Benny's Tacos Castle-Hills Reviews
Ordered a breakfast burrito this morning and was surprised with how big the burrito was! It was super fresh and delicious 🤤 I got the steak and egg burrito and added avocado! The red sauce was a good kick and spiced it up. This can be delivered via Postmates! Will definitely be trying the other items next time! It’s a bit pricey, but it’s huge so def can be shared between 2 people!
Best breakfast burrito in LA, hands down. I’ve been on the hunt for the best breakfast burrito in LA/OC. This place is it. Beats out flookys and Malibu country kitchen and every other taco shop I’ve tried. It’s huge, can easily split for two people. Both the red and green salsa is good, and unique from anywhere else. Carnitas is also super good, always juicy.
Amazing food with amazing workers! Would definitely recommend this place! I’m truly Mexican/Guatemalan and only don’t in authentic places but this place gives your the great tastes of Mexican food and the tortillas omg let me tell you, you can smell it from the parking lot!
this place does take a little while to finish your food, but the 10ish minutes wait is so worth it!! there is parking on site though it gets hard to park on the weekends, but these are the best fish tacos around, fried or grilled, plus they pack chips and salsa with every order and there’s also plenty of salsa if you ask for more. the people working here are always friendly and attentive, even when there’s a line they get through it pretty fast. my favorite spot in town!!
I order from this FABULOUS place at least twice a month for my Saturday event. mY people and I love this food.. always freshly cooked , hot , delicious, authentic Mexican food and ready at time of pickup... the staff is AMAZING 👏! 10/10!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND...
Benny’s Tacos is a staple for all of Westchester and for LA in general. The Staff is always very nice, and the food is always top tier quality. I recommend the chicken tacos always. Even though it has a long wait sometimes, It is always worth it!
Never a bad time at Benny's. Good food. Reasonable prices. Good service. The only downsides? Limited parking and no bathrooms.
We had 3 different dinners Beef burrito, fish and shrimp tacos, and chicken tacos. OMG. So flavorful and can clean flavors. The taste is always fresh. I live next door. They all really care about the neighborhood and keep is really clean out back. The staff and manager are so nice. We sat at a table outside Really fun d school neighborhood feel.
Good Mexican food, very filling and a good price!
Talk about being instant fans of a restaurant! We stopped by Benny's on our recent trip to Los Angeles and WOW, what a treat! This is a hole in the wall place with decent parking available. They do have a few tables inside and some outdoor seating too. When we got there, they were working on a LARGE takeout order, but that did not impede them getting to our order on time :) We ordered a few dishes and all of the dishes were really good! Quantity was decent too and the family enjoyed our meal here. So much so that we were back again for more of their good stuff! Huevos Rancheros Breakfast Quesadilla Breakfast Burrito Guacamole and Chips Service was very friendly and efficient too. A great place for decent food :)
I found this place open on 4th of July. Went back the following weekend. My wife and I are impressed by this place. The customer service is good here. The steak and shrimp fajitas are delicious. My wife tried the south western salad, she absolutely loved it. The Chicken here is also really enjoyable. The black beans, rice and tortillas are fire. I absolutely 💯 recommend eating here. I can't wait to try more stuff on the menu. I think we found a spot where we will hit up almost every weekend. Thank you, my guys!!!
SEASONED FRIES ARE NO MORE!!! beware Ordering the fries based on previous pictures. They now are these; tasteless garbage fries that have the flavor of a piece of 40 weight paper. They don't hold up to the standards of the rest of the menu. I was shocked to receive them on my delivery. Called in, and even the employees there told me they feel the same way. Not having it. BRING BACK THE SEASONED FRIES.
First time here and delicious 😋. We tried the El pastor Taco ,El pastor was cooked very well it had great a flavor. The carne asada taco was also great. The ground beef taco have to say it was really delicious. I also tried the Chipotle chicken taco a lot of flavor. The tortillas is what makes the taco. Last but not least, I try to choodle and my goodness it was good. It has like a vanilla kind of pudding but it's not overpowering. It's just right. Will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu. The staff is very friendly.
