Tea Pot Chinese Restaurant Cayce Reviews
Great food at reasonable prices. 1 example: a lower cost shrimp and vegetable combo had large, succulent shrimp. All meals I have received were well prepared and delicious. Staff is very friendly and wait times are low.
I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years. I encourage y’all to check out the authentic Chinese dishes. Shuzu pork is my favorite and the Singapore noodles are also very good.
Atmosphere is peaceful, food is super fresh, and service is nice. I came in around 4:45 and opted to eat in. I ordered the wonton soup, teriyaki wings & white rice & I always ask for an extra cup of teriyaki sauce for my rice. Yummmy!
2nd time dining in (we usually order to-go) and it was amazing as always! Robert was our server -super attentive and so nice! Food portions are always large with plenty left over. Highly recommend the tangerine beef, hunan bean curd, and the BEST hot and sour soup. You should definitely grab one of the Walovi canned teas from the fridge by the register. Also love all the plants in the windows!
On a trip to SC and decided to stop just because. You can dine in, grab and go - you could order ahead and pick up . I am a plant person and they had a whole bunch of plants 🌵 love it. Now to food ...try the crispy 🦆 very yummy. We ordered duck, mala chicken, chicken and broccoli 🥦 and snow scallops and all were well seasoned. Worth the money. Anytime you find a restaurant that cooks good duck you know they cook everything else well. The chef was very nice as well he brought the food out to us.
Good food, large amount for a fair price. Service was very friendly. She smiled and was very polite. Restaurant was clean and organized well.
A hidden gem right out in the open, so happy I was told about teapot it's always good filling and affordable. The large specials are easily food for two meals. Everyone there cares a lot about the food and their jobs which is more than I can say about many other places. Thank you.
A great overall place to eat, lovely staff, they're very polite, and are patient when you have a little one with you. They give you just the right amount of time to situate and then order. They're very attentive and regularly check on you. The food is fantastic(highly suggest the bao buns), another thing could be said about the tea on the other hand; they bring it to you in an authentic Chinese tea pot and glass cup, but really only tastes like hot leave juice, no flavor, just hot water in a pot.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. Food was really good. Place is pretty small inside but has a lot of greenery and nice aesthetic. Service was excellent, food came in 10 minutes maximum and everything was fresh and hot. Green tea was just brewed (comes in pot) and piping hot. Egg rolls were crispy and had plump juicy shrimp inside. Chicken and broccoli perfectly cooked and veggies fresh. Sweet and sour pork was a little overcooked, but with the varying size of pieces it’s understandable (we’ve found it a rarity for it to be perfectly cooked). Prices are very reasonable—we got enough for two meals each (and I even had one of the combo plates), each got a drink, and I got an egg roll—our bill was $33. Will be back!
The reviews scared me, but you know what? The food was good and the guys at the counter were friendly. No complaints, and will be back for another quick lunch.
When you order the ma po bean curd from the vegetable section, it used to be meat free, as one would expect from the vegetable section. Now they put ground pork in it and claim it’s always been like that when it has not been. It’s the only place that made it vegetarian friendly but I guess not anymore, with no warning. I used to be the person who liked this place despite what everyone else said, but I’m done despite it being very conveniently located.
The food came cold you say the lo mein is lo mein, but it is really pad Thai got scammed out of $38 smh next time I’m not gonna be so friendly
Horrible horrible food waited on my takeout and it was cold. The rice was cold. The egg roll was cold. I had to spit it out. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.
I've been going to Tea Pot for over 10 years and this is the worst I've ever gotten from there. The chef came from the back answering the phone and taking orders with some dirty gloves on, the wings were old so I had to drive 30 minutes back to get 2 orders of fresh ones and he still had the same gloves on, which should've been a warning to me, I also ordered the house Mei Fun and the house egg foo young which in both I could only identify the shrimp, couldn't tell you what the other meat was so I couldn't even finish it because the thought made me sick, the only thing I could eat was the egg roll. I spent $123 on some garbage, this is not what they used to be like
Absolutely the worst chinese I’ve had in awhile! Ordered online and went to pick up and brought home. We had to throw away the entire order! It was that disgusting. Our meat was old and sour. I gagged as soon as i tasted the meat, Inedible. The fried wontons were overly fried and not edible. I tried to call the restaurant over three separate times, no answer. Will never return. 0/10. Do not eat here!
The place was filthy when we walked in. The food tastes old. The ribs were hard and not tender at all. Nothing was good. They need to revamp and learn how to cook Chinese food. Period. 1/5 I give it. Panda Express is better and I hate that place.I wouldn’t feed a homeless person that food. It’s was like rotten dog food. Please don’t eat there.
Ordered 2 plates of chicken fried rice and wings. Both orders were not fresh, the chicken tasted old, and was recooked after sitting for quite some time. The rice was hot but old as if it had been sitting. When I called to give constructive criticism to hopefully eliminate this from happening to other customers, the manager on duty was very defensive. He stated that he has been cooking for over 21 years and denied that the food was not fresh. The food is currently in the trashcan as it was not edible. Highly recommend not eating or patronizing this establishment.
The lunch I had today was horrible. Tea Pot used to be good a few years back so I thought I would try again. I had a to go order. When you arrive there to get the food, the place smells like an old, musty basement and that is exactly how the food tastes. I ordered hot and sour soup and received won ton. The won tons were way too big and were doughy and raw inside and the filling was not good. The broth was oily and flavorless and the fried won tons crisps to put in the soup were stale. The rice was dry and the meat and vegetables had barely any sauce. The food quality was disappointing; was leary of eating it..save your money and eat elsewhere. I ended up throwing the food away.
