Hands down, the best restaurant in calistoga! The best food we had in the area by far and away and the only restaurant we went to where the people were nice to us and seemed happy to have us there. We ate there twice and ordered a variety of dishes, nothing disappointed!

Wow!!! This was such a pleasant surprise! We were looking for a place to eat, not too expensive, and we opted for the Thai Kitchen. Not only was the food amazing but the price was very reasonable and the service great. I had a salmon curry and it was excellent! It was so worth it!!! Try it’

Some of the best Thai food I have had in all of Northern California. The pad thai and yellow curry are both amazing.

The thai food menu has many options and the dishes are well spiced. The paintings on the walls create a thai atmosphere. The prices are affortable.

The food at Calistoga Thai Kitchen is absolutely delicious!!!! The service unfortunately is lacking. We were served our appetizer without plates and felt as though we were bothering them. I will return, but hope the service becomes better. I've been a server myself and understand that guests should be treated as though they are guests.

Not sure how this restaurant isn't rated higher. One of the best Thai spots I have ever tried. Authentic, the curry is little on the spicy side, and best Thai tea around. For vegetarians the avocado rolls are delicious, and you can't go wrong with the veggie noodle soup. Don't worry about the lower rating, this restaurant is a true gem with a variety of foods for everyone's taste.

We had lunch which was very good. Flavors, presentation, and temperature all on point. We were there on a Sat right when they opened. They have a fairly large dining area so there was plenty of seating and as the restaurant filled, you never felt crowded. Dinner time might be more fun as the place might be filled with more locals.

We visited the Thai kitchen for a graduation dinner for my son. The service was excellent. Our food arrived in a very reasonable time after placing our order. We had a group of 9 people and all our orders were served correctly. The food was flavorful and of good portion size. I thought the price for the food was appropriate for the area. Our entire group enjoyed their meal and we will likely return next time we are in the area.

Thai Kitchen did not disappoint! The Pad Thai noodles were a hit — made vegan with no egg. Even the Thai tea was made vegan with coconut milk. So good! I’d definitely come back with a big group or for a date night.

Visited here for lunch. We ordered vegan green curry with streamed rice and spicy vegetarian fried rice, of course a Singha beer. Food was excellent. Service was very good. Restaurant is very spacious. Also it is easy to find street parking close by. Highly recommend this place.

I definitely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. The food was so delicious and everyone was so friendly and kind it was such a joyous experience. I ordered the basil chicken and it's some of the best basil chicken I have ever had. I like it really spicy and it was definitely on point. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the food here as I did.

We stayed at the Calistoga Inn and after a long day in the valley stumbled across the street to this gem of a restaurant. We ordered the fresh roll, drunken noodle (tofu), and the green curry (tofu). We’re vegetarians and this is a common order for us when we eat Thai. The rolls were delicious. The peanut sauce left us wanting to go home and perfect a similar sauce ourselves. The medium spiced main dishes were absolutely perfect. We’ve had many a Thai dish and these were some of the best. We would give more than 5 stars if we could. Eat here if you’re wondering whether you should or shouldn’t.

Pad thai with prawns is very good. prawns are fresh and yummy. so we ordered sauteed and grilled prawns, too(sweet and sour). and we all are definitely satisfied.

My husband does not like Thai food usually, but felt obligated to go when "everyone else" decided to rendez-vous there the other day. He liked absolutely EVERYthing that we ordered (we are vegetarians) -- except for the yellow curry. For me the curry was GREAT. And everything was so exquisitely garnished! Loved the Pad Thai, The room at 6 pm on a Friday was pretty empty. The tables are bare -- no linens on them, but everything is super clean. The waitress very friendly and "masked" for pandemic safety. We used physical menus that have plastic on them. We finished the meal with sticky rice and mango dessert. This was a work of ART besides excellent flavors. A guest with us (who grew up in Thailand) told us that this restaurant is "A cut above" typical Thai restaurants she's been to in the U.S.

This was a good choice. The food was great and service exceptional. Very clean inside, and relaxing atmosphere. We saw several people look at the menu outside on the window, and kept walking. They missed out on a tasty meal.

