The Place: Oscarín is actually two stands (one serving carnitas and one serving barbacoa) at street level on Plomo Street. They have tables and chairs next to where they serve food, but they also have a small space right there, where the bathroom is and there are tables where you can sit if you don't want to be in the street. The Service: Always attentive and fast. They bring you everything you need and offer you items from the menu at both stands, regardless of which one you're eating at. Cash only. The Food: The barbacoa and consommé are good, and the tacos dorados are highly recommended. However, the stars of the show are the carnitas ($18 per taco the last time I went, and $270 per kilo), as their seasoning and flavor are incomparable. They're the best I've ever eaten, and my favorite.

The barbacoa is delicious, and the service is also great. I think the best thing about this place is that, since it's family-run, the carnitas stand next door offers tacos of a quality I've never found anywhere else. My favorite carnitas today and always, at a very reasonable price.

The consommé tastes delicious; they sell both golden and soft tacos at affordable prices. They sanitize your order before serving, and everything is very clean. They've been selling their consommé in the same location for years; don't hesitate to visit.

I've been visiting this place for years. The barbecue is delicious and flavorful. The only thing is that the place where you sit down to eat isn't always clean, and the sauces are either too runny or don't look good.

It tastes good; it's not the best barbacoa I've ever had, but it'll satisfy a craving. I feel like it's cheaper by the kilo than by the taco. They have blue corn tortillas, fried plantains, and water.

Unfortunately, they don't give you what you order to go; they give you pure fat and gristle when you order lean meat in your tacos. This didn't used to happen; I hope they do things right. The portion of meat in the carnitas is now smaller, and they've recently raised the price.
