Sub King Burbank Reviews
I just had the greatest Tuna Kimchi Melt & I wish I could eat this everyday. Thank you for providing great customer service and every greater FOOD 😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
French Dips on Wednesday is my go to. Best sandwich ever? Yes, yes it is. I've heard stories of the pizza sub being better, but every time I try to get one they're sold out!
The best sub in LA. Most friendly polite owner at the register. He makes his own bread. All ingredients are top notch and with very good prices. The Thanksgiving dinner sandwich is a limited edition heavenly sub. The French dip on Wednesdays is a must try. Come in early because it gets busy. Chicken pesto is amazing and if you want more spicy get the Korean BBQ and also italian style subs are available. Always down to come here.
Absolutely wonderful service and delicious sandwiches
This is definitely a new favorite of mine. The Italian Sub I got was amazing, and the bread was perfect. I asked for extra pickles and got just that! Made the sandwich perfect for me and I'm excited to come back and get another one sometime very soon! Definitely give this place a try!
Great sandwich shop! Great baguettes, fresh ingredients, and house-made giardiniera. If you love spicy try the bulgogi sub. Every sub I've had here has been delicious. I always order a large sub so I can save half of it for dinner. It holds great. I just realized that I've been coming here for 25 years!! The quality has never faltered. So try it already 😀.
Wow... the best sandwich I ever had! Such a great value too. Walked in there for the first time and glad I did because the subs were delicious. The spicy bbq chicken sub has such great flavor and will be back for more! The turkey bacon avocado was so bomb too. I will be coming back to try the others for sure!
Omg! Best Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich ever..
Best Sub Shop in California. For one I hate pickles on anything. this place has the only pickles i have ever eaten and liked. Service is as fast as they can possibly go. the ingredients are high quality and fresh. Will definitely be going again.
First timer today. Had the Korean BBQ with bulgogi marinated beef, lettuce, tomato, pickles and spicy mayo. Very good ate the whole sub for lunch lol will definitely be back. I recommend this spot if you're craving for a nice sub. Interior is a tab cramped so I recommend coming before lunch time or to go. Beef was really good and mayo had a tiny bit of spicy but it complemented the sandwich.
Sub King was great! They accommodated our large group without a problem and with incredible kindness. The Vegetarian Kiki special was DELICIOUS! I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area looking for a quick meal, yummy food, and awesome service.
Yum! Delicious Food! This place is a gem in Burbank. I had the chicken ranch bacon sandwich today. It was scrumptious; fresh baguette, tender white meat chicken and delightful ranch dressing drizzled on a bed of lettuce and tomato! It hit the spot on the go. Excellent service! I highly recommend Submarine King; it's family owned and high quality standards.
This place has amazing sandwiches, great owners and a pleasant atmosphere. Any sandwich will not disappoint, believe me we’ve tried quite a few and they just get better each time. A must go if you’re in the area.
Came in with an order for a large group of people and the staff was very accommodating! The owner came out and went over all I needed and was incredibly kind. The sandwiches themselves were a hit with everyone. Definitely a place to go back to multiple times.
Been ordering from this local spot for the last 10 years. It a favorite for those working in the area / Burbank. Their Avocado, Turkey, Bacon sandwich is out of this world good. Simple, delicious sandwiches with lots of flavor. One of the best spots in LA and my personal favorite.
I passed this place for years without stopping. It's easy to dismiss - a lunch-only joint in a generic strip mall. But the owner, Sun, besides being a really nice guy, is also fiercely dedicated to quality. Not only that, but he's got some interesting things beyond the standard sub shop menu, like the Korean beef sandwich (reflecting his heritage) and the homemade giardianera (from his Seattle roots). And his specials really are, like the thanksgiving turkey sub with cranberry sauce and gravy, or the French dip every Wednesday.
Great sandwich and friendly service! I had the turk bac avo with provolone and spicy mayo. I like the meat ratio personally . I dont like an overstuffed sando. This was perfect for me. Delish
This hole in the wall is pretty awesome place to go to for a quick bite. Being my first time, and intimated by the menu, I asked Son to help me decide what to get. I asked for something sweet and spicy, and he recommended the spicy BBQ chicken sandwich. My, oh my, was the sub delicious! I'm definitely coming back to try the other subs on the menu when I'm in the area.
