Carrburritos Carrboro Reviews
There is indoor and outdoor seating, and parking is very limited. The food is great; burritos come with chips and salsas of your choice. Indoors is usually busy and somewhat noisy whereas outdoor is pretty quiet.
A real gem, make it there. Real value, great taste, could eat a gallon of the queso! We had a variety of chicken and veggie burritos and quesadillas, will definitely go back.
this is an awesome little place with very fresh and yum food. i enjoyed the quesadillas and salsa and chips and it all. would return.
The price was great for the amount of premium quality food you got. I had nachos and the meat was so juicy I couldnt't find anything else to compare it with. They had a great selection of sodas too. Definitely some of the best Mexican food I've ever had.
I'm not in Carrboro very often, so it had been a while since I visited Carrburritos. I've always enjoyed their food and I had a really good chicken quesadilla. I thought the chicken was especially good, and they have some great salsas. A good excuse to lunch in Carrboro more often.
Really good, fresh food. They are very popular and get very busy. Good, quick service. Great atmosphere. The chips are a mix of corn and what tastes like pita chips. There are about 6 different types of salsa to choose from. They offer soda, juice, beer, and margaritas.
Great place. Food was tasty! Very nice staff. I had the Tostado and queso dip with chips. The flavor was great. I would have missed the place walking down the sidewalk but the sign was above my head on the sidewalk and a sign at the door that says EAT. It is a very cutely decorated place.
This place is so good! First, lemme say that they have a few parking spots by the door if you’re lucky. The burritos here are mondo huge. I got a mejor chorizo burrito and I was stuffed! It was really really really good. The queso is excellently spiced and isn’t bland at all. I was surprised by the chips - it’s the typical corn chip but there are also a few chips that taste like empanada breading that’s been deep fried. They taste like pita but are so much more. It’s been hard to find a good cheap burrito spot in the triangle, but believe me - this place fits the bill.
The bill was ridiculous. $70 for just 4 people?? Worth. Every. Penny. I need more of those homemade flour chips 🙌🏼 yummy burritos too
It’s been just about 19 years since I first ate here, and is by Phar the best burrito place in Central NC (please don’t make me compare to FABB in Wilmingwood 🤙 😎). Anyway, you really can’t find better food and the people who work there show it! I can’t come to the area and come back home if I don’t have food for my family😂.
Phenomenal food as always! Our order got lost which is unusual and they made it right. Still a little disappointing to wait longer than needed. But honestly once out of how many times I've been is above and beyond! Definitely recommend, best burritos I've ever had!
Still untouchable after all these years. Best burritos… Best quesadillas… Best salsa And the absolute best chips You can’t go wrong with this place.
I have been coming here for years. As usual the food was perfect today, the dining room clean, pleasant, and staff so friendly. I love this place. I really appreciate the effort they put in to be consistently awesome. Thanks.
Español: ¡Que fresco! Me encanta la gente y cómo son muy simpáticas. Además hacen todo con mucho cuidado, especialmente si tienes alergia o restricciones de su dieta. English: I love how fresh the food is. The employees I've met there are all extremely friendly and even take extra care to ensure your allergy and diet restrictions are met.
Muy buena comida, la atención excelente y rápidos
Los burritos en este lugar son buenos y de buen tamaño.
Me gusto mucho
The Stella (a virgin pineapple-jalapeno margarita with a Tajin rim) was so delicious! It's hard to find a virgin margarita that Is layered and complex and doesn't just taste like limeade. This was so flavorful and spicy! Unfortunately, the food was not. I've been here twice (with several years in between visits) and both times, the food was so plain. It just felt like the flavor volume was turned way down, even on the chips. The salsas were good but they didn't make up for the lack of flavor in my pollo asada burrito, sadly.
Was excited to try this spot after all the hype from coworkers but was a bit disappointed. The food lacks flavor. Guac is good but the chicken is bland. American Mexican for sure
Disappointed in this restaurant that was such a staple during my training at UNC. Since moving back I hadn't been and since I needed a quick meal one night I gave it a try. Ther parking lot is small, but there is public parking across the street also. The service was fast, but for the quality of food which had declined since I last ate here I thunk there are many other places serving up large burritos that are fresher and tastier. It's also a bit out of my way so although it's ok I'm probably not going to be eating here so much in the future.
This place has a nice ambience and great customer service. I also felt their drinks were good and reasonably priced. The prices are on the higher end for burritos, but I know they pay their employees well, so I don't think that is an issue. That being said, I would not recommend coming here if you are looking for actually authentic California-style burritos. My partner and I recently relocated from California after living there our whole lives, and were excited to try this place out since it was advertised as California-style and had good reviews. However, they did not grill the tortillas here before making the burritos, they did not include the salsa inside the burrito, the guacamole was underseasoned, and they do not have refried beans available. Also, their chips are too thick and resemble more of a cracker than a tortilla chip in my opinion. We got the salsa verde and habanero salsa on the side, added it to the burritos, and still found the food to be bland. Some people might prefer their burritos and chips this way and that is totally okay! But it is not California style, so I thought I would leave this review so people would understand what the burritos and chips are actually like. The building itself somewhat resembles an actual CA-style taqueria, but the burritos are not. If you like your burritos and chips in the style described, I would recommend going here because everything else about this place is good! That being said, I will probably not be returning, and I do think there are other places in Chapel Hill with more authentic burritos if that is what you are looking for.
Food was a letdown. None of the salsas had any flavor. You can probably get a better tasting burrito at Taco Bell. The serving portions are large though, so that’s a bonus
Nothing to do with the food and everything to do the customer service. My second experience there today, I called over the phone to order two burrito bowls for pickup. I told the girl over the phone that I wanted two bowls with Mexican rice, salsa and all the stuff that’s supposed to be included in there. My husband goes to pickup the food and when he gets home we see that the food that was given to us was just beans, lettuce, and chicken. There was no rice or anything else. We drive back to the restaurant and I inform the cashier that my both of our burrito bowls only have beans, lettuce and chicken. I also didn’t get a salsa for the chips that comes with it. I tell the cashier that they need to remake it because my food is cold at this point. She says yeah they will remake it. They didn’t even remake it because they hand me back the food 2 seconds later and it is still cold. There was no way it would’ve been remade already. So really all they did was add the missing ingredients on top of my cold food. They also tell me that I need to pay $2 additional dollars for what they’re adding even though I told them over the phone what I wanted and it was their mistake in the first place. So I pay for it, get our food and leave. Upon checking the food again in the car I see that the rice is still missing. Of course it is because they didn’t bother to remake it. Just complete carelessness on their part.We drive back there again and I tell the cashier the rice is still not in there. They then went ahead and gave me two small containers of rice which was half the amount of rice I would’ve gotten had it been made right. The LEAST they could’ve done was remake it for all this inconvenience. Just horrible customer service overall
Stood in line to order and when paying by credit card, the tip options start at 18%. You are expected to clear your table after your meal- all your dishes and trash. Not a place for families with children, and we didn't make a mess. We left over $20 tip at the register and there were are no signs telling you to clear your table. When I went to the car with my 3 kids, a worker asked my husband to clear the table. We won't be back. This restaurant is basically self-service so they need to fix their tip options. Percentages are too high for the level of service. Tipping has gotten out of control, with pressure to tip in more places and for less service. Margaritas were great and food was decent but that's about it.
Mal servicio de los trabajadores, no nos dieron salsas, fuimos a pedirlas y nos dijeron que la comida no tenía salsa por lo que si queríamos teníamos que comprar aparte y pues nos decepcionó.
