Old Cayucos Tavern

Nothing better than life sized nudie paintings on the wall to say you are in a honky tonk bar! Way better for drinking than those Chez Whitey places.

Can’t wait to come back to town and visit for my Birthday 5 mare days. Love the bar, love the crowd!

Love this place! When I'm in Cayucos this is the only place I go to get a beer. Jeremy is very friendly & personable!

Great place to stop for a drink n some pool. Next time im in area i will deff stop by again.

You can smell the old west there... Great crowd, great beer, great pool tables. Love it.

Friendly bar tender, very cool ambiance, old west/neighborhood bar. Interesting ceiling decorations lol! Definitely will stop by again next time I'm in Cayucos, and I'll bring cash:)

First, it's a cash only bar. They do live music here most weekends, but the owner has a set playlist so if you come often you'll get TIRED of the same songs. Lots of people do dance though. Two pool tables in another area separate from the bar and dance area. Shuffle board in another area although it needs work bad and more of that "white sand" badly Awesome bar for having a great time, I go often even though I live in another town ten minute drive away.

My husband and I go in there every time we go to Cayucos. There's an old charm about the place. If you go you must walk to the back and look at the poker room look at all the history it's a lot of fun. The bartender cool not very helpful and places to eat. They have a jukebox they have a shuffleboard it's never busy all the times we've gone. It's just a neat place to go visit it's like a step back in time. I recommend going just to stop in for one drink.

Its not a weekend in Cayucos without spending some time at OC Tavern! Very cool atmosphere, live bands, awesome Bartenders, shuffle board, pool tables and great drinks. They sell Shirts and tanks too!! Come here and have a blast.

WOW....it was like stepping back in time 😳. imagining all the gunfights that took place there it's amazing how it was preserved. Good drive ks and ice old beer too definitely will be back with friends !!

Step into the tavern and you step into a little slice of the wild west. I always stop by when I'm in Cayucos for a couple drinks and cards.

Old school bar with a ton of history. Highly recommended if you are passing through.

Rustic and fun place. Great reggae band, The Babylon rockers. Lead singer Matt is really good.

Classic bar, historical venue, late 1800s. Dont forget to look around in the rear... like they said, liquor in the front, poker in the rear.

Classic western saloon near the beach. Looks like it's been there for 200 years (but modernized.) Hell, I found BAD LIVERS on the juke! There are poker rooms in the back but we didn't make it for a game. Also pool and a very long table-top shuffleboard. You will also notice the murals ;-) The beer selection is ok but I guess my gripe is... I want a lighter beer mug. Those big root beer style ones are too heavy. Minor gripe! I will always revisit when in the area.

Like ant bar u can smell the different types of alcohol that has spilled on the floor. They have an iTunes machine which is nice, but it's connected to their mic system so when they have live bands, it kicks your song off and doesn't replay when the band stops, so yo loose you money for that song. Over all great place, but one thing happened once while I was there with friends. My friend ordered a beer, but the glass wasn't washed and there was tequila in it cuz the beer was mixed with it. You could tell. The bartender was nice about it and she got another beer no cost. But I always make sure the glasses are clean

Overpriced, cash only (avoiding taxes much?), scowling rude bartender. Won't be coming back for more of this (mis-)treatment. 😡

They ran out of Jack Daniels wanted a shot or two. Their special was JD shots for $5. Huh! Sorry.
