Joe Taco Canyon Reviews
Joe Taco is legit the place for great food, drinks, and service! We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the chips/salsa to the meal and the drinks! Sangria swirl margarita was so good and the Chile relleno was perfect! We'll be back!
Adam gave excellent service and was very friendly and helpful. He recommended the birria tacos, and they were delicious and perfectly cooked. His great service and suggestion made the meal even better.
We absolutely love Joe Taco Canyon! We had our first visit here 2 years ago. It quickly became our favorite restaurant. We have always felt so welcomed. The service has always been great and the food is always amazing! Compared to service we have experienced at other restaurants Joe Taco gets a 10/10! Keep up the good work!
This was my 1st time here and must say, I was impressed. The food was awesome, the people were all friendly and our waitress (Susan) was super cool. This spot will definitely be on the radar on my next visit to Canyon. First impressions last a long time. Susan, thank you for that. This is how good people get job offers ......
I am in LOVE with Joe Taco Canyon!!🤩 Everything we tried was SO amazing! The Violated Chicken might be my new favorite dish ever! Their guacamole is also sometimes of the best I've ever had. It is such a fun atmosphere, and our server was fantastic! You NEED to stop here if you're in the area because it is amazing!🥰☺️
We found this place due to the reviews, and we are so glad we did! I ordered the violated chicken, and it was delicious! Large portion and very flavorful. On the side I ordered a hard taco with Mexican brisket, it was amazing!! My husband ordered the enchilada fajita with "spicy meat" and it was sizzling hot and a large portion as well! He also got a taco with he same meat. Our friend got the chili verde and he said it was very flavorful and he would order it again! We sat outside and the atmosphere was very nice, the service was amazing! If we are ever in Canyon again we would be back, it's definitely cravable!
After a long day of hiking in Palo Duro we were ready to eat. Find this place in downtown Canyon - we are glad we did. They have a patio for dogs - which we needed. Drinks were cheap and good - cold of beers and margaritas for the table along with chips, salsa and gauc . All good to get started - the 4 of us picked something different to eat and loved it all. Be warned that the burrito is for someone with a big appetite - it was huge. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Atmosphere was fun and friendly. We would absolutely go back on our next visit!
The waitress was super knowledgeable about the menu. We went with the fajita chicken taco truck tacos, grilled chicken salad (which was huge), and split the taco tour! That was the best plate we’ve done, it was neat to taste of 6 different tacos & 4 amazing sauces for under $12! We enjoyed them all, but preferred the pulled pork, brisket & skinny chicken ones and the mango salsa! We enjoyed the patio seating & would really like to go back here at night! Great food, great service, clean restrooms!
Update: Had the crispy quesadilla today! Awesome flavor. I had the green chili pork in it. Our server Eric, was great! Enjoy I had the fish tacos. The fish really didn't have flavor but the sauces you put on them made up for it. My husband had the enchiladas and he said the meat was a little bland also but still very good. The chips are awesome. Light and crisp. Waitress was great and the enclosed patio was warm. They serve alcohol here. We will eat here again.
Cool spot we found while staying at Palo Duro Canyon. It was a Sunday so it was kind of quiet. We sat at the bar and got good cold beers. The service was fast and friendly. We ordered the Mexican stir fry and the chicken enchiladas. The portions were a good size. The stir fry was huge and called for a to-go box. The place is bigger than it looks with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a pet friendly area outside too. We will be back here!
Fun little place in the town of Canyon, Texas. Food is pretty good—nothing spectacular, but a solid option if you’re looking for Mexican food. The atmosphere is great, with nice outdoor seating and lots of lights, and the service was excellent. The patio in particular is great for groups with lots of kids.
I was trying to be generous by finding the smallest spoon in my house. $50ish wouldn’t be bad for dinner if they didn’t give you LITERALLY 2 spoonfuls of rice for to go. Plus I woke up with tummy issues which… with not that much seasoning from here I dont even know how. I prolly go somewhere else next time
Order take home for me and my wife. Food quality is not as good as in store. My wife ordered the stuffed avocados and surprised to find that he meal was barely warm and the avocados were gross and brown colored. The kitchen got away with this bc it was take out. Question: Would the preparer eat what he/she served up to this customer? Don’t think we’ll chance take out again from Joe Taco.
The food was mediocre, and way overpriced. My buddy's dish was somehow worse. He got the Mexican brisket street tacos, he said they were pretty dry and chewy. The beans were terrible, and the rice had flavor but was dry. I got the Joe's Big A Burrito, but it's about the quality of a Chipotle burrito. I wasn't impressed, Amarillo has much better Mexican food.
