Olive and Thyme Burbank Reviews
Olive &Thyme is a great place for lunch the menu is extensive, giving you plenty of options ranging for the canrviore to the vegan! The atmosphere and decor in this place is immaculate and inviting. Almost has a southern feel to it. The service is fast paced-among the best, staff very friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a good place for family and friends to eat this has to be hands down one of the best places to eat in Hollywoow area or Burbank! Well definitely bringing moms who's vegan here!
Ordered The Breakfast Burrito. Fairly sized and really good! Came with a container of Green Tomatillo Salsa. This is the second time I've ordered from here and although the prices are kind of high, the food is really good! I world recommend the Avocado & Burrata Toast, it's one of their most popular items and it's delicious!
I got the Kale chopped salad. It was incredible. Pistachios and avocado 🥑 My friend got the deconstructed chicken salad with arugula and 1/2 avocado. The noise level was very loud, but looks to be a great spot for a work day lunch meeting. Nice and bright and cozy. I didn’t have time to look at the desserts case, but will next time!
Best latte I’ve had on my trip to North America (coming from a Melbourne coffee snob). The breakfast burrito was also excellent, not too large and great flavour. My partner ordered the BAT and said he really enjoyed it.
My wife and I stayed across the street at The Tangerine Hotel and we just flew in and we went straight to Olive & Thyme to get something to eat and we both got a sandwich and they were both very good! I saw that they had cookies, so after we ate we bought some cookies to take back to our hotel and the cookies were delicious! The day we left I had to go back and buy more cookies to take home. Definitely coming back when we’re in the Burbank area.
Exploring around where my daughter lives. We found this place and had a great breakfast. I had the short Rib hash and it was very tasty. My daughter had the pancakes. We got some pastries to go and they were also very good. The service was fast and friendly. Will go there again when in the area.
I loved the ambiance. Met a friend for lunch at 12:30 - probably its peak time. It was packed. I used the valet parking $6. We were there for about 2 hours chatting and in the first hour, we were practically shouting since it was so loud in the restaurant. I had the Chinese chicken salad. I didn't like it all that much because I didn't like the way the chicken was prepared - kinda stringy in texture and chewy. The salad portion was surprisingly large though. I couldn't finish it. It also could have used more dressing. I would not order again, but I'm curious to try other items on the menu like a sandwich or come back here for breakfast/ brunch. Overall, classy decor and trendy vibe. Would probably return here to try new things or have a bite with a friend.
Great brunch spot with so many flavorful daily specials! They even put out fresh water for your four legged friends and treats! Limited patio dining! The store inside is well stocked and everyone was super friendly and helpful! Shoutout to Wendy for helping gift wrap a special gift for my friend! We ate here just before heading to a show taping at Warner Brothers. It was an easy walk to Lot 3!
Incredible experience. First off the, the storefront is incredibly beautiful, clean, and unique. I had a large takeout order (12 people). It was ready quickly and Tyler made it incredibly easy to place our order via email. Food is excellent and menu include lots of unique options that also include many accommodations for different dietary restrictions. I was greeted as soon as showed up and offered something to drink while I waited for my order to be packed up. Could not have been more pleased. I will be back again and would recommend it to anyone. This place goes above and beyond and I felt like I got more value than I paid for. Way to go Tyler and staff!
It was my birthday on Tuesday April 2nd I couldn't decide where to have my birthday dinner so while driving to the airport I decided to search for restaurants on the GPS. We came across Olive & Thyme. My mom ordered the avocado and burrata cheese toast (not pictured). I ordered the Mary's fried chicken with mashed potatoes and broccolini. I was a little hesitant in ordering the Fried Chicken, as I am very picky; I was not disappointed. The chicken was well seasoned, and fried to perfection; crispy and juicy. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery well-seasoned and the broccolini wasn't overcooked it still had a bite to it a crunch that was also seasoned really well... everything was delicious- my mom loved her avocado toast so much so that she stated the next time I'm in the area pick up a to go order 😊
Amazing food and even better culture. For a simple breakfast and matcha drink, the flavor was outstanding. You’ll love this place unless your name is Antonia
Amazing. Walked in to get a coffee and everything looked so good that we ended up having a full meal at 10:45am. The butternut squash soup was transcendent. The kale green goddess salad is a must-order. And the gluten free chocolate chip cookie dipped in a hot drip coffee was the perfect dessert. Service was friendly & efficient. Will be back soon!!