A great authentic Thai restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to find this great Thai restaurant. They use real authentic thai ingredients and Food tasted great. I am from New York where we have hundreds Thai restaurants. Calistoga Thai Kitchen is as good as one of the best NYC Thai restaurants. The restaurant is spacious, nicely decorated, high tin ceiling and service was quick. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had just finished a mud bath and massage treatment near by and were starving! Most of the weekend was american food and we were having Asian food withdraw! This place hit the spot. We ordered the calamari, the crying tiger, and the drunken noodles beef. Every single dish was delicious. But the crying tiger was one of the most flavorful ones I had ever had. The calamari was super fresh as well. The service was very attentive. I was not expecting authentic Thai in a small town.

Had their chicken pad thai. Was flavorful, although it tasted a tad different from what I am used to.

This is a good food spot. The staff know that serving is more than just putting a dish in front of the customers. The Tom Yum soup was sour yet that was balanced by a mild sweetness making it a perfect choice. The heart-shaped rice was such a cute touch! The drunken noodles were tasty but not intensely spicy and the panang curry was as nutty as it should have been.

It was Christmas Day and I was in search for an open Chinese restaurant in my quest to continue an ongoing tradition I've been doing for years in reflection of my love of the movie "A Christmas Story." If you know, you know. So I digress and on this holy day, the whole Napa Valley has taken the day off, but I found this gem of a restaurant open. I'm flexible so as my Chinese restaurant substitute, I went here, had no choice. I'd never been here, but a Thai friend once told me that if you want a glimpse of a new-to-you Thai restaurant, start with Pad Thai as it's their national dish and it'd be a good indication for the rest of the menu. In remembering that little pearl of wisdom, that's exactly what I did, an order of Pad Thai and I was pleasantly pleased. Pad Thai isn't created equally, some are overly flavorful that it's overwhelming and others, bland as cardboard. For me at least, this one order was perfection, the midpoint between too flavorful and cardboard. I was solo so I had the disadvantage of ordering one dish, but there were other tables that had a variety and the looked great, but in reading how others were enjoying their meal, it appeared convincing it was a hit with others. In summary, I give these folks thumbs up and perhaps my only other observation is that they're a bit overpriced, but then again, you're Napa Valley in Calistoga where things are expectedly premiumly priced.

Nothing special…regular Thai food, expensive… the restaurant has no atmosphere….

For such small portion, it is expensive. It is tasted towards American standard, kind of too sweet.

Just ok, most of it was bland compared to what I'm used to. Seems very white washed like Mexican food in Montana I would say... the waitress was also a bit condescending like I was a needy karen, but I know better. Also you can see the place was empty. In painted holes in the walls were a bit ridiculous as well. I won't be be coming back for any reason. sorry

S
Star

Minus 1 star for additional charges on credit card payment. You can include the credit card charges in the price of dishes and note on the receipt that you can save some money by paying in cash. The current way of doing this makes me feel cheated. About the food, I recommend beef. Shrimps are too salty.

Okay Thai food. Service is lacking. We ordered silken tofu in our Pad Kee Maw….Got fried tofu. Also, they add credit card fee…Which we were not informed before ordering food, or before paying.

D
D T

Got the chicken green curry and Tom Yum soup. The curry was OK, but I'd say the tom Yum soup was pretty bad. It was more like a vegetable soup and was missing the lemongrass, sweet, sour, spicy flavors which - tom yum with cabbage and carrots is unusual. Lastly, who sells green curry and doesn't include rice? Really, just add some to the price and include rice, please.

E
Ervin

Could not serve the food in less than 1 hour after ordering. How ridiculous! The food is average. What is going on with this restaurant? The decor is drab. There is only one guy in the entire restaurant running around hectically. It's quite a scene. This place is below average at best.

Does not taste like authentic Thai food. The pad Thai was too sweet. The Penang curry was not flavorful , watery curry, and the chicken was dry. The appetizers were decent, I think the best dish was the calamari, very lightly breaded. All in all, won’t return.

I don’t know how this place has 4 stars, a few years ago I ate here and got the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. I was sick for 2 weeks, I had to fly home early. It has been years and I have not touched Thai food ever since. Everyone in my family also got sick. DO NOT EAT HERE, DON’T TAKE THE RISK. All of the locals know not to eat here, apparently people get food poisoning all of the time. I am genuinely so surprised this place is still in business, I will be following up with the city to try and have it inspected, I’m sure if even a quick inspection is done they will be closed down permanently without delay. I got so beyond sick, there is no way the owners aren’t saving and serving food they know has been bad for weeks, putting peoples lives at risk to save a few dollars. I am going to have to end the review here because even years later I am starting to feel physically sick just recounting this event. There are plenty of other places to eat, eat literally anywhere else. These people should be punished criminally.
