Dami Carrollton Reviews
We got here at 6pm on a Sunday and there were still a lot of open tables. Sad because this place is actually pretty good. The service was immaculate throughout. We had a large group and requested one of the private rooms and they briefly cleaned a room for us. Sami does it right from the start. They served us nine dishes of banchan. Their naeng myun dishes (cold noodles) and their pork rib are really tasty. Portions are good for the amount you pay. Give them a shot if you haven’t already!
Came here on a recommendation of a friend and we were so glad we did! It’s a hidden gem tucked away in a corner. It wasn’t at all crowded when we arrived on a Friday evening. We were seated immediately by a kind lady who brought us glasses and a water pitcher. We then ordered tteoboki, bibimbap and galbi. It was all so yummy! The dishes were flavorful and not overwhelmingly sweet or salty. Very well-balanced. Tteokoki had some spice but not too spicy. They had a variety of side dishes and I especially love the kimchi here. We were given a warm broth to drink too, which we drank at the end of our meal. Overall, it’s a must-try and we will be back to try the other dishes! 아주 맛있습니다!
Large portions and food is so tasty! The donkatsu/pork cutlet was very delicious and actually made right. Normally other restaurants pork cutlet would be very dry but theirs are so fresh with the sauce too! Everything came out pretty quickly as well. Was definitely worth the hour drive to this place.
Dami Korean Restaurant exceeded all my expectations! The cold-noodle dish was a refreshing and flavorful delight, perfect for a hot summer day. And the Korean Short Rib BBQ was an absolute showstopper - tender, juicy, and bursting with authentic Korean flavors. The combination of these two dishes made for an unforgettable dining experience. If you're a fan of Korean cuisine, Dami is a must-visit destination!
The best Korean food I’ve had in quite some time! I came in about an hour before closing and Kimberly didn’t treat me like they were in a hurry to close. The food was amazing! I enjoyed the sides more than I did the main course 🤣😊 Very clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to go back.
The food and service were amazing as first time visitors! Easy to order and the food was perfect! We ordered the galbi and seoltang soup which tasted fresh and delicious
Their food is so good. I love the beef broth that they serve for free for every meal. Their portion size is really big too. Oh and don't forget their side dishes which are great as well, you'll get a very balanced and healthy meal here with all the fiber-rich veggies and pro-biotics fermented side dishes that come with every table. Why take your daily vitamins when you can just eat here 🤷. I've been coming here almost every week!! Highly recommended!!!!
Went for dinner with a group 4 and ordered the seafood pancake, galbi jjim, and two tofu soups. Overall, really great food. The quality and amount of food given was great (seafood pancake had good amount of seafood, galbi jjim came with a lot of meat, etc.). We accidentally came an hour before closing, but the waitress was still very polite with us.
I decided to give Dami another chance, i went on Sunday. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi, and it was perfect. It came piled high on a hot plate. The side dishes complimented the main perfectly and we asked for seconds. The service was great, and the waitress was attentive and refilled our items promptly. It was a perfect experience. Food and atmosphere were always great, but today service was above and beyond.
Once I saw this place sells spicy pork Bulgogi, I was determined to try it and...heck... it did not disappoint! We started with a soup and spicy pork Bulgogi but we WILL return because our soup, food selections and complimentary sides were super delicious! Only thing I wanted more of was ... water refills 😬 but that didn't break our selection.
You’ll get complimentary hot soup. It’s delicious. Service is always great. They are very generous with the side dishes. Food is amazing! I don’t like the cold noodle though.
Fantastic food! I loved the broth and the kimchi is really fresh and tasty. Seafood pancake is huge and delicious. I highly recommend Dami!
OMG IT'S SOOOOO GOOOOD. My wife is much more FOB and much more Korean foodie than I am. My mother-in-law owned and operated a galbi bbq restaurant back in Korea so our family knows if food is authentic and made with the correct ingredients. We usually don't have much high expectations with Korean restaurants and there are only one or two Korean restaurants in North Texas area that we approve. However, Oh man, Dami was on-point. It was super busy when we dined in so servers were busy and we were okay with that because food was just so good. Not lying, cold noodle tasted better than Korea.

My family and I always enjoy going here for Korean. The owner is always polite and the food is delicious! Banchan is plentiful and the hot soup broth is always comforting! Everything here is worth trying! We will continue to support this restaurant!

Came for lunch on a Friday at around 2pm. Place was empty except for us. They gave 8 side dishes which is more than other restaurants. Ordered seafood tofu soup (8/10) and spicy pork bulgogi (8/10). Food was good overall but on a bit pricier than similar restaurants in Carrollton.
We arrived about 10 minutes prior to opening time yet there was a line. And I see why. Other than the spicy cold noodle, everything elses tasted so authentic. All of us enjoyed every food we ordered. Definitely would go back.

Came twice, the first time had both great service and food, the second time left me slightly perplexed. After a simply but satisfying dinner here a month ago, I returned looking forward to another great experience. As usual, portion sizes were huge and I wanted to take my leftovers to go. This time, one of the staff (seemed like the owner or someone in a managerial position) told me that they don’t usually let customers pack the side dishes/banchan to go, citing supposed food safety concerns that some dishes go bad easily. However in my experience, family style restaurants like these have always included side dishes when I was doing takeout/delivery so I commented that to her, to which she agreed that yes they do pack side dishes in that scenario. I began to wonder whether she might be getting disgruntled that I was packing the side dishes which were customarily provided free flow as part of the sit down meal—however I had not asked for any top ups myself since the single portions were more than ample and I could not even finish half of the portion. I reassured the staff that I had not asked for any additional servings of the side dishes I was packing to go, and that these had come as a first serving with my meal, so I did not understand what the issue was. She continued to reiterate her concerns about food safety to which I was not sufficiently convinced was the root issue since I had received side dishes multiple times when doing takeout. Ultimately I got to take my leftovers to go but I got the sense that she was signalling that she would not let me do so in future. A little uncomfortable with the encounter and I was initially looking forward to coming here more often but now I’m not so sure.. To be clear the food tastes just fine.
One of best cold noodle and Korean cuisine. HOWEVER super poor food prep. time and serving management. (Staffs were kind of course but all they there hectic so must be trained with professional ways) Food quality and quantity were great. I had to wait for 30 mins to receive all of my dishes that I ordered.
Speed of service was lacking, food was good. We were seated and sat there for 15 minutes before anybody came by to take our order. When you're hungry, it can feel like a long time. We had to flag down a staff member! They're severely understaffed. You can tell by the chaos and we personally witnessed two parties leave due to dissatisfaction. Nonetheless, the staff was nice and friendly. Ordered the Baby Octopus Dolpan Bibimbap. It was good. Great portion and presentation. The kitchen got it out very quickly. The side dishes, banchan, were quite delicious. Do not come here hungry and give yourself extra time.
The restaurant was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Decent Korean food... I had seafood pancake (파전), BBQ ribs (BBQ pork and beef), and cold noodle soup (냉면). I can't really say anything other than they were ok. I would prefer 고려갈비 for the better Korean BBq. The seafood pancake is so bland to my taste. The broth in the cold noodle was different, and I was not a fan. I would not recommend this restaurant 😐.
