Just found this little coffee spot, love the vibe, all mellow Latino Gatsby vibe. I guess because it’s an older building, there was like portugués or Italian love songs playing, coffee was delish, and the owner and cute little barista were so kind.

Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and wonderful human being who incepted this establishment. Customer engagement is unmatched. Specials were unique. Coffee was hot ☕ lucky for me I work down the street as a valet at the Hilton! I will be back. Thank you

Great coffee shop with plenty of variety and relaxation. Victor was awesome and has a great story about the coffee shop and the reason for runways, best wishes on his goal to fly around the 🌎. Cloud coffee with a pastry is the way to go my opinion. Will definitely be back, thanks to SAlifestyle2 on TickTok for the recommendation!!

What a magical, cute coffee shop in downtown San Antonio, close to the Alamo! The barista was awesome (I forgot her name unfortunately), very knowledgeable about the drinks offered. I had an iced strawberry butterfly flower pea matcha, sooooo delicious and my husband had an iced banana mocha latte. He loved it so much we’re going to go back! A must see if you’re in the area!

LaVida is the prime place to grab coffee and a snack in the heart of Downtown San Antonio! Service is impeccable. Coffee and drink selection is superb. And the atmosphere is chill and welcoming. Go there to see yourself!

Wonderful welcome, great rundown of specials and how things work with the counter service and table service and the food was incredible! Shout out to Mr. Leslie at the counter! Made it a very awesome experience for our first morning in San Antonio! Coffee was great, too!

First coffee in San Antonio and I'm so glad we discovered this spot. We met the owner, Ken, and Victoria who were awesome! Victoria gave us the local insider info on all things food and attractions. Their espresso is amazing in terms of flavor and quality. We ordered shots over ice with almond milk and caramel, a more basic order, and then a pour over. There's indoor and outdoor seating, but the vibes inside are immaculate. There's chill music and air conditioning, a good start to a long day. We will return!

San Antonio does not have many places that serve coffee and tea, but we found one and it is a gem! Lovely atmosphere, great service, prices and very clean. Highly recommend a detour to this shop; you may end up staying a while & playing a game of chess or dominoes or grabbing a read off the shelf. Enjoy!!

My wife and I visited San Antonio for Memorial Day weekend. Our last day there, we walked around, looking for a local coffee shop. Found this gem "La Vida". What drew my attention the most was the super relaxed atmosphere, lots of different games laying around like chess, checkers, etc. Ordered lattes, ham and cheese croissants, and a Danish. Everything was delicious. Price was decent and the staff was very kind. Spoke to the owner Miguel for a bit as well. Really welcoming gentleman and recommended some more sites to see. Played dominoes after we ate and did not feel rushed. Excellent service, highly recommend coming here. Certainly visiting this spot again the next time we come thru to San Antonio.

Coffee and the matcha and hot chocolate is just beyond tasty! Also me and my friend went there just out of curiosity after buying voodoo donuts I was craving some good coffee and stumbled upon this place. Last but not least they have military discount! 😌

Wow! We saw hand drawn signs for coffee in downtown and followed them to the cutest cafe. Such a hidden gem. Victor was personable and helped us order our faves. The patio is perfect for people watching and inside us something out of a magazine. Would recommend 100%. Alternative milks available.

I admit -- I'm a coffee snob. ☕️ I travel a LOT for work and in each city I visit I thoroughly research my coffee house choices. Today I chose La Vida! I'm so glad I did! As soon as I opened the door my interest was piqued and I intuitively took a look around and noticed all the thoughtful details and vibe of the eatery. I ordered a dry cappuccino -- and to my utter surprise the barista served me the perfect dry cappuccino! I was pleasantly surprised as most U.S. coffee houses ( even the better ones) can't make a cappuccino like they do in Paris. Service was delightful and my coffee was served in a beautiful Chrystal mug! Such a unique touch! I definitely recommend La Vida and will return again when I'm in SATX!

Not only is the decor and architecture stunning, the sense of community gained by a coffee spot and barbershop collared is exceptional! A really classy spot with delicious coffee, and friendly staff even early in the morning, a stop well worth your time for “to go” or to sit and stay a minute.

Excellent experience at La Vida! Service was great, and the coffee was even better. The owner introduced me to Blue Matcha, I'll be coming back for this drink alone. It was sooo tasty! The shop has an aviation theme, ambiance was cozy and the menu had a great variety. 10/10!

Great space, warm welcoming environment. When we went the owner Victor was working and he was a pleasure to chat with. Really intriguing guy, travels a lot and tries to bring some of those experiences to the customer experience. Also is a private pilot and wants to fly around the world some day. Needless to say it’s more than just a coffee, it’s a great local experience!

La Vida café is a place for chilling, excellent espresso, americano, expresso and maffens. They also have other types of pastries, but I recommend what I have really tried. That's why only two stars. On weekends they are open until late at night, exquisite tacos on the terrace of the cafe. The decor is beautiful and from time to time some incredible parties. The owner Victor is an excellent host.