We recently hosted an event at Olive & Thyme in Burbank for incoming American University freshmen, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Matthew and his team were absolutely first class. The venue itself is warm, stylish, and welcoming — the perfect backdrop for such a special gathering. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented, and guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed it. Most importantly, the service was flawless: attentive, friendly, and all smiles, which set the tone for a truly memorable afternoon. For the incoming students and their families, it was a meaningful way to mark the beginning of their AU journey, and for us as hosts (and proud AU parents), it was a moment we’ll never forget. Thank you to Matthew and the entire Olive & Thyme team for helping make this event such a success — you exceeded every expectation!
Olive and Thyme is what I would call a very happy, well-lit little almost French style cafe that also serves some light sandwiches, pastas, salads and other options. The large windows let the natural light which is great because it's located on a corner lot. There's a high-top bar-style seating area and also very large communal-style natural wood tables that really give the place a warm feel. As mentioned before, it's just a nice place to grab a bite, hang out, and I would also say have one of the best black iced teas I've ever had in my life. 😄
I love how this place gives me the Café vibes. I tried their food and omg best! I had the Green Goddess chicken avocado plate and it is delicious! Also their matcha is amazing!
Olive & Thyme is such a charming spot for breakfast or lunch! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the café has a cute, cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. Perfect for a casual meal or catching up with friends, definitely a local favorite!
Based off my first experience here… 5 ⭐️ and I’d come back for sure. Not only that, if I ever wanted to open a breakfast/ lunch spot I’d pay to consult ownership to recreate this in Seattle. The food… standard breakfast burrito: I’m used to these things being as big as your head and messy yet delicious. This one was of modest size and put together flawlessly. Egg and cheese wrapped around tater tot like potatoes, bacon and avocado. My only criticism is that the tortilla used didn’t get heated up on the skillet completely (to soften) or it’s just a stiffer flour tortilla than I prefer. That said, I’d order another one tomorrow. And the green salsa it come with is 🔥 4.5/5 ⭐️ The bacon, spinach quiche: fluffy, seasoned perfectly, dough was heavenly for real, and the sausage used was unexpected and I’m thankful. I’d eat this daily. For dinner too. 5.2/5 ⭐️ 😜 Vibe: this place felt like an indoor farmers market mixed with a high end boutique. I spent 88 before tip for burrito, quiche, avocado toast with poached egg and three juices. Ask: Can we add another type of pancake or waffle? There’s only one option today… maybe it rotates?
Tried Olive and Thyme for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. You need to order first and than hopefully find some seating to eat. We didn’t have an issue on Saturday at noon, especially if you are ok seating at a communal table. The service was friendly and pretty fast. We really enjoyed the tuna salad sandwich…nice crisp from lettuce and red onions, tuna was perfectly seasoned and the bread was really good! Wonder if they just sell the bread to take home?
I’ve eaten at Olive & Thyme several times, and it never disappoints! This is one of my favorite restaurant stops when I’m in town from NC. Was served by Wendy today who was just so friendly, sweet, and helpful. She really made mine and my daughter’s time there that much better with her wonderful service and lovely smile. In addition to great food, Olive & Thyme is beautiful, has some great fun treats and non-food finds, the bathrooms are always clean, and the service is always great!