I was very stressed about making a flight because my phone had just died when I got lunch here. The man at the counter (presumably the owner?) helped me open my new charger and showed me where to plug it in and my food came out super quick, all of which helped me feel more at ease. I ended up eating my tuna sub at the airport, and it was definitely better than anything I could have bought at the terminal! Thanks Submarine King for a happy ending to an otherwise stressful day :)
Super friendly staff, cute and clean. Ordered a vegetarian sub, and the counter dude was like,”next time try the Kiki special if your into veg options”. After he explained what was on it, I had to change my order. That sub slapped man, slammed the whole thing, sauce dripping down my shirt and everything. But honestly, this place could t make a bad sub, their bread was fire and all the ingredients were fresh. Killer job!
Woooowwww what a gem! This place serves some high quality delicious subs! I got the turkey sub and it was sooo delicious and gourmet. I also bought two s’mores cookies that are homemade and made my taste buds dance! Very hospitable service and I got my items so fast :)
Geek and car enthusiasts will appreciate the atmosphere, (try the Honolulu) and great food lovers will enjoy the great selection of sandwiches, (try the Honolulu), the prices are reasonable for the quality, (try the Honolulu). Disclaimer, after eating here you won't be able to eat subway or JM's sandwiches, (try the Honolulu), my recommendation is to start with a Honolulu and ask for half and half, you will love it.
Great grinders, great service, and a varied menu. They have Korean and Hawaiian inspired flavors as well as the classics. Im in town a couple times a year and always go out of my way to stop in for lunch.
This place just absolutely slaps. Great sandwiches. Great service. Just go you won’t regret it.
When the bread smells good it's a great sign. First time here, had Italian sausage sub. Who I assume is the owner was so nice and engaging I ended up still talking to him for several minutes after ordering. Seemed like a pattern because others that seemed like regulars chatted too and he knew them by name. I'm not really into comics, but it's still really fun to see a huge collection on the walls and all the graphic novel art.
Hands down the best sandwich shop I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going for a couple years now. The thing about this place is not only the food but the people who make it such an awesome place. Magnificent zz plants there, fun selection of art and comics/magazines. Incredibly knowledgeable man behind the counter on lots of really cool topics. Raise your vibration, stop by get some killer subs and conversation. Try their yummy homemade cookies. Keep up the good work, yall at submarine king are the best. I appreciate yall so much. Yum! My fav.!
Amazing Italian Subs and Classic Asian Inspired Twists! Hands down my absolute favorite family owned and run sandwich shop in Burbank. Really excellent quality food down to the ingredients and the owner is a delightful man! Love the Sarducci and the Korean BBQ sandwich, some subs are toasted while others are cold cut but they are equally delicious!
This hidden gem is a must-visit for a satisfying meal on a budget. With just a few bucks, you can enjoy a hearty sandwich in Burbank. I ordered the beef sandwich and the Avacado Turkey Bacon sandwich, and both meats were juicy with perfectly balanced toppings. Kiki was spot on with her recommendation to a first-time visitor. Given the affordable price and quick service, I'll definitely be back to tame my hunger again!
The owners and staff are so friendly and informative. They explained in detail what the signature sandwiches and the specials were and how they are cooked. They use a special bread. Their Sarducci’s Italian with pepperoni, Genoa salami, smoked ham and melted cheese was very good!!!! The owner suggested spicy mayo and I got an add on of housemade giardiniera! I’ll get that one again and also try their Italian cold cuts, meatball, and BBQ beef sandwiches soon. Put this spot on your rotation and list!
I just had the best sandwiches in my life. The French dip and chicken pesto sandwiches are soooo good. I also heard the chicken bacon ranch is amazing. I will be back for more!
