Adega Acosta Cambre Reviews
Recomendable.
Delicious food, excellent service, and a charming, super cozy place. The service was top-notch, incredibly professional and attentive, they gave great advice and brought the food out incredibly fast. The portions are very generous, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. The cured beef croquettes were spectacular, the As Travesas octopus was superb, the Angus picanha and the desserts were out of this world... we ordered tiramisu and pistachio mousse. We went back, and everything was fantastic again! The suckling pig croquettes were excellent, as were the monkfish and the croquettes. For dessert, the cheesecake and chocolate cake was out of this world!
This restaurant is the best. They serve the most representative Galician cuisine with sublime quality! The razor clams, clams, octopus in all its forms, and the meats are definitely a 10! Considering how friendly Galicians generally are, they could have been more attentive. It's ideal for groups of four; the portions are large, and it's better to share to try more dishes!
Highly recommended place, very high-quality food. The service is exceptional. They recommend what to eat based on your tastes and quantities, and they are very attentive to make sure everything is just right. The food is delicious, both in quality and preparation. We ordered octopus a feira, which was delicious, and acorn-fed sirloin steak, prepared with sautéed mushrooms, which was exquisite. And for dessert, we had a ten-star beer. Even the pota coffee is good! And the terrace, covered for spring, is amazing, quiet and warm. Definitely a must-have!
One of my favorite restaurants... I'm simply in love with the burrata salad... I haven't had a better salad than this one. The croquettes, the calamari, the desserts... everything is exquisite, well-prepared, with perfectly balanced flavors and top-quality produce. The servers are super friendly and welcoming. I missed the banoffe on my last visit, but I have to say I tried the cheesecake with dulce de leche and walnuts, and it was also spectacular.
A magnificent, traditional restaurant. The staff were truly excellent, attentive, and always willing to help. Their recommendations are definitely worth considering; they're not misleading. The food is top-notch. We had cockles, octopus, and various meats, all perfectly cooked and plentiful. We even wanted to order more, and the waiter let us know we had enough. The house Godello wine was superb. The desserts were delicious.
Excellent! The service is excellent, the staff is super attentive, and the food is exquisite. They have additional dishes off the menu, which adds more variety to the selection, and everything is fresh and delicious. The restaurant has a rustic decor, with wooden benches at large tables. It also has a terrace and outdoor seating. We will definitely return.
It was my first time visiting the place, and the waiter who served us (I forget his name) was super nice. He'll remember my friend who made the dulce de leche and banana cake, haha! We ordered grilled octopus, burrata salad, sautéed shrimp, croca with piquillo peppers, and a variety of croquettes. The desserts were fantastic, and the coffee liqueur is also highly recommended. Everything was super good, we'll definitely be back. Thank you so much 😉
Tasteful typical Spanish food in a nice tavern atmosphere
THE BEST CROQUETTES I'VE EVER EATEN!! In general, everything we ordered was very, very delicious. They offered us a stew skewer while we waited, which was delicious and quite large. The portions are also large, and following the waiter's recommendation, we were able to try a cheesecake with walnuts and cream, which was one of the best, definitely 10/10.
I'm giving it 5 stars because there's no other. I've been going there for several years, and it's still, without a doubt, my favorite place. Everything is delicious, but the meat is out of this world. The pies are from Enza di Piazza. (My favorite: the dulce de leche and walnut one, amazing.) But above all, I want to praise the staff at As Travesas. They couldn't be more charming. It's a pleasure to meet people like that.
This is a cozy place and all the food was delicious.
A charming place with delicious food and a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was good and the place was welcoming. However, we found the prices exorbitant, which is why I can't rate it higher. In fact, I even considered giving it a lower rating, as I think they're too high for the quantity and/or type of food offered. Croquettes for more than €2 each? That's outrageous! We didn't order dessert or another course because of the prices, even though we would have been a bit hungry. What's more, the cheapest wine they have (the local wine) is €12, which I think says it all. The rest was generally good, although they don't serve appetizers with beer, and they charged us for "7 rolls" even though there were five of us. It's a shame for a place that has always been amazing and could be maintained and improved over time. I don't know how it will end up.
The menu is small; you could almost say you have to ask for their suggestions and that's it. The suggestions are handwritten in pen, and it's expensive for what you get. The service is mediocre, like carrying several glasses in your hand... What are trays for? On the plus side, the place is very welcoming and has a quiet atmosphere; you can easily have a conversation and understand each other. Another thing I really didn't like is that the entrance is quite steep, and there's a high-voltage transformer tower right there. I was a guest, but if I had to choose, I'd go somewhere else.
