City Bus Burritos and Tacos Carrboro Reviews
Me and my D1 baddie Catlin ate some badass comida here. There were lots of basic locals walking to boring restaurants, however we decided to make a last minute turn into a parking lot (reverse parked) and get tacos here. It was even raining but we ate outside because neither of us were afraid. Food was great, got pics, $30 for two with taxes and 20% tip
This dude has been slinging excellent late night food since I was in high school 10 years ago
Awesome food, nice people, 100 on their sani score and as good as they were when I'd stop by years ago! Def check it out!
hands down, the only place to eat after a concert at Cats Cradle. Carne Asada City Bus Burrito is the closest i have had to a Cotijas burrito in San Diego, which is the standard. Will give this food bus my money every time, with no hesitation. absolutely excellent.
Ordered pollo, pastor, and asada tacos with added pickled onions and red salsa! The filling was so generous and tender and I am a huge pickled onion fan. Notably, they don't come topped with onion, but rather, a few grilled pieces on the side. Lime is juicy and not dry. A note about timing- they arrived around 7:15 to the parking lot and were open a little later. I also thought that the price labelling was sort of sporadic.
This place will hook it up every time can’t go wrong with filling and they’ve got those 2018 high value taco truck prices
Love this place for awesome potion sizes and late night vibes. Pictured are 2 “small burritos” and 1 “super chicken burrito”. Thank you for the hook up!
First time here last night after a concert at Cats Cradle, everything else was closed in that area for food. Service was nice and quick....but the food 😭was even better! I hate I live almost two hours away. I will be dreaming about that barbacoa quesadilla for the rest of the weekend. I can't wait to come back that way and try again.
I go about every 10 days and it’s always amazing. They have the best carnitas tacos and all around the best value tacos in chapel hill! Also the owner is so nice and really cares about the customers!
One of the best burritos in a town with tons of competition - super fresh ingredients, plenty of options, and they do a great job with alterations / dietary restrictions. Make sure you get the hot sauce - they’ll warn you that it’s spicy and that’s no lie.
Absolutely delicious Chapel Hill taco truck perfect for late-night eats. The prices are amazing and everything I've tried from this taco truck is phenomenal. I'd definitely recommend any of the many taco offerings (pastor and carnitas are my fav) as well as a papusa or two.
Nice people, good tacos. Looking forward to trying breakfast burrito now that I know it exists. Will update soon… Update: I went back that same night for dinner and then the next day for lunch again. Got the #4 breakfast burrito the second time I went (the bacon one). Wasn’t as good as I expected it to be, probably should’ve gone with the #5 (the chorizo one). Tacos haven’t done me wrong yet. Will give breakfast burrito another chance someday.
Y’all ain’t even know how much money I’ve spent on the #5 breakfast burrito 🌯 at City Bus 🚎 (currently known as Taco King USA 🚌, until he gets his other bus fixed up). The location is in the parking lot right in front of Carolina Detail place. Mac or Emilio, the owner of the bus handles the monetary transactions while his wife does the cooking. He sells a variety of tacos, burritos, tortas, drinks, etc. I cannot talk enough about the #5 breakfast burrito which contains chorizo (Mexican sausage), bacon, eggs 🍳, rice 🍚, and beans. Get that green sauce too. Ughh. 🤤🤤 PS. He is consistently closed on Mondays, but is typically there everyday from 8PM-2AM (even though his hours state otherwise). He is sometimes closed on certain days when he has catering events, although there is no social media coverage when he’s not gonna be there 😡. I’m still addicted to his food though.
Food was terrible only got 2 bites of beef the rest was fat eww eight thumbs down 🪨
Absolutely the worst asada taco I have ever had diddnt even swallow one bite just trash went straight to the dog