We were looking for a nice brunch spot and this place didn’t disappoint! It was beautiful inside, the restrooms were very clean and the atmosphere inside was great. The food was absolutely amazing!!! We got the Nutella and Banana pancakes, Brioche Sandwich, Poached egg toast and the avocado and burrata toast. The side salads were made perfectly. We loved everything we ordered and it wasn’t overpriced at all. Great brunch spot!
Ambiance was pleasant. The service was great and the food was delicious. I ate an Oreo cookie and it was amazing.
Wonderful lunch spot! Such a cute atmosphere inside and it’s in a great, central location. The items are a bit pricey but you get a lot. The food tastes fresh and high quality. The employees were incredibly kind and gave us amazing service! I really loved eating here.
The Brioche sandwich is delicious! I usually order the poached eggs, which are always cooked perfectly. This time I decided to try something new and over the past few days I’ve also tried the breakfast burrito. (My only critic is I wish they had other spicy salsa options) After trying the brioche sandwich it’s my new favorite on the menu and a must try!
10/10 I would highly recommend. This cute spot has a full coffee bar and incredible bakery items on top of their beautiful restaurant. The food here is so well crafted and so delicious and the service is just incredible. I always have a great experience here. If you don't want to dine-in you can just stop in for a coffee and a pastry to go!
Beautiful cafeteria and bakery. It has an European cafe vibe in it. The lunch sandwiches are delicious. Lots more of choices. Apple pop-pie is really good. Nutella croissant too.

Olive & Thyme was THE BEST restaurant I have ever tried. The food was spectacular - especially their Cesar, spicy chicken sandwich, and fattoush salad. The service there was great. I got helped immediately as I sat down. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The decor and candles and cookbooks are great! The restaurant is also family friendly so you can take your kids! The owner (Melina Davies) even has her own cookbook! I can’t wait to buy it and try to make some of her recipes!! Olive & Thyme is a spectacular restaurant that you HAVE to try!
The place was clean and pristine. The food matched with a “clean eating” feeling. It felt like really good quality and was light and fresh with good portions. It was definitely as I imagined it would be. I do wish they had longer hours. And I have to say the Oreo cookie was disappointing, but other than that, absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back many times. And I’m bringing friends.
I have to give a special shoutout to this place. I was in a rush to get a lunch order back in time for a meeting today and Matthew was very understanding and willing to accommodate. When I arrived, he met me out on the curb as I drove up, handed my order to me inside my car and refused the tip I tried to give. It wasn't much, but it was almost like he knew I'm an assistant and understood everything that was going on here. I insisted and he said he would give it to his staff. I really wish I had more to give and writing a positive review seemed like the next best thing I could do. Matthew showed real kindness, which this world needs more of! That guy rocks.

Had lunch today at Olive & Thyme and it did not disappoint! I don't normally order Quiche, but the quiche was amazing. Filled with carrots, brussel Sprouts and parmesean cheese was delish! The braised short rib sandwich might be the best sandwich I have ever had. 3 words...horseradish creme fraiche!!! We will be back!!
Excellent breakfast and coffee, we had poached eggs on toast a flat white and a cappuccino. The poached eggs came with a delicious simple arugula salad with lime. My only gripe about this place is the price. It's kind of table service but you have to pay and order at the register, for what they charge it should be full service.
This was the first time here. I had a look at the menu and decided to give it a shot. The parking was easy enough on a Saturday morning. I found a spot on the next block up and within a few short steps I was at the door. The first impression of this place even just by looking at the menu was reminiscent of another popular well known cafe on West 3rd street in Beverly Hills. So much so that now that I live in NoHo this will take the other places spot on my ‘good places to eat’ list. You order and the counter and then take a number and find a seat. They have a good selection of pastries and cookies as well as a really robust menu. I had the strawberry croissant, the eggs Florentine and a latte. After sitting down, the service was fairly prompt and things trickled in just enough to not make me think it’s taking too long. The food itself was great. The poached eggs were perfect. They had just enough tension to feel them ‘split’ when I cut them. The croissant was really sweet and had some cream cheese and strawberry jam filling. The lattes were good too. The only downside was the music being a little too loud to hold a conversation. I would definitely come back.
