the Fajitas and her dad got the Chile Colorado. Everyone loved their food and the customer service we received here was amazing. The waiters were attentive to our table and kept refilling our drinks. We did wait a while for the food to come out but it's because they wanted to bring out all the food together.

Okay so I planned a trip to LA and stayed in Burbank. I didn’t get to visit all the restaurants and lounges I wanted but this is just a basic review of what I experienced. The best most accepting environment has to be Don Cuco restaurant (especially in Burbank). I had heard about them from an ex then a podcast. I kept hearing rave reviews about them, so why not check them out! The atmosphere is intimate and inviting. The staff is friendly, accepting and most importantly kind. I wish that they were all over the states bc their service is unmatched and the food is amazing! My next visit to LA I will definitely always find myself at Don Cuco. The staff is absolutely amazing! Thank you again!

This is a great family restaurant with really nice and friendly staff. I called to make reservations, and they gladly took the phone reservations for me. Once we arrived for our dinner, the staff was immediately impressive. The front hostess was very welcoming and took us to our seat right away. The inside decorations are pretty wild and nicely laid out. As soon as we sat down and looked at the menu, we started putting in our orders. The appetizers came out shortly after the entrée. The food was delicious for what it was with no complaints. The location was all around a great family restaurant, and I highly recommend trying them out.

This places is such a gem that my buddies and I have made it out regular guys dinner spot. Most of the menu is great. I love the zarapas, and the freshly made chips and salsa are always amazing. Service is great. The space is perfect for groups of 4-6 people (booths). If you have a bigger party, I believe they can accommodate but you should call and make a reservation just in case. There's usually plenty of parking at the free lot next door unless you go on a very busy (weekend) night.

We sat outside on a blustery evening and the service was still so on top of it even though they were busy our server Miriam who is literally such a beam of light and energy was so kind and attentive with us and made the whole experience so lovely. The food was delish and the vibes were right.

Don Cuco was such a great choice! The atmosphere was calm, with a beautiful ceiling and warm reddish lighting that added to the cozy Mexican vibe. Everything was spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered carne asada and enchiladas rancheras. The steak was incredible, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and great quality. The vegetables were perfectly steamed and flavorful. The shredded chicken had a slightly strong taste for me, but when mixed with the guacamole, it was delicious. Overall, the flavors were fantastic and the meal was so satisfying. I’m sharing two pics, one with our full order and one after we finished everything! We didn’t leave a thing because it was just that good!

This has got to be some of the freshest Mexican Cuisine I've ever had! Taco shells are made fresh, their Taquitos are made fresh, the meat is seasoned to absolute perfection and everything about this place says "A True Mexican Experience!!!" Perhaps most enjoyable is the manner in which they put customers first and foremost. They believe strongly in the fact that the customer is always right! Truly made me feel right at home in their comfortable environment and family hospitality!

Tasty Mexican food at reasonable rates, friendly and welcoming staff, and great refillable chips and salsa. The portions were hearty, and the service was quick during the weekday lunch hour. The vibe is dark with lots of festive red color. Takeaway is available as well. Would happily return here.

Good times with margaritas! What a fun place. Vibrant colors, great staff, and good food and drinks. We ate outside to enjoy the warm evening weather, and were sat right away durning dinner hours. Our entrees came in a very respectful time as we enjoyed the chips, salsa and drinks. Would recommend.

Love this place. I've been here about 4 times with my family and it never disappoints. Came here Friday evening and the atmosphere was so nice as always. Bathrooms are super clean, friendly staff and great tasting food with good size portions. I ordered the steak Milanesa(beef) and it was so tender and delicious.

I was out walking the neighborhood after my physical therapy appointment and came across Don Cuco's! I'm glad I stopped intotherestaurant! The service is excellent along with the food! The decor is quite nostalgic and fits the mood! There is also a nice sized bar that was showing the Dodger game! It's definitely a restaurant worth checking out!

I've been a customer for many years now. Always have received great service and delicious food. I can testify the 3 seafood tacos, lobster enchiladas, and all chicken/beef enchiladas are great. I prefer black beans over refried, so I appreciate getting those, along with tasty rice and fresh salad or warm enchilada soup.

The food is not the most amazing food in the city by any means, but it's comforting (I like the fajitas), and the service, which is very fast and generous, and the cozy environment make up for it. Chips and salsa are great. The Downtown Burbank location is better (Toluca Lake location is too cramped).

Food has taste no doubt about that however ,the food came out pretty quickly, (strange ) and we ordered the fried ice cream -STOP DO NOT ORDER. Most fried ice creams are hot on the outside and tastes amazing , NOT theirs! It was hard as a rock and tastes very old as if it had been sitting for days in the freezer along with the salads.

This is our goto Mexican restaurant in Burbank. We really enjoy it and the prices are really quite fair. Our service staff was very attentive and wonderful to deal with. The food is very good. I had the combo fajitas, which was excellent, and my wife had the shredded beef tacos, which were huge. Good portions at a good price. My only real complaint is the chips and salsa. The salsa is the most gringo salsa I've ever had, lol. 0% spicy. It tastes fine, but you'd expect *some* heat. All the same, we love this place when we're in Burbank looking for good Mexican food. I recommend it. Oh, and I don't drink, but my wife had their margarita and wowzers. That thing came in a fish bowl with a stem, lol. Be careful. 😆

Food and atmosphere were fine. Service was also good considering our large group. Conversation was challenging because of the noise levels but mood was festive.

