5 stars whole
Super!!
It is a very good restaurant where the price is right for everything it includes, the variety of meats it has is wide and they are all very tasty, definitely the dish that surprised me was the pineapple with cinnamon and the desserts too. In addition, the drinks are new, some of them and I also liked them.
Sweet
My parents and I chose to go to La Vaka because it had good recommendations from the buffet. When we arrived, some of the staff assigned us a table on a terrace with a good view. His look of the place was clean, fresh and with a good location. The quality of the food in the buffet is good. My parents ordered pasta, salads, cuts of meat and drinks. The staff was helpful at all times. It also had good music. The BBQ wings and fries smelled delicious and I ordered a slice. Its cost is accessible and no reservation is needed. We were satisfied with the restaurant and it was a good recommendation for a family meal.

It's best to make a reservation, otherwise you'll have to wait a long time; 80% of diners must be present to get a table. Lots of variety; overall, I thought it was good. I tried a bit of everything and was surprised; the steaks and the aguachile, which was much more decent than other places. Things I didn't expect to find: esquites and Mexican appetizers. I particularly liked the broccoli soup, truly spectacular. A wide variety of desserts, generally good. Drinks are charged separately. My nephew, who loves sushi, liked the options. The place was a bit noisy, but the service was acceptable for the number of people they serve. I would definitely go back.
If you don't plan on returning, I suppose it's not bad for a first experience. I think it depends a lot on your tastes. The food is generally good, but not the most delicious thing in the world, haha. We tried a little bit of everything the first time we went, visiting each of their bars, and nothing stood out. I think the food and seasoning are very generic. For something truly good, I'd have to go to a restaurant where that specific dish is their specialty. Here at La Vaca, I really couldn't figure out what their specialty was, besides advertising it as a buffet. All the drinks are separate, most are around $90 and up, and well, the mango smoothie was very tasty. What I didn't like at all were their desserts. They all had a buttery flavor and a strange texture; some were even a bit dry or stiff. Perhaps the only noteworthy ones (in my opinion) were the rice pudding and the poached pears. The atmosphere was rather noisy, and the waiter's service wasn't the best. It took about 30 minutes to bring our drinks. I honestly didn't understand if the waiter's job was also to take away the plates we weren't using, but they sat on my table for quite a while until another waiter came and took them away. It also took another 30 minutes for the bill to arrive, and again, another waitress brought it, left, and then our waiter finally came to collect payment, haha. I really didn't understand his role the whole time we were there. 😅
Super
Food looks good but cheap ingredients are used. Bathroom are nasty. Service sucks and they make the tip seem obligational.
This was my first visit to this buffet restaurant, and I'm really excited to visit and try the food they serve. I'd already watched videos on YouTube about their buffet and imagined a near-perfect setting to enjoy it. My wife and I arrived and asked for a table. We didn't make a reservation, so we waited approximately 35 minutes to get in. Up until then, everything was normal and fine, without any issues. Our mistake was not making a reservation. We went to the dining room and everything was fine until we got to our table. It was dirty, and they only gave us a transfer. Well, they get over it because the place was full and all the servers were busy. They left us the service order and menu on the table. But after waiting more than 10 minutes, without anyone explaining anything to us, we decided to get food from the food counter. We arrived at the table and after a few minutes, our server arrived. He asked us if we wanted something to drink. We ordered two alcoholic drinks. I asked for four cuts, two for my wife and two for me. He told me I could only have two and the other two later. Why did they only tell me to serve two cuts at a time? Meaning two cuts for each time you stop to serve yourself food or salads? We ordered the cuts and waited more than 20 minutes for the meat to come. We asked for two more, and he made the same comment again. We got up and went to get other things from the counter and came back and ordered again. This time it took an hour and 45 minutes for the other two cuts of meat to come to us, and they still brought them cold and overcooked. He asked for two more cuts again, and he completely acted stupid. My wife and I decided to order two glasses of flavored water with another waiter, and that was it. I didn't like the service provided, nor the attention to detail. The food is very good, without flaws. The beef ribs are over-seasoned and the pork belly is very tough. The flavored water is of very poor quality, the syrups they use are awful, the horchata water is very sweet and its flavor is so strong that it seems like you're drinking it straight from a packet of Tang or Zuko. The hibiscus water is tasteless, and the strawberry water is just sugar. The quality is very poor. I didn't expect the service to be so bad and so inefficient.
Speechless. Apparently, they have a pest infestation or there's no proper sanitation for preparing food. They put it up today, November 7th 😶😶 Edit: Regarding the response from the same restaurant I received: The suspension of activities in restaurants due to health risks occurs when health authorities detect serious breaches of hygiene and safety regulations, such as the presence of pests, unsanitary conditions, or a lack of hygiene in food preparation. I highly doubt that, as the restaurant itself states in its "response" below, it was due to remodeling, since I went to the restaurant and it was operating NORMALLY until the government officials arrived. If it were a "planned" remodel, the same employees, waiters, and chefs wouldn't have been working there as usual before this incident. It's awful that they even want to lie to their own customers by later covering up the sign with a giant banner on the door. What are they trying to hide? Is that even legal? If the company wants to lie to customers and cover up this suspension with a banner advertising their "promotions," I can't imagine what else they'll do... What a shame about their lack of professionalism.
At first a person in charge of assigning tables told me that he couldn't check me in because not everyone I asked for was there, a second person came and told him no, that it was fine, they let me in, there were only like 9 tables, it was too early, but ribeye tacos and the desserts were so good up to there, but after 3, the waiter sent me to order my tacos at the bar, I asked again and the people at the bar came back and said that with the waiter, in a blue shirt, reluctantly told me that it's by cut and not by tacos, I told him to bring me one and he looked at me with a face of "don't fuck with me" to which he told him that they didn't have two types, and I asked then why they served me tacos when I just arrived, I don't know; but the beer was lukewarm, the drinks were extra sugary, the presentation was poor, and the bad part started, most of the things were left out in the air for a long time and were hardened or softened by the steam, the desserts were dry because they were exposed a lot, part of the salad bar had some parts that were overcooked and in the case of the fruits and vegetables and others were even spoiled and brown, after 10 minutes I asked for the meat well cooked and he brought it to me medium, I told the waiter if he could put it back on the grill and it took more than 15 minutes, I told the waiter again that he was not even close to ordering my drink and he told me the meat would be ready in 5 minutes, when he brought it to me it was cold, the stews are not so bad, but they end up missing something, seasoning, flavor, salt, etc., or in the case of the tongue in green sauce, it only tasted like tomato and water, some desserts are more doughy, the Neapolitan flan was tasteless, the sauces of Likewise, flavorless, just tomato, tomato, or in this case, a chipotle one. The 3-cheese pasta is just pasta with cream. They were restocking the cutlery, dropped a knife, and they picked it up, leaving it near the computer. No one took it until someone picked it up for service. Promotions are only on birthdays, as long as it's not on the weekend. The multicolored birthday cake is in the same area as the computers, dry and hard. The sushi is average, sour mango means it's not ripe. Of the few redeeming features, the shrimp is delicious, and the food bar staff is very attentive. I don't think I'll return. For what it costs, the experience wasn't pleasant at all. A lot of videos on social media, but the truth is, I'm left wanting more, and by far.