Beautiful restaurant, the atmosphere is light and energetic. The food is good but can't say what I got was great. That's on me because I know the menu has a wide variety of options. It was hot the day I went and I wanted something light. I got the tuna salad which was good and the lemon potato salad which was not. I wanted to love it because I love lemon but it gave me lemon pie with potato chunks and my mind couldn't process. The pumpkin cookie was good and the chocolate chip cookie was AMAZING. The service was lacking.... the girl that took our order was a doll. Super helpful, friendly and kind. However, it took over thirty minutes for me to receive the tuna and potato salad. The server kept staring while my friend had received her food long before I did. We had to go request my food. The server was rude about it, as if we were the ones in the wrong. This really made me want to give the restaurant a much lower rating but I don't feel that's fair because over all it was a nice experience and I will probably return at least one more time to see if it was just a bad day for service.
The food here is excellent! There is no doubt that you will be satisfied with what you ordered. My wife and I walk past this place and today we decided to give it a try. And we are glad we did. The prices are higher than what w would like to spend bit it will be our new spot when we want to treat ourselves. The bread really makes the sandwiches we tried stand out. We crushed half of our spicey chicken and BAT wit chicken sandwiches. Then for dinner we finished them off. The corn chowder soup was excellent. Their lemonade hit the perfect balance of sweet and sour. We can't wait to go back and try something new. And they also serve beer.

Extremely cute place! Had high hopes, but not the place for me. When I walked in, the person who took our order was chatting with another employee and not being here before, I wasn't aware I needed to go somewhere to order (it's not obvious). Had the short ribs hash without Sriracha, but I really don't think that would have helped. Not salted and the meat was gamey, but you can definitely tell the eggs are high quality by the yoke color. Asked for mustard to help, which is a standard for hash, and got spicy brown, which isn't the same. My son had the breakfast burrito, and he enjoyed it. I had the latte and it was pretty and tasty❤️
The ambiance is welcoming, clean, and promising. The staff is lovely and kind. However, the food is overpriced for what it is, as it was a hit-and-miss for our party of four. The vegan bowl was basically a large bowl of rice with whatever vegetable was around, quite a disappointment for $14
Been curious about this spot for a while, whenever I ride my bike around I would always see people jammed in this spot having a good time. Finally got to try the place out yesterday and was happy I did. The ambiance was very nice and the service was amazing. We ordered ourselves some breakfast items, some coffee and sandwiches. While the food descriptions on the menu was very appetizing. The actual food are O.k. my friends Bacon/Egg/Brie sandwich while it looks good was too saucy. It had a weird flavor that was not described in the menu and so did my breakfast burrito. Coffees are good but not strong at all, very sweet. All in all , an O.k. spot, not dying to go back but glad I went. On to the next one and there is a lot of cool spots along Riverside.
Food is good, simple but done well, but quite overpriced. I've gotten most of the salads, some of the sandwiches, and all the toasts, and I always feel like it should cost 50% of what it does. This is a picture of the poached egg toast, which is 16+. It's near my office so very convenient and, again, it is good, but feels important to know what you're getting vs what you're paying.
I was waiting to come and try this place for a very long time, it is a very nice location with a carefully desiged with special focus on details. unfortunately when I arrived it took a while to find someone to seat me, they got me utensils and I asked if I could order say yes and they left then I discovered I should be ordering at the counter I wish if they had better communication so I would not need to wait all that time just to order so I just left I was running out of time. I hope I could find some other time to visit and try them. I could not find any olives or thyme on the menu haaa'a
Super cute place, nice atmosphere. A bit overpriced for the quality. Burger was cold, fries crispy but no potato in the middle. Vegan chili was a bit too tomato-y for my liking. Banh mi was tasty but small for the price. May have to try different menu options.