I came across Benny's Tacos, while delivering for Doordash. So many of my customers raved about the food. After a year of picking up from here, I finally tried Benny's. 😋 I Highly recommend this place even, if you are in town for the day. 🌍🛬 Yummy Food Amazing people Organized These guys will take care of you. 🙂
We hosted our school fundraiser at Bunnies Tacos and Rotisserie Chicken, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was great, and everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves. I had the shredded beef burrito, and it was absolutely delicious super flavorful and satisfying. Honestly, everything I’ve tried here has been amazing. Huge thanks to the team for helping make our event a success. Highly recommend!
After my wallpaper business meeting, I stopped by for a quick bite - what a great decision! Their tacos are incredible (I devoured 4 different kinds!). Small but packed with flavor. The horchata was the perfect refreshing touch. Ideal fuel for my busy day - 5-star quick meal!
So many great options across LA for Mexican food but Benny's is the place I consistently return to visit after visit. What's not to like? Consistently excellent rotisserie chicken to have on its own or that gets into the Mexican dishes. Fresh flavorful tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. Excellent sauces and side condiments. Delicious Mexican juices. Clean large outdoor patio area. Today the choice for me were green chicken enchiladas. So delicious. I will be back again (as usual)! My friends had tacos and quesadillas. We all left happy.
I tried to take a picture of my food, but it was too good. I accidentally ate it all first. 😂 I got some chicken tacos, my aunt got shrimp and beef ones. We shared a (HUGE!) plate of chips and salsa, not realizing that our tacos would come with them. Food was reasonably priced, incredibly flavorful, and super fast. I'm nowhere near being a local, but next time I'm in town I'm making a beeline straight from the airport back here!!!!
Alot of the items on the menu are quite expensive! 1 taco is almost $4 .. so I had to try a burrito, I tried the surf and turf burrito, most expensive one on their burrito menu... I have to say, it was very delicious!.. (it consist of shrimp and steak, Caramelized onions-poblano peppers, Jack cheese and chimichurru cream) it had maximum flavor.. only reason why I'm giving it a 5 star.. but I feel if I had anything else.. this place is pretty accurate at a 4.4 star.. little wait time Is expected after ordering. Plenty of seating at the restaurant. Would recommend trying
Best breakfast burrito I have ever had! If I lived in LA, this would be my go to spot! Will definitely be making this a regular stop every time I visit!
My daughter Jasmines last official meal before she flys back home to Nashville Tennessee ! Thank God we found this place do close to airport ! My daughter and I are sharing the Benny's nachos and the grilled vegetable tacos very delicious yummy
We were visiting our daughter, a student at LMU. We became hungry, and she recommended one of her favorite go-to spots, Benny’s Tacos. We had never been there. But, we are so glad we did. The food was so delicious. Saul, our host, welcomed us and was patient, customizing our orders. He later checked on us regarding our food. We loved everything, and the prices and atmosphere were cool. We highly recommend Benny’s Tacos.
Benny's gets better every time. I usually pickup for home dinners. The presentation is beautiful and amount of food is enough for two days. The quality of the food is superior. However, you should check your order before leaving. Sometimes when it is super busy, condiments are omitted. However, the manager compensates for the error.
The employees at Bennys are absolutely incredible!! A woman was impatient in front of me and demanding free food. The response she was given was warm and compassionate!!!! These employees should be treated with kindness.
While attempting to eat my way through every taco shop in LA on a random vaca I ended up at Benny's Tacos. The vibe was right and the tacos were delicious. I got an assortment of flavors and loved every bite. There's plenty of amazing tacos throughout the city but Benny's Tacos is worth a special trip if you've never been before.
Recently visited the Benny’s Tacos location near LMU in Los Angeles for the first time and my life has been forever changed. Being from the Bay Area (San Francisco) I’ve never experienced Benny’s Tacos before. Now, let me start by saying that though Benny’s looks unassuming, the food is INCREDIBLE. The food was made fresh to order, not frozen or pre-made. The quality of the food is what is driving my five (5) star rating. The quality of the food is high and the taste is incredible. I ordered the carane asada (steak - excuse my misspelling) quesadilla and it was so amazing (see pictures). All orders came with chips, guacamole, and sour cream. Every Mexican restaurant should strive to be like Benny’s! Now, let me talk about the very helpful staff. They were friendly, helpful, and kind. If you are EVER near a Benny’s Tacos, you HAVE to try it. I can’t wait to eat there again. Lastly, be sure to check in on Yelp because you’ll get a 10% discount.
no longer offer restroom to customers update: Thanks for the update, It would be great if this was communicate to us on the time visit. FYI the way your employee tell us there is no restroom is very rude. He just told me "we do not have restroom" which sounds quite like he did not wants me to use the restroom.