Good place to get some Mexican food. Checked out this place for my daughter’s birthday. The server was awesome. They serve you fresh tortillas chips when you are seated. We ordered a few appetizers and food for the kids. The tacos are good but I was not too crazy about the fajitas. The place is poorly lit and it’s hard to read the menu but they have a huge choice of food. I hear the drinks are great but I don’t drink. There is this cool fountain in the place which is interesting. The folks came out and sang happy birthday in front of our daughter. She wore this huge sombrero which was cool. Over all it was a good visit.

This time we shared appetizers like Mexican pizza, bacon quesadilla and it was both good. The service was good but the guy cleaning our table was as good as our server so gave him a little extra. But we still tipped our server 20%. The place is worth eating at but be prepared to spend money cause they are high price for a Mexican restaurant, and it is very dark inside and red.

For being in downtown Burbank it is a good mexican food place. Fajitas are averagely priced but pretty good. Salsa is good. Can’t go wrong with this place for a regular meal. Clean and friendly staff.

First place we went to eat while being on vacation. The place is well decorated but feels quite tight, they get really full I would suggest making a reservation

3.5/5 Late Post It's been a while since my last visit to Don Cuco's. The chips and salsa are tasty and well-seasoned. I tried the pastor carne and arroz con pollo. Both dishes were part of a combo where you could choose between soup or salad. My partner and I went for both soups of the day: albondigas and chicken tortilla. The albondigas was rich in flavor but overly salty, while the chicken tortilla was the better choice that day. The arroz con pollo was decent, but covered in a lot of cheese and sour cream. The pastor carne was smaller than expected and lacked flavor - maybe it all went into the soup? The rice and beans were okay, but I would prefer the beans without onion and tomato in them. The service was average and could be improved. The servers were lacking in some areas, such as not refilling water promptly; we had to ask twice. Additionally, tortillas should be a standard when ordering Mexican food, but we had to request them. The atmosphere is dimly lit and romantic. They were quite busy on a Wednesday evening. They offer outdoor seating, and although I can't recall seeing outdoor heaters in the patio area but they are dog-friendly!

Everything from this place was perfect. The atmosphere, the food, it made me feel like I wasn't in burbank anymore. Just the service was a bit annoying. They're on you almost every minute and it's not just one servant its multiple employees coming to you. Can't even enjoy eating the food and talking to your friends. Also the second your plate is empty they instantly come and take your plate. They don't even give you a chance to breath. I just think they need to tone down the service a bit and let people take in all the beautiful decorations, atmosphere and especially the food.

My $15.95 lunch-time Chile Verde, served with rice and beans, tasted good. The portions were small (thinly spread-out and/or did not cover the plate) unlike other Mexican restaurants. BUT, $10.95 for a single-size, watered-down, "house" margarita on the rocks?!! That's just nuts! The waitress said, yeah, our prices went up recently. Two years ago my late wife and I celebrated her last birthday here and that's why I went back yesterday, just to fondly remember that occasion. Well, there are other fine Mexican restaurants in Burbank that I have grown to love. I don't think I'll be back to Don Cuco's any time soon.

We use to love dining at Cucos. Last night 8/1/25 we sat at the bar had margaritas and ordered the steak/chicken Fajitas @$26 they bring the meal on much smaller skillet which held 2 strips of each meat and onions with one tiny slice of bell pepper. They have raised their prices and serving maybe at best half the normal size of Fajitas. I give a 3 star only the drinks and bar tender were good

We checked out this Mexican restaurant for the first time and were really impressed with how attentive the staff were. Everyone was friendly and checked on us often, which we appreciated. The only downside on the service side was that things felt a little rushed — since it was our first time, we would’ve liked a bit more time to settle in and look over the menu. I ordered a mango margarita and was given a frozen one without being asked. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I usually prefer it on the rocks and didn’t realize there were options. For my meal, I went with the camarones al mojo de ajo, and unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The presentation wasn’t great — the rice had melted cheese on top, which felt out of place, and the sauce tasted kind of canned. The shrimp had a strong taste and an aftertaste that lingered more than I would’ve liked. It wasn’t totally inedible, just not something I’d order again — especially at that price point. Overall, the staff were great and the service was solid, but the food left me a bit disappointed. I might give it another try down the line and order something different.

I HAVE HAD MUCH BETTER MEALS AT TACO BELL. Brought my mom to this establishment and thought we would enjoy. My mom had the two taco combo and I had the taco and enchilada combo. The food was bland, and tasted like it just came out of the microwave. Honestly, food on a plane is better. The tacos were dry and nasty (no sour cream, no cheese, and no guac). The servers were attentive and very nice (not their fault the food was subpar). Fire the cook, and promote the servers. We will not return or recommend this dive. We were there on a Tuesday night. Fire the manager on duty.
