no notes. always a great vibe every time. drinks are DELICIOUS, bartenders are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome. a guaranteed blast!
We came in as a big group and the bartenders were very quick to serve all of our drinks. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the option variety. They were also able to make us shots outside of the menu which was very appreciated.
Came on a Monday night around 6:30pm, and there was plenty of seating. You can make reservations in advance. My friend Shre chose this spot and it was quiet enough to hear each other without having to talk too loudly. Got the “Stanley Tucci was wrong” and was tipsy off drinking half. Solid drink if you’re a mezcal lover like me.
Fantastic spot, one of the best speakeasy’s in Manhattan! Pretty attentive bar tenders for such a crowded bar and great (expensive) drinks. I recommend going as early as you can, we went around 7:45 and there was no line to get in and we even got a little table after being there a bit. The atmosphere is amazing and everything you expect from this famous spot! By the time we left there was a huge line to get in, going early was the best move!
This speakeasy/bar is a cool spot hidden at the back of a Five Guys. If it weren't for my friend, I would've never known about it. It's not the biggest place, but there are booth and tables for you to chill with friends. Their drinks are pretty solid (my friend and I got their 3AM in K-town and Strawberry Fields (NA)). I also heard that you can order Five Guys and bring it up to this bar?? If that's the case, I'll be sure to do that next time I'm here!
Cool speakeasy vibe bar above 5 guys. The man checking IDs at the bottom of the stairwell was nice, especially when the machine was taking forever to load. It’s best when it is crowded and there was a good choice of music. There’s not a lot of seating and the floor was sticky. Bartenders are super busy so you’ll have to wait a while for drinks but that’s understandable. They have a menu of their cocktails and beers and a good selection on tap.
A real hiding gem. I stop by after enjoying my 5 guys burger. I had a good 2 drinks with a shot, and they were all good. The bartenders recommended a drink after we picked the ones we wanted to try, and we enjoyed them as well . I loved the look of the place it gave me back in the day bar vibes that you can't get anymore. It's very low-key, and I see myself visiting again. My good brother gave it 2 thumbs up.
Cocktails are fine but...maybe I'm too old now hit the music is too loud. Not the chill early afternoon cocktail experience I remember. (One of the perks is that it opens before other cocktail bars in the area)
Man, the music was crazy loud here. I probably hadn't been here since Covid, but my recollection is a chill vibe. People around were literally screaming to be heard over the music. Maybe my memory just isn't what it once was, but definitely not what I was expecting. Bartender seemed like a good guy. This was around 5pm on a Saturday.
This place used to be cool but on a Tuesday night they refused my 72yr old mother entry at 6:30pm because she didn’t have her passport, and she’s disabled so she just needed a place to sit for a bit but instead we had to keep walking in the cold. Also, it was very uncomfortable because the bouncer was watching a sexy dancer on his phone in front of us. Not a great place for women or foreigners - unsafe staff. It didn’t used to be this way, so it’s sad to see a fun place go downhill like this.
Went with a large group of people and used the small, private room they have, squeezing inside the room. One person joined us late, we requested and got a small stool chair from the main bar area. Second person came late, asked for a second stool chair and the first bartender said it was ok but the second bartender stopped me. What do they expect, a single customer to standup while others are seated?? We left after that 1 round of drinks.
We had a reservation for 14 people for a birthday. They texted us every 30 min saying our reservation was postponed and when we showed up they said they had a private event that will be there for the next 2 hours. In short, they double booked themselves and didn’t communicate appropriately. Disappointing.