The carne asada nachos were so flavorful. They give a lot of toppings which is great so there are still ingredients left when you get to the bottom layer of nachos. I shared this with friends bc the portion was so big. The horchata is sweet with a cinnamon kick. If you like sweet drinks, I highly recommend it. The churros were a miss for me. They tasted stale and not fresh.
I ordered the asada dinner plate w/ pinto bean's and corn tortilla's. The meal came with chips, salsa and a small salsa size guacamole.. The asada was cooked to perfection. I will say it was different than any other carne asada I have ordered or cooked before. The meat was seasoned just right, the tortilla's were just made.. The rice and beans were very tasty.. over all it got 4 stars.. only 4 because I got am horchata and it was not the best. But everything else was yummy. Definitely will be going back soon
Good food n clean place. Great service! I loved the chips and salsa they give you with your burritos. I had the bacon and eggs burrito with everything on it. Lots of options to choose from. Can't wait to go back. The area was nice too, nice to walk n take pics. Follow monsterjam_junior on IG for more great pics
Recommend stopping into this place and enjoying a meal or takeaway. This place was busy the whole time while eating here. Staff helped out with choices and food came out fresh to order. Some parking behind the place is available and some street is also available. Portion allocation in relation to price is spot on! Good value for your money.
Food is very good. Very friendly service from cashier, but inconvenienced attitude from the employee handing out orders… I was excited for the meal but his poor service ruined the vibe
Went here today. Employee who took our order was very nice as well as the rest of the employees. Good customer service. The food was good. Chicken was moist. Grilled veggies were flavorful. Carne asada burrito was good. The fries didnt get delivered to our table. We had to ask for them and as it turns out they were ready just sitting there. The downside is that there is no restroom. It's 2025, how is it possible to have an established restaurant without restrooms? Especially for the elderly and the children! It's just not convenient for families.
This place was fantastic! The servers were friendly and there was no wait for some lunch. It was a little more expensive than we had hoped for, but the food itself was really tasty. The Burrito was a perfect blend of guacamole and some Carne Asada. The soup was also pretty large, and although had some random vegetables in it, tasted really good and was perfect for a colder day. We really enjoyed our meal here and would definitely come back!
Thought i left a review here, but anyway, i come here often when i happen to forget my lunch. Its the best Mexican food around this area of LA and i love their carnitas tacos and enchiladas. The rice and beans are amazing too! However, sometime this week when i came, I was sitting at the table near the trash can and one of the female employees came to clear out the trash, which of course is fine. My problem was that she removed the bin that was sitting on top the trash can onto my table as i was sitting there to start clearing out the trash. That's disgusting and that disgusted me, and she clearly had no regard for my presence. I immediately moved. She didn't even come back to wipe the table down. Mind you, the table is a rectangle, not a square, and she placed the bin on the opposite end of me. But it's still awful. Then I saw another guy sit down in my same spot. Imagine if i already had my food? She could've just put the bin on the floor and that would've been no problem. Not on the table.
Soup Review! The short of it is that I Love Benny’s BUT the last couple times I’ve gotten chicken soup (which I always yearned for, to have soup like my mom makes) it is so insanely salty that I can’t eat it. I thought it was a one time offense but it’s not. I don’t know what is going on. And I just bought 3 large tubs of it because I just had surgery - not exactly a small purchase - and I can’t eat it. So, if you’re like me and you’re looking for mama’s soup and this was your go to, try someplace else. It’s not as good as it once was. The rest of the food is very good at least what I’ve tried.
