Granada Burbank Reviews
Great spot for Mexican food! Very good enchiladas, rice, and beans! They also give you salsa and beans with the chips which I appreciated. Very friendly too.
Really tasty food, good size portions. Good value. Friendly service.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I tried the molcajete for the first time yesterday, it was delicious and bountiful! It was $50 but there was plenty for three of us and we took leftovers home. Yum!
I’ve been coming here 42 years love this place food is good and margaritas are good.
It was a little dark, traditional mexican decorations, nice ambiance with mexican music playing softly. They have a brunch that comes with champagne, mimosa or orange juice. I got the chile Verde chilaquiles, my husband got the chorizo breakfast. The sauce on mine, was delicious, the eggs I got scrambled and they were perfect. I has grilled chicken a d that too was perfect, tasty and thin sliced. My husband loved his burrito, big portions we took half of each of our meals home. Definitely a place we will come back again to, friendly staff, decent prices and great food.
It was a great family experience and the food was great. I had the taco and enchilada with a couple shots of tequila and a beer. We ordered and shared some other dishes such as a chicken burrito, which was also delicious. The staff were helpful and professional and the restaurant was clean. It’s a big restaurant so there’s plenty of parking.
Part One; Three years ago... GOOD local Mexican restaurant. Last visit, an odd rendition of carnitas tostada... It was good and filling but more like carnitas nachos, add lettuce... Kinda weird Part Two; 12/26/22... Had al a carte Chili Relleno and grilled Fish Taco in addition to a Chicken Quesadilla. See pictures... All items well prepared and delicious. Good margaritas (two pitchers) as well. "Price per person" includes the pitchers of margaritas DOG FRIENDLY (on patio)!!!
We been coming here for 20 years and have always had a great meal. It's true family style Mexican comfort food. There margaritas are really great also. The staff has always been fast and friendly and are on top of there game. I believe they still have 2 for one Tuesdays! One of our family favorites!
Coming here for the first time was an interesting experience. Ordered the shrimp cocktail with crab meat was a very different experience. Loved it! Love the fact they bring you an appetizer of chips and salsa and beans. Had the chance to try the carne en su jugo, lots of flavor not too bad very simple. The rice was the best so far very fluffy and perfectly cooked. The food was average to be honest but I still enjoyed it. Love the decorations of the restaurant it feels very authentic Mexican restaurant.
You get what you expect, so don’t expect amazing. LoL it’s whatever Mexican style food. So don’t give them horrible reviews, you should know this before you eat here lol The enchiladas were ok, beans and rice were normal. -it was Tuesday and for some strange cool reason they had buy one get one combo free. Winning! I ordered one chicken enchilada, it was good enough to eat, I took the other entree home. My boyfriend loves the seafood burrito with white sauce, unless I cooked him the real version lol at home. Crowd is mostly non Mexican lol. They have a full bar which is great and the drinks aren’t weenie. I wouldn’t necessarily wanna come back here again unless someone really wanted too. It’s more of a Burbank locals spot I guess
First time here. Came in on a Wednesday for dinner. We were quickly served chips a side of delicious salsa but the side of beans were spoiled. (Frijoles acedos). I ordered the machaca wet burrito. One of my favorites. I was really looking forward to this. Once my dinner was brought out. I tried to cut the burrito/tortilla with the side of the fork. It would not cut through. I used the fork and knife provided. Ah ha!! The flour tortilla was not cooked through. I let the waiter know to let the cook know this was not acceptable. I took the tortilla off. I am not eating a semi raw flour tortilla. No, thank you I do not want a replacement. I ate the machaca beef which was delicious and perfectly seasoned with green peppers and onion. The cheese and sauce topping burrito was good too. It did have a good portion of machaca for a $15 wet burrito. Sorry I am not coming here again. You only get one chance.
Came here 15 years ago and wasn’t sure I wanted to come back, but my family insisted on trying them because they haven’t. I wish they would listen to me. Jeez. Granadas is extremely dated, drab and not so clean looking. Service was ok. The busers are actually better than the server. I’m very bewildered by the reviews. I’m truly starting to believe that there is a lot of people in this world that just don’t know what good food is because they haven’t had it. No fault of anyone’s but I’m truly not sure how this business has stayed in business as long as it has. Loyal local Burbank patrons I’m sure is what keeps a float. When we went into the restaurant there wasn’t anyone to greet us. We waited along with a different party of guests for about 5 minutes before someone greeted us. The person who greeted us didn’t even know where to seat us then states “we’ll sit where you want”. We sit down and we’re giving a small bowl of salsa and refried beans. The beans were amazing! The refried beans were the star out of all the food we ordered. Why do you say the refried beans were the star? Well, they were to a T authentic. Beans and lard. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce with heat. Mix the salsa with the beans and you have a great duo. Then you must deal with children who run a muck and no one says anything and parents do nothing. Trust…I have children, but I would never allow them to jump from table to table and run around the restaurant. That is so disrespectful of other guest! My brother ordered a burrito. He said it was dry, but he couldn’t stop eating the beans…. Addictive! My mother and I we shared shrimp and steak fajitas. The shrimp were so over cooked they bounced off the table, not to mention very bland. The steak was extremely thin and somewhat burned not too much flavor at all. The rice had no flavor whatsoever. Pico de gallo was good. Not hard to mess that up anyway. Those beans though wow! Needless to say, I was definitely not impressed. There are a few other Mexican restaurants in Burbank however, I’m not sure if I would pick this one as being the best. Not to mention the prices are a little over the top. Lots of food but not worth the price. Trust me I have no problem paying high dollar for great food, but this just isn’t unfortunately. They do have a lunch specials. So, I would go then if you did want to try. This is not the worst place I have had but it’s definitely not the best as it says. I gave it three stars because of everything that I wrote in the review. You wanna try it? Then the beans are the tix! Seriously though I’m not a fan of this restaurant.
It was ok, I came in the front door and no one came to seat me, I sat myself. Food was ok, got a Mai Tai for $14.95 and I couldn't taste anything, not a good place for cocktails.
Awful rude service. The food is so so. The restaurant looks dirty. Wouldn’t mind all of that if at least the server hadn’t been rolling his eyes and being rude.
Ive never had a food experience as bad as this before but here we go. I've been here before for brunch and it was delicious and ive also had margaritas. I went today and I was very disappointed with the food quality. I got garlic shrimp (which was overcooked) and my husband got diabla shrimp and his wasnt spicy at all and mine didnt even taste seasoned or like it had garlic at all plus she didn't give me tortillas she gave me garlic bread. Garlic bread with Mexican food, rice and beans? I've never gotten garlic bread before at a Mexican restaurant. My shrimps were also so small, 26$ for my plate was not worth it at all. Also I asked for a double margarita and didnt get that and I also didnt taste any tequila in my margarita at all. My husband said he did enjoy his pina colada at least. Food was also pricey, I dont know what happened to the quality of this place but sadly I dont think I will be coming back.
It's time to put to rest this place. I've never had a bad food experience in the 45 years I lived in Burbank. I had to send back the taquitos, and the pork chimichanga, it was horrible. The meat tastes fake. Unfortunately, I will never visit here again. The restaurant had maybe 6 customers on a Friday. I remember when it used to be full on every table. Good luck to them.
