History, flavor, and tradition in every sope. I'm not from the area, nor do I live nearby, but I make time to visit them whenever I can. Highly recommended.
Best sopes in the city!
This place, the food and flavours are good. Clean, reasonable prices and the quality of the food is great. The salsas are terrific and the combination with the cotija cheese is fantastic!
I think it's just the reputation, the bitter sauces, the very good dough. It's not worth it. Horrible customer service, they don't have a bathroom.
needs to improve flavor & quality, expensive.
I don't know how they have customers. The sopes are soggy, and nothing they sell is good. Only the flavored waters are decent. And they give you a tiny bit of salsa; you ask for more and they give you just a few drops. It's not worth it. But since they're the only ones in this area, people buy from them. If you can, avoid the unpleasant experience.
If you have the chance to come here, don't. The food is terrible, the sopes are tiny, and the quesadillas weren't even quesadillas. The water is tasty, but if you watch them prepare it, you'll see it's made with fruit pulp—I could do that myself. The service is awful 🤢. If you sit on a bench, it'll be covered in bird droppings, and don't even get me started on the tables, which are clearly for small children; we had to clean them with wipes. In short, I recommend you don't go to this terrible place. 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨
If you have the chance to go, don't miss it. If the place were called "Pseudosopes," I'd be mentally prepared. They charge you for every single ingredient. The attitude and service could raise the score, but in fact, they lower it even more. If the food were good, I could overlook the other issues; after all, no place is perfect, but there's really nothing good about this place. If you eat there, you're sure to find bird droppings on the little tables they have for customers, so bring your own rag because they won't clean them up. If, despite all this, you still believe the reviews that say "flavor and tradition" or "every time I'm in the area, I stop by to eat" or "very tasty," then enjoy.
It's a real shame that they charge extra for the sauce that in itself has no flavor and is not spicy, they are very miserable with everything, their portions are very small, even the napkins count.
Food disaster 😔😔 I went to buy some sopes today looking for something tasty for breakfast 😋 I ordered two sopes, they gave them to me, and when I got home, ahhh, surprise! They were literally two tortillas with a smear of cheese. What a waste of money! I'm not trying to be mean, but if you can, look for something else at the market.
We went based on a recommendation on social media. We wanted to try some exquisite salsas, which, given the establishment's age, were a given, but we were very unpleasantly surprised when we tried the sopes: the salsas were bland, the amount of steak they serve is about a tablespoon, and if you ask for more salsa or onion, they charge you more. This has never happened to us before! Many years ago, a man named Charly sold sopes in Narvarte Street. Those salsas are the best I've ever tasted. There were lines to order, and they didn't even offer beans. The salsas were basic. I hope he finds one of his children who continues making them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. For what we paid, we could have gone somewhere else.
I found a hair in my "sope"! I ordered the steak and cheese one, and they added a hair to "add flavor," hahaha. They don't have beans, they're more like tacos or quesadillas, the tortilla is way too thin, and the flavor leaves a lot to be desired. The cheese tastes bitter with the chicken. 0/10
