Absolutely mouth watering, delicious food.. Atmosphere was so warm and inviting, alongside an artificial, but lovely fireplace that set the scene... Staff were amazing from start to finish, could truly not do enough for us. Staff as honourable to there job like this is hard to come across.. Bathroom was clean, well maintained. It is pricey, but you pay for what you get and this lives up to all super standards. Would 💯 recommend this spot for any occasion. Thank you 😊

Had a lovely evening here. Pizza was amazing would highly recommend the "caragh cardiac". Pints of Coors went down just as good. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Will definitely become a regular. The food was delicious (that black pudding salad!), with very generous portions, and the nicest service.

Lovely place, very cozy atmosphere and nice booth seatings close to the bar. I enjoyed the lunch menu and my chicken salad was better than I expected. Definitely recommended. There’s additional parking at the back

The portions are huge, but delicious... we'll definitely go again and it's better to ask about a parking space when booking a table...

Wonderful staff. They were very accommodating to us. The food was delicious with generous amounts. We sat in the cabin area to the rear of the building which was bright, spacious and well decorated. We will definitely return.

Absolutely loved our meal in Cookes , we stopped on our way home from our family holiday and it was the best way to end our trip ! Food was absolutely scrumptious and the staff were excellent , so friendly and efficient! The place itself is immaculate and the outdoor dinning area was beautiful ! We'll definitely be back next time we are in the area 😊

Great place for lunch or dinner. Always quick and friendly service. Food is incredible. It's impossible to come here and leave without getting the poutine fries. Addictive!! We always have an enjoyable meal at Cooke's.

We had a birthday dinner in the Lounge in Cookes. It was just a lovely experience. There were ten of us, including two small children. The booking process over the phone was smooth, and our table was ready for us when we arrived. There was a tv on without sound but when I asked they switched it off straight away. We ordered starters, mains and desserts. Our servers were lovely and efficient, and had a few jokes with our group! We were impressed with the portion sizes. The smoked salmon starter was really good - interesting fried capers were very tasty, and the brown bread was soft and tasty. Fried hake was light and crispy. Chicken wellington was very filling and comfort food style, and the Eton mess for dessert was a great combination of fresh berries and coulis along with a lovely meringue. All in all a lovely visit.

We were looking for a venue close to Naas for a meal after my father’s funeral. Eamon and his team were wonderful, the food was delicious and and it had a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend it.

Booked my son's Christening meal here yesterday for a party of 16 and I can't put into words how brilliant it was. Everything went perfect! Amazing food, creamy pints, great seating (we were in the cabin area) and first class customer service. Frank and the lovely waitresses went above and beyond to make sure we were all well looked after. We have been to Cookes of Caragh a few times before and we will be coming many more times in the future. Can't recommend this place more highly than I do. Frank your an absolute gentleman! Thanks again from Mark & Anna

Cooke’s is the best restaurant around Naas. It’s really reasonably priced. The food is always delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal there. The staff are always so friendly, attentive and can always recommend/describe the different food options. They all seem to be really well trained and provide excellent customer service. Even when they are very busy they always make time for you. The food is always served quickly and you never feel rushed. We usually eat in the gastro lounge but recently had our daughter’s baptism in the Fox and Hare and we were so happy with the day. It’s a perfect location for a family event.

Had an amazing culinary experience at cookes, best part was the 5 star restaurant level service our hostess Holly gave us. Unreal wine recommendation also her in suggesting the Tacherons Pinot Noir 👌👌👌

Fantastic place! The food, service and atmosphere were all perfect. Cozy pub with a nice fire roaring. Delicious food. I had the roast and it was massive and so tasty. My wife has a warm buttermilk chicken salad. Kids liked their chicken and pasta. The host was so gracious and welcoming. He had great rapport with kids and suggestions. Also loved the 60s music floating through the background. Would gladly come again.

We were visiting the Naas area from NYC and discovered this gem. Cosy, warm gastropub with a relaxing atmosphere. The food is to die for! Best chowder I’ve ever had! Burgers are delicious with generous portions. Our children had lots to choose from the kids’ menu. Sausages were a big hit! One of the most memorable meals we had from our trip.

We had our daughter’s Christening lunch in Cooke’s and had a great experience. We were accommodated in The Fox and Hare and it suited our needs very well. The side room was very handy for young children to have a bit of space for playing! Eamon was lovely to deal with over emails & responded promptly to any queries. Our lunch was a set menu, with plenty of choice for everyone. Guests were very happy with the food, portion sizes were very generous and everything was piping hot- not easy with a large group! Thanks to everyone at Cooke’s!

Thoroughly enjoyed a meal here today. The environment was so cosy and inviting, a lot of thought was put into the comfort of the patron. The staff, were friendly and helpful. Special mention for Frank, who was great craic. The food was fresh and came out quickly, this place is a gem.

