Buff's Canyon Reviews
We reside in the DFW metroplex and we met my family’s to eat before headed back home. I can’t say enough good about this place. The food is amazingly delicious, the atmosphere is great and it’s clean! I had the western burger and onion rings. I will definitely have to go again on our next trip.
Fantastic breakfast. Quick and easy phone order picked up at drive thru window. Very friendly service. I loved my Philly Omelette and hash browns. Rest of group were pleased with their burritos and pancakes. Will definitely be back again, hopefully to try burgers at lunch or dinner.
Had the Buffs classic and fried pickles, both were great, very tasty. Large portion sizes and full of flavour. The staff are also attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and laid back
Worth the drive to canyon. We love coming for the best breakfast burritos, chicken wraps, cherry lime aids and the cheese curds. One of our top 10 favorite places to go and eat, highly recommend.
Life saver for some weary travelers. We wanted breakfast foods, and we got breakfast foods. Their breakfast sandwich, served on Texas toast with crispy bacon is totally satisfying. Another ordered one of the bowls and thought it was great. Someone ordered cheese curds, also ridiculously delicious. Great assortment of drinks - unsweeted peach tea with a splash of their coconut tea made me happy. Staff made a fresh pot of coffee for us, too. Love the classic WT photos near the bathrooms. At least 10(?) TVs for your viewing pleasure or make-up-your-own narrative. Definitely recommend and would go back for lunch / dinner.
We placed a very large to go order and Buffs was fantastic from the get go. Everything was super easy, our order was correct, and everything was so delicious!!
Super friendly staff, food was great and insanely well priced. We left happy and full. All the guys working were kind and welcoming. Would absolutely return if I lived in the area!
This restaurant has such a grand selection of food to accommodate every taste and need. Keto options available which made my dining delightful. Clean and relaxed atmosphere. The staff was exceptional with food recommendations and solving our dining arrangements with our fur baby. Hats off to Buff's.
This review is long overdue. This is one of our go-to choices when we're not up to cooking at home. The food and service is always phenomenal, and it wasn't until we received notably bad service at another local restaurant that I realized we took good service for granted.
We ate here after a long hike in the state park. Our burgers were delicious. The guy that took our order was real friendly and gave us some suggestions of other places to go. Great place to eat! We did have trouble finding a parking spot.
What a great little spot!! Man the food was hot and fresh, the burger (mushroom with queso) was superb and my kids loved the fries too! My husband had the Philly (queso on the side) and said the meat was a great cut and tasty awesome. Staff were nice and helpful with our dietary needs. (Lactose intolerant, tomato allergies, small kids, diabetes). Also, the tea was fresh and the bathrooms very clean! Thanks for a great dinner on the road, 10/10 would go back!
Stopped here after a WT campus tour. This place was worth the stop in Canyon. Burgers was made just how I like it, soft buttery bun, fresh veggies, and pattie not over cooked or too thick. Everything was excellent. The absolute best thing was the fried pies. I would highly recommend the peach fries pie. Crisp on the outermost crust and soft throughout, sweetness is in the perfect range, not overbearing or underwhelming, just right.
We enjoyed the breakfast burrito BUT hash browns should be brown, not white. I asked for brown but got white even after the young lady told her mom who I assume is the cook. Tea tasted like it was from the day before. Hard to catch someone at the register when both cashiers are eating and visiting. Wait times for orders were long. I think it’s a nice place and concept but the staff could be more professional and pay attention to the register instead of eating and visiting with each other.
First time here with the family, the service was quick & the food was delicious! Burger of the Month was on a bagel - The waffle for the Chicken & Waffles was so fluffy and buttery with a hint of cinnamon, the chicken strips were actually huge & juicy! My mom got the steak fingers w. onion rings & I really liked them because they were thin and crispy! The cheese curds were the best part. I would love to try again if I'm ever back in Canyon!
It was odd setup. We walked in and thought we had entered the kitchen, but we were right where you ordered. We looked at a laminated menu and ordered. Then we walked though a hall, past the restrooms, and to the dining area. The first table did not look clean, so we chose another. I noticed some exposed wiring, I am no inspector, but I don't think that is code. The place is not real dirty, but could be cleaner. I noticed a sign about cleaning up your table when your done. The bacon burger was actually very good, but the onion rings were greasy and not much flavor. So summary order in the kitchen, walk to the back, seat yourself, pay $12 for a burger, and clean up after yourself.
They got my kids order wrong the first time and then remade it but the hamburger patty was too salty to eat. They also made it and forgot to bring it to us so it sat there getting cold and we had to go ask about it. My hamburger patty was also very undercooked, still very red. We haven’t eaten here in a long time and I’m reminded why.
This place tastes like school cafeteria food and the service is exactly the same. Why pay so much when food reminds me of public school and I have to clean my own table. Gave it a few tries over the years. Apparently they've gotten worse lately but they've always been subpar. Don't waste your hard earned money here, go to Amarillo instead. My favorite place closed down and that used to be the best spot.
I ordered two burritos and two cherry limeades at 10 am thinking they will be ready by the time I get there. I get there at 10:30 and they give me one tiny burrito. I let her know I’m missing the rest of my order and she gives me two cherry limeades that’s it. She then proceeds to tell me that they are really busy right now and that it’ll be 20-30 minutes for one burrito! Paid $16 for half a burrito and two drinks is insane! This is what we are stuck with now our favorite place has closed. Canyon is just going down hill again that we will have to go back to driving to Amarillo for decent food.
