Villas bakery Catskill Reviews
Came around 11 am, perfect time as it did start to get busy right after. Willa's is very cozy and welcoming. Great place to have a meal, relax, have a conversation. Had the BLT 5/5, Vanilla Latte 4/5 and the blueberry green lemonade 3/5.
We were visiting the Hudson Valley for 10 days. Once we discovered Willa’s, we returned 4 times even though it was a 20 minute drive from where we were staying. EXCELLENT food made with care and quality ingredients. Today we had the pumpkin pie. It was the best we have EVER eaten!! The gluten free items were incredible… Even the buns were light and tasty (not dry like many GF products). The baker changes it up daily so you don’t know what special treat will be offered… so far, they have ALL been fantastic!!
Off the main street, but an incredible space with some of the most amazing breakfast and brunch items. Everything is baked fresh on the spot. My only complaint is that as I was leaving they brought out new items from the oven I wished I had tried.
I’ve been getting lunch/breakfast from Willa’s for two years. Tuna sandwich is A++ and so are the taters w/the honey siracha dipping sauce:) I’ve tried the whole menu, all of the food is amazing — I’ve never once been given a bad meal. It’s all very fairly priced too. You’d never guess how hard Greg (the owner) works to run the place, he’s so kind and on point with everything. Very professional and personable at the same time. He also knows how to pick the perfect people to work for him (everybody who I’ve gotten to know who works there, Olivia especially, is incredibly kind, attentive & a joy to talk to). This place has an energy and passion behind it that is totally unique. There’s nothing like it in the Catskill area. From the great meals, pastries, coffee, down to the sweet people who work there, it’s overall an amazing experience! Highly recommend.
The food and coffee was outstanding. Best cream puff I have ever had and quinoa veggie bowl! The people were also wonderful and accommodating, and came by to see if I needed anything twice which I so very much appreciated. Can’t wait to go back soon! Thank you kind Willa’s staff.
Willa’s was absolutely delightful — cozy atmosphere, friendly staff (they knew our names by the second day!), and genuinely great service. I originally stopped in just for coffee but ended up eating here three times during my stay because it was that good. The brioche buns were the most pillowy, lightest buns I’ve ever had, and their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was fantastic. The omelets were great too, but the real star was the cinnamon roll — a perfect 10/10. Even reheated the next day, it was still amazing. The only small downside is a bit of a loud drone inside the restaurant, which might bother those sensitive to noise, but it’s a minor inconvenience compared to how wonderful everything else was. Highly recommend!
I work near here and i try to eat lunch here every day it's open. Everything is made from scratch and the baked goods are out of this world. There are great breakfast sandwiches with this honey sriracha sauce that is to die for. There are gluten free muffins that are so good that I eat them and I don't have a gluten intolerance. And one of my big favorites is the meatloaf sandwich on their homemade bread. (I get it on a wrap sometimes because it's so good that I want to take a nap after.) They have a great barista so if you just want coffee it's divine. It gets VERY crowded on the weekends and the clientele during those times can be very nasty to the people who work there-which is a shame because everyone there is working really hard. Willa's is a gem.
A friend recommended this spot for the sour cream pancakes and the entire menu ended up delicious. The pancakes were a classic, tasty dish with their cinnamon butter and local syrup. The breakfast sandwich on a fluffy brioche bun was a must with the honey sriracha sauce on it as well. The breakfast burrito, though, is the real star. Filled to the gills and extremely tasty.
Excellent breakfast spot in a wonderful location. Very easy to find just look for the large brick factory. Parking on the side had plenty of spots available. Inside was awesome with plenty of old charm still remaining (the floorboards and door were amazing). Place was packed on a Sunday! We got espressos and brunch and were told there was a 30+ minute wait for food which was nice being let know this up front. We decided to wait and enjoy our coffee. Food came out in 20 minutes which was a nice surprise. Overall a wonderful brunch the breakfast burrito was top notch and very filling. Staff was also very friendly. Will definitely be back!
Willa's is the best place in the area to get breakfast. Their biscuits and cornbread are as good as it gets and their prices are quite reasonable particularly compared to options in Hudson. I also love that they have hot sauces to add to the dishes. The staff are super friendly folks as well and the ambiance is always good vibes. It gets busy during prime hours on weekends but the place is quite chill if I go early morning or on a weekday.
We really enjoyed Willa’s! They are dog friendly and have space to dine inside and outside. It was pretty busy late Saturday morning and the line was out the door. The breakfast pastries were good, good coffee, great hot chocolate, and a very tasty breakfast burrito. They also had local hot sauces to go with the breakfast burrito which was great. A great casual spot to grab breakfast/brunch. Highly recommend if you’re in the area of passing through for a quick brunch!
A great and happening place right off Main Street. It was surprisingly busy on a Friday afternoon but it’s a pleasantly, large space on the ground floor of a renovated mill. The coffee, straight from New Orleans was strong and smooth and the BLT had quality bacon and great bread! They had sold out of most of their pastry by noon, so we can only assume that breakfast was busy!
Came early Sunday and it was pretty hard to get a parking spot, just not much available. Was pretty packed by 9am and a long wait. I came to try the donuts and cinnamon bun, they a cream filled donut available. It was good, but had a different taste and texture than a normal donut. The cinnamon roll was better, also had a different taste but wasn't bad.
The strawberry rhubarb tart was amazing, and the pancakes were good. I would recommend skipping the chilaquiles unless you’re looking for a very Americanized version. They don’t come with homemade green salsa- instead, they’re eggs over dry chips. They later offered me a herb Mayo to pour over it… not Mexican approved.