We've been a few times for different occasions. It's always a really pleasant experience with excellent food and attentive service. The three of us had the roast beef and our toddler had bangers, mash, gravy and veg with jelly and ice cream for dessert. The kids did was really good. Cookes is definitely worth a visit if in the area or just passing by.

First but not last time to visit Cookes..... the food is absolutely gorgeous. We all struggled to choose as the menu sounded so good & nobody from our party of 9 was disappointed. Will be back soon 😊

All the staff are lovely, very much aware of the menu and will be able to offer suggestions if your unsure. The food is excellent. We've been on two occasions now one we were a little more dressed up whilst the second time we were more casual and both are perfectly acceptable. Really lovely place to eat.

Very nice pub food. Chicken wings are some of the nicest Ive had in the Kildare area. Fish and chips lovely and fresh. The only let down was the chicken burger which was just a bit dry and not very tasty but everything else was very enjoyable. Loved the creme brulee too and staff were all very friendly.

Definitely a place I would revisit. The food was very good and the portion size was generous. The service was friendly and they were very helpful. I went for the Sunday roast but would like to try it midweek for dinner.

Beautiful little place and quite busy. I was here before and it was no where like this visit! Dinner was amazing staff also amazing it’s definitely worth a drive for a roast dinner 👌🏻

Had lunch there recently and I was looking forward to trying it out. The menu was short but had a good selection. We ordered the teriyaki chicken wings which I have to say were exceptional. I opted for the roast of the day and my friend ordered the 8oz burger with chips. To say the burger was humongous isn't an exaggeration. My roast beef was nice but I was sorry I didn't try other items on the menu. I will most definitely be back and look forward to going back. Will definitely be back to order the large wings with a few drinks.

4 of us went to Cooke's for lunch, the food choice was really good, they were very accommodating when we were running late and I phoned to move the reservation by 30 mins.. One of our party got the half portion of the roast, looked great, and was really good value for money at €11.00 I had chicken ceaser salad, and it was really tasty. We were in the bar section, have to say the only thing that really annoyed me was the phone behind bar was constantly ringing, i know they were busy, but if you're not answering it turn the volume down it did 11 phone rings before cutting off... hence 4 stars for atmosphere.. Will definitely be back, though, as the staff/food were both excellent

We booked a table for New Year's Eve. It was our first time to visit. The food was excellent and wine selection was good. Service was a little patchy. For us, there was very little atmosphere. Maybe our expectations were off. We would definitely go back and would recommend it.

Really nice food here. We got pizzas, onion rings and truffle Parmesan fries. The onion rings were to die for, some of the best we’ve had. Everything else was so tasty too but the onion rings were the star of the show. Really friendly staff, decent menu selection and good portion sizes. Will be back

Group dinner. Food was average and quite pricey. Best dish was the prawns which were in a top quality olive oil. Restaurant manager took an order asking what the ‘Little Lady’ would like, the little lady being in her 40’s. Later addressed another adult woman as ‘pet’. Bit weird.

Really nice spot for some good. Staff were great , very friendly and sorted out anything that was a miss. Steaks came out over cooked. We replaced one after it was sent back to us to cut a bit deeper into to ensure it wasn’t medium. That was disappointing however it was replaced. But over all nice place, nice afternoon with family.

Ate here over the weekend. Pretty disappointed overall. We were greeted by a heavy smell of bleach when we entered. We were directed to a booth and there was a strong stale smell coming from deep within the upholstery. I'm not particularly sensitive to smells but this was not pleasant. The bathroom smell lingered in the dining area where we sat for the duration of our meal :( There were flies in the dining area aswell which is never a good sign in an establishment serving food. That combined with the other odours, was fairly off putting. Service was erratic - my son's main arrived 10 minutes after everyone else's (pizza - not a complicated dish). Food when it arrived was OK, although my battered fish came in several very un-even looking pieces which were way over-battered and fairly greasy. The fish itself wasn't best quality. Through the meal, 3 different staff members leaned across my food (starter and once for main), 1 making contact with the food itself. 1 of the servers reeked of cigarette smoke. Not a big deal but tells you a lot about the experience / training of the staff. Our table wasn't cleared for over 20 minutes after finishing our main. Maybe this was an off day for the place as other reviews seem good. But for me, at over €150 for 2 adults and 2 young teenagers, this spot needs to seriously up their service, hygiene and food game to warrant those prices. I won't be returning after what was a very below average all round experience for that price.

Avoid with food allergies/ intolerance/ vegan or vegetarian. Booked in to the restaurant for dinner with three kids. One of our party has egg and nut allergies. The menu now states they cannot guarantee no cross contamination in their dishes. We have eaten here previously and this was never an issue before. Chef stated it can’t be guaranteed as there is contamination in the kitchen with all dishes, they would do their best but there could be traces of the allergens in the dish “if that’s an issue”?! .. for a food allergy! Not sure if they understand fully the difference of an allergy an and intolerance. We ended up leaving. Very disappointing, previously enjoyed our experiences in this restaurant
