Siam Elephant Thai Cuisine Carpinteria Reviews
Top Thai restaurants in SoCal. I have been coming here for years. The green papaya salad is a must, fresh, spicy, sweet, tangy, crunchy. Pad see eiw, the noodles are stir fried to perfection and nicely charred, broccoli is juicy, savory and flavorful. Yellow curry with potato’s, onion and carrot is like home cooking, an earthy curry with bold yet balanced flavors and rich in spices. And lastly, you must save space for mango sticky rice pudding! Mango is perfectly ripe and juicy, the sticky rice is hot and deliciously sweet with condensed milk on top. If you are ever in Carpinteria you must stop at this gem! It’s such a special place, whoever is throwing down in the kitchen is an absolute top chef.
Will come again and again. The panang curry was good…and pad prik tai dam was also good. The combination meal with fried egg rolls, gyoza and something else was excellent. The tom kha soup was alright…too much coconut milk…prefer more spices in the soup. But all in all the whole meal was very pleasant. The food is prepared shockingly quick and service is impeccable.
Perfect day for Siam, great Carp weather, patio dining. I ordered the (spicy)panang curry w/rice, salad and veggie roll, shrimp, and dumplin. It was delicious!🤤 The salad was the only weak-link. I was expecting the peanut sauce dressing vs. the mayonnaise looking dressing I got. I'll ask for it next time. The service was super attentive to all customers. Talking with everyone, snapping photos, water refills, bussing tables, all go, no quit! Patio area has two large Thai-style tables on elevated platform (pictured).
Such a gem of a spot in the heart of Carpinteria Beach! Short walk from beach and main drag. Been here for years and looks to be thriving with takeout and dine in (great patio as well) . Service was quick and friendly. Lots of options and vegetarian options were plentiful! Our party had the chow main with tofu, the fresh veggie rolls, the coconut shrimp, and the walnut chicken, and the spicey basil tofu (see pics!)
This is our first time here, and we came based on a recommendation from a local friend. The pad Thai was excellent, and we also enjoyed the fresh spring rolls and chicken satay. We finished with the delightful mango sticky rice, making for a well-balanced meal. There's outdoor seating where kids can relax, and the fresh air and breeze were fantastic! I highly recommend this place!amazing service too!
Food was awesome, service was attentive! We had the fresh rolls which were pretty good, Tom kha soup which was amazing (full of chicken and veggies) and the pad Thai which was also very good. I’d order the pad Thai and soup again. I’ve had better fresh rolls; the ratio of shrimp to mint/lettuce was off-needed more or bigger shrimp and less mint/lettuce. We couldn’t finish it all so we could have had just had the soup or rolls and the pad Thai. I highly recommend Siam!
Love the set menu as pictured here and the special menu we ordered as takeouts. Definitely gonna have to come back 😋🤤 อร่อยมากจ้า
We made a quick stop on our way back to LA and it’s one of the good decision. The Thai fried rice is very delicious, chicken satay has a very tasty peanut sauce, pad seew is a bit too soft for me but my kids love it that way, and they have yummy mango sticky rice for desert.
One of the best Thai food experience here. Staff are very welcoming. They have limited seating capacity so better you call to book. Parking you can find road side. More details ~ @0abhishekghosh0
We felt that we had died and gone to heaven. My husband said he enjoyed every bite! He asked for a little more heat in his dish and it didn't disappoint. His Mexican palette was saying, "¡Está comida está chingona!" That means it was super friggin' good 👍 The food is amazing. My favorite Thai dish is Massamam Curry. I picked up a few different flavors, like cardamom, which traditionally isn't used in this dish, but it was fantastic. I also ordered the Tom Kha Soup. OMG, it was amazing. Carpinteria is a small town, but if you love Thai food and are passing through, give it a try. The staff are friendly, very friendly and you can tell that they have developed a great relationship with the locals.
Absolutely exceeded our expectations we all had an excellent experience can't wait to go back for the "Tom Yum" soup
the waiter was super friendly and understanding on my vegan diet. I had the pad tai without egg and it was delicious. cute outside patio and umbrellas for shade. this was a great place and would definitely come again. very relaxing and laid back.
Siam Elephant is one of the best Thai places in Carpinteria. The owners here are extremely friendly and their cooking techniques definitely reflect their strong Thai cooking background. Although the flavors may not a hundred percent resemble the ones in Thailand, the technique is there, resulting in the flavors being very aromatic in some of their specialized dishes like their Pad See Eew, Penang Curry, and Chicken Satay.
Basil fried rice and shrimp combo with soup were tasty and filling. Great value for money. Loved the ambience too.
I am a Thai person travelling in the USA and had lunch here. It is a wow to taste the food. It seems like coming home and guaranteeing this is the authentic food they provided me.
Amazing delicious food. Every dish we order, it is always full of flavor. Second time here and it's now a must to eat at with each Carpinteria visit. Delicious!
Yea buddy, this is the best place for food in town... The portions are generous and if you get a combo you will leave stuffed. Service is good and the patio is nice. They are super accommodating to vegans and vegetarians which is a plus and they know what is or is not vegan. Went here two nights in a row, it was that good! Highly recommend the eggplant basil dish.

Fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious, service was quick, friendly, and efficient, and the ambiance was lovely. My mother and I both got the combo special, which is a lot of food at a fantastic price. We chose the soup option, Tom Kha, and YUM!! It was rich and flavorful. For our entrees, Mom got her favorite, Pad Thai, which was flavorful and came with a generous helping of roasted peanuts - so many places skimp on that. I got... I can't remember what they called it 😅 but it was flat noodles with Thai basil, bamboo shoots, onion, and bell pepper. I chose to have it with beef. It was PERFECT. A little bit of spice, just right. The portions of entrees were generous, easily 2-3 meals for small eaters like us. It also came with one of three appetizers each, which was delightful. I definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning again and trying more dishes - absolutely everything looked devine!
Awesome place for lunch especially (weekday lunch special is a great deal, lots of food for an affordable price). The staff were so nice, and had clear answers about vegan options for me. Food was delicious.

We had a wonderful experience here! The food was so delicious I didn't even take a photo. I had the special with cashew nuts with tofu (so it came with rice, soup, and appetizers) and Thai tea with coconut milk (so there was an option to make it dairy free), and my partner had spicy fried noodles with Thai tea and boba. The service was excellent and we were able to sit outside with our dog. They even brought him a water bowl and kept it filled! We would absolutely recommend this place and can't wait to come back!