I’ve had good and bad experiences here. The carne asada was pretty good. But my al pastor taco was pretty bland, this tortilla definitely wasn’t made fresh. Definitely a let down considering it’s almost $4 per taco. And my salsa tasted like straight tomatoes. Pretty much what I expect from a Mexican place in westchester. Workers are friendly though
The Cali Burrito had a good flavor overall and staff was great. The problem I had was the carne asada, it was more like a steak that was cubed, instead of flap meat and there was plenty of fat and gristle left on this "carne asada". For 12 bux I would expect better quality carne asada. Oh yea the red sauce was on point but I could taste the old-pipe tap water flavor in the green salsa...
First time here tonight and it was just alright. We started with the nacho plate to share and it was a huge disappointment. It was basically a sloppy, wet, mess. The chips were soggy and it wasn’t evenly prepared. You had a pound of guacamole that felt like thick sludge on half, tomatoes chopped on the other half with a light sprinkle of sour cream, pinto beans in between and cheese somewhere tbd. The dish didn’t have much flavor. I’m glad I didn’t judge the restaurant solely on that dish. We then had the taco plate and the steak was cooked perfectly (a little too much onion for my liking but I know for next time) and the ground beef and hard shell taco was my fav. Awesome flavor! The rice was great, beans were ok too. I wish the dish came with a side of sour cream. My husband tried a rotisserie chicken taco and that was pretty dried out. I am surprised considering rotisserie is their specialty!
This review is for their breakfast burrito, which they advertise as being voted as "one of the best breakfast burritos in LA." I think that's a bit of an overstatement. While it's not awful, it's not great either. It's just "meh." Seems haphazardly thrown together and pretty dry. The eggs are overcooked and the burrito is overpriced. Maybe it used to be better when they took that vote? In a city full of incredible breakfast burritos, this doesn't even make my top 30. Sorry, Benny.
Make the breakfast burritos smaller bro. It’s okay to have a normal sized one. The flavor and ingredients are good, but just bring it down to an enjoyable size that can actually be wrapped and eaten without falling apart. Thank you.
Plate was good but chips were old and stale. It does not have a “sit down” eating feeling because the front is pretty chaotic. Also , be careful when ordering your drinks , they don’t list the prices on the menu and they can be up to $4.50 just for a bottled Diet Coke. Don’t order their flavored beverages, the taste is not worth the price. This is a Mexican restaurant that can pass with flying colors for the clients in Westchester. It would probably rank last compared to any GENUINE Mexican food places in downtown, East or Southeast cities.
We work close to this place so we came here for lunch. It was packed with customers. One of us got his order served after about 20 min. But my order (shrimp wrap) and my other co-worker's order were served after 45 min!! Completely unacceptable!! The wrap + a coke for $18 is to much! The teamwork between personel is well-organized and orders comes in all the time both from inside and lots from cataring. But the kitchen seems to be very unorganized as it took 45 min to prepare our orders. (See pictures). The amount of salt in the food and souses were actually as expected/ok. The amount of suger and fat in food and desserts was also as expected. The shrimp wrap tasted perfect. It was really delicious! Here are some pictures I took.
Came in on my way out of town it wasn't busy inside but looked as though they were getting a lot of online orders. Ordered my food via the kiosk as instructed because the person at the counter was too busy having a conversation, (they weren't aware I'm Bilingual) Once the Kiosk failed to complete my order i asked if I could order with the cashier he called out another Associate to take me order she was very helpful, I Then waited for about 15 mins to be handed an" Ice Cold Burrito" with no Protien in it. I Ordered a Carne Asada Burrito , and was given A scoop of their house Guac and Sour cream a sprinkle of cheese and a Pinch of Steak. I had somewhere to be so I couldn't hangout to speak with them about the service but as far as that experience goes. No thank you, I'll Happily take my business where it's appreciated
If you have got a feeling about a certain place, man just walk away otherwise that feeling will transform into anger… Got an order to go & I even tipped lol A simple Quesadilla.. Anyway, the people that ordered after me were leaving as I was coming in to grab my order to go… Upon checking on my order they acted confused & scrolled on the screen to find my name. What does that mean? They forgot to make my food!! 🥹 I waited another 15mins 😮💨 Their excuse that the Asada Quesadilla it’s cooked a certain way? Brah! That’s the fastest thing to prepare but it’s all good I said because they are busy & so I was like “maybe the food is good” so thank you! Not! So disappointing! They forgot to add the peppers or whatever & the meat has extra fat. It is also chewy. . I will eat it though cuz I hate to throw food to waste but my lunch time it’s over & so I hope it’s good till the time I get home. . I won’t ever come back here that’s for certain 🙂↕️😤
don’t waste your time. all i ordered was an agua fresca and it took half an hour now im late for work. after waiting for like 10 minutes i asked the cook how much longer for my agua fresca since she’s just back there drinking HER drink and chatting it up so she looks at the other cooks like I’M the problem then says give it a few minutes. i had to wait another 20 minutes (during which some dude who came in like 15 minutes after me got his FOOD first) before flagging one of the servers who finally helped me and apologized. she was the only one who acknowledged my presence the entire time so whoever you are thank you, but this place has atrocious customer service.