Fantastic Sub shop in Burbank near Nickelodeon. Family run place with fantastic subs including a Korean beef bulgogi sub and an amazing sub call the Sarducci. They also have smoothie and boba drinks. It was busy for lunch on a Wednesday and the parking lot was full, but spots open up fairly quickly, do wait for a dpoty. You'll be glad you did! Highly recommended
Best hidden gem in the area. Amazing quality sandwiches.
The sub sandkwch here is soooooo good! I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch here before and it just blew my taste bud. This time however since my company treated us for lunch, they got us the Korean bbq sandwich. It was very delicious and had a extra kick of spiciness which I loved. The cucumber was a nice touch to the sandwich that add that extra favor.
3/15/25: Excellent Korean beef sub (did cucumber, kimchi and 2 cheese)
Absolutely fabulous sandwiches. I got the Korean beef sub, highly recommended.
My favorite sandwich in the valley. If you are lucky enough and he’s manning the counter say Hi to Sun and get the low down on what special sandwiches he’s offering. If you like to zing up the flavor also ask for his homemade spicy sauce options. But be warned, there’s one option that has to be a Scoville scale hotness challenge contender! Excellent blended ice smoothy options go perfect with one of these subs on a hot SoCal afternoon. Oh, and for variety or on a rare cool day the rice bowls hit the spot for some non-sandwich goodness.

THE BEST sandwich spot! Their bool gogi is actually to die for, its perfection along with pretty much everything else they have on the menu! Everyone at this business is so extremely welcoming and friendly this is just all around an incredible spot that you'll definitely crave at least once a week after trying!
The best sandwich shop in Burbank. Have been in a few times trying different sandwiches each time. They are all unique and flavorful. The owner is really nice. Highly recommend
Sonny And his crew are so welcoming and always very friendly and not to see you. The atmosphere is amazing and they have a variety of sub sandwiches that are all extremely delicious. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. If you’re Wanting a sandwich for lunch you need to order in advance and just pick it up. Otherwise there will be a little wait Because of how delicious his sandwiches are. I give it five stars plus

If you like a good authentic sub this is the place to go! I got the chicken pesto and I loved every bite of it! My favorite is the French dip as well. I highly recommend trying it! Every time I’m around Burbank I stop by this place.
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE little spot!! These are the types of local restaurants that’s make a city unique and this is definitely a great little spot in Burbank. If you’re a sandwich person I’d highly recommend coming here. The people that run it are incredibly friendly and nice! The only note is the sandwich could use a bit more meat but all and all incredible spot I’d support again!
sandwich portions are small. Sandwich overall was very good. $17 + tip for a 12 Inch. Pastrami with bacon.

I wanted to like this place more than I did, but that's not to say it's a bad place. You might be put off by the rough exterior, but the welcoming smiles and friendly demeanor of the staff will reel you in. It's clear they have gone to great lengths to make the most of their business; complete with chalk art, a large menu, and cost effective pricing. The subs were fine, but it felt like they skimped on the ingredients to the point I didn't really taste anything I was supposed to. The bread was flavorful, but I wanted to taste everything tucked inside. If you temper you expectations and enjoy friendly people, this could be a great escape for a workday lunch. It certainly better than subway, and much cheaper than a lot of area spots. I'll be coming back.
Nice people. But after working all day and spending $17 on a sub only to get two small slices of meat and mostly bread was appalling and kind of infuriating. Subs are supposed to have meat in them and I was disappointed to say the least. It tastes good and the bread was good but if I’m paying $17 for a sandwich it better have a good amount of protein on it like subs are supposed to. If you’re a vegetarian trying to slowly work your way back to animal proteins but want to start small this will be a great place for you. I feel ripped off sorry. It was delicious regardless and the people are super sweet !
Really awesome staff who will guide you in the right direction when choosing your sub, horrible table seating, super small place.. wouldn't recommend for parties of 3 or more..don't try the yellow corn schiracha chips..they're awful

Been coming here at least a decade. Post covid though, they have cut their proteins in half! Sandwiches are skimpy now, for a higher price. If I'm spending $17 on a sub, I would appreciate it if it wasn't mostly bread. There are a few great sub shops in Burbank, so I don't patron this shop anymore.
