Have never had a bad dish or experience here. And holy cow, the pesto garlic clam pizza is my favorite.
I have to say that this one spot has forever made a place in my heart, childhood, and family and never once have I ever complained of the food, staff, or atmosphere that it had to offer
the food was very good, staff was helpful, and we were even able to watch a game on the tv.
Great place for pizza and beer. The outside sitting area was tranquil and had great views of the leafs changing. Would come back!
Five Stars! Had an absolutely awesome experience at La Prima Pizza! The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. A huge shoutout to our server, Aldo, who was truly amazing—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!
We are camp hosts at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park for three months and needed a quick pizza fix. Would have settled for frozen, but we chose La Prima because it was the closest. What a wonderful surprise, the pizza was great!!
I love the tangy pizza sauce. Also the cheese they use is so good! Fresh and delicious pizza! They let us make our own topping which is great too. We order at least twice a month and day dream about the pizza every day! We order for out but the service is always very courteous.
The first experience was very good. The guy on the counter was kind enough to suggest a few recommendations. It wasn't busy when I went, I have to see how the service would be during busy hours. Nice place to have pizza in the town. A Med. size pizza with 2 beers cost us $40. The table on which we sat wasn't clean properly, not complaining but can be improved. Would definitely go again and recommend others.
If you're in the mood this place is decent.
Had the margarita pizza and it was 8/10. The dining area and porch are lovely! Not a bad spot at all. Friendly staff.
It was great. Easy parking. Not crowded. Good service and great pizza. I recommend it.
Excellent food, good atmosphere, pricing is worth it. They are cool with custom orders, very willing to work with you.
I recently had lunch here and the experience overall was good. The food, the people, the overall maintenance was on point. The only complaint I had were the flies - there were lots of flies buzzing around the restaurant, we were annoyed by them as were the other guests who one party even got a fly swatter (possibly from the restaurant?) and we're attempting to solve the problem themselves.
Food was good but unfortunately they were not serving any of the pasta on the menu. The pizza was ok... Very little sauce to cheese, but will try again considering it's right across the street from an amazing hiking trail.
Nice try but best 1 out of 2 ordered a cheese.. not what I got... disappointing.. not great giving meat to a vegetarian...
Pizza was not good, it tastes very similar to frozen pizza. Service took a very long time even though there were few people dining. Pricey - I was charged $44 (before tax and tip) for a medium pizza and onion rings. Beautiful outdoor dining and easy parking.
Wow, very sad experience. I just moved to Calistoga and was hoping to find an excellent pizza shop with all the old money around here. Apparently that’s all this town has to offer, is food for old boomers. Sad, very disappointing.. When I first walked in I asked to sit at the bar, sat there by myself in an empty “Storage” room full of pizza boxes and unwanted bar stools, waiting 15mins for service from the gentleman at the host stand saying he would be right with me, I finally was able to order a very flat draft beer and personal pepperoni pizza. Pizza bland and dough, taste of flour still coats my mouth, paired with the beer as flat as my mother in law after 3 kids. only other diners were 5 women in their 90s that maybe wanted something to wash their pills down with.. very very disappointed.. All I heard in the background is chatter of the family running the business, no music, no ambience and absolutely no reason to come back.
I felt the price was a bit high despite of the low quality pizzas, because the common pizza brands like Papa Johns or Dominos are a lot more tasty than this place and even cheaper. Outdoor tables are so dusty and not properly maintained.
Only good thing about this experience was that it wasn’t busy. Food has gone down horribly, wings were cold in the inside and warm in the outside making me think that these were probably frozen and just thrown in for a few minutes in the microwave. The dough in the pizza was just too hard; cracker like, almost like if the dough was frozen not fresh. I would say Little Cesar’s has higher quality food. Service was non existence and when I mentioned something to the staff about the pizza, they said they would look into it and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of our time. Was not impressed, do not waste your time.