Today I kept Calling to place an order for 30 minutes. They either didn’t answer or put me on hold and left me on hold. So I decided to go in to order. They quoted 15 to 20 minutes. The whole order took 45 minutes to make while watched as they continue to quote people 15 to 20 minutes. I finally received my order, I returned home, and found that they made my order wrong and included an ingredient I was allergic to while leaving off the ingredient I paid extra for. Benny’s used to be my favorite spot when I was up this way visiting family. I guess it’s time for me to find a new one! Any suggestions?
I visited this place yesterday because they got great reviews, so I wanted to try something new. I was extremely disappointed I ordered the chicken nachos, my daughter ordered the enchiladas, we live in The Valley and had to get back, so I hadn’t eaten yet. We I got home I noticed a lot of burnt chips and the chicken was supposed to be shredded, but they were in large chunks. My daughters nachos weren’t very good either. I’m very disappointed the prices were very expensive, waste of money. Disappointed.
Trash, asked for no salsa and added some. Pastor did not taste like pastor. Didn’t know if my order was mine when I asked them they looked lost. All these reviews lied.
I called in an order for pick up, and was told there was and extra charge for a phone order. Seriously? The last 3 times over the year I ordered for delivery, the burritos were cold and the quesadilla was sitting in oil. And I never got the Benny's salsa I ordered. But I came back, now they want to charge more to call in, for pick up? Disappointing. No longer a customer. You used to be really good all the way around.
WORST MANAGERIAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I HAVE ORDERED LIKE 5 TIMES I DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AND THEY ACEPT THE ORDER TO LATER TRY RO CONVINCE YOU OF ORDERING SOMETHING ELSE BECAUSE THEY ARE SIMPLY LAZY AND DONT WANT TO PREPARE CHICKEN ON TIME. THEY ARE JUST LAZY AND NEVER ANTICIPATE WHEN THEY WILL NEED TO COOK MORE CHICKEN. PLUS THE MANAGER AT THIS EXACT MOMENT MONDAY DEC 15 7PM IS THE 0 CAPABLE AND SIMPLY DONT CARE, SHOULD BE FIRED. THEY ARE A ROTISSERIE CHICKEN PLACE AND ONLY WANT TO SELL TACOS, GET OUT OF THE MARKET IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Horrible customer service, we waited in line for 20 minutes and no one came to take our order. I finally had to flag someone down and ask if it’s self serve only. Employees just staring at us dumbfounded and lost. When someone finally came to the register, we were cut in line. Then the cashier gave a hard time when I needed to make a modification to my order due to allergies. I decided to take my money somewhere else, my grandmother still wanted to try the tacos which were disgusting. Overall, very unpleasant experience, I will never return. They can keep their nasty food and nasty customer service.
Well sadly this was a HUGE disappointment. After reading all the great reviews I decided to give it a try... and am terribly disappointed. As you can see below, the carne asada in the tacos was very dry and EXTRA onions is simply a cover. The chips must have been a week old, very brittle and stale. My guest picked at her meal and said, “Taco bell is better than this.” Sadly, I’d have to agree. Like anything give it shot and I hope you have a different experience than ours. I will not return.
