Fili Cafe

I recently moved to Cebu from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and I will definitely say that the buffet here compares with some of the best of in Las Vegas buffets I was very impressed and also much more of a deal. The staff was excellent, and the layout was exceptional, I definitely recommend this buffet.

Pricey, but the food and service are excellent.

Their dinner buffet selections are endless and tastes yummy too! It was my sis bday and the staff were nice enough to sing a song for my sis. My mom had too much seafood making her bp rise and their medical staff were all very prompt in attending to her.

Quality of Food is topnotch. Staff are very attentive. Quality of service is 10/10 (jealson as our server)

Coffee is great and not that pricey given that its in a fancy hotel. Top notch service and definitely worth coming back. Perfect place for chilling and business talks

I recently tried the Sunday Brunch at Fili Café, and it was truly a feast worth experiencing. The buffet offered an impressive balance of local and international selections—fresh seafood, roasted meats, Filipino favorites, and an array of desserts. My personal highlights were the unlimited lobster, the live lechon roasting, and the perfectly cooked lamb leg. Each dish was flavorful and freshly prepared, making it hard to choose a favorite. For the variety and quality you get, the price feels more than reasonable. Overall, it’s the kind of brunch that leaves you full, satisfied, and already looking forward to the next visit.

The best breakfast buffet I’ve tried amongst all hotels. 5 star breakfast indeed. Mixed of Asian cuisines. Wow!!

The food was top-notch, especially the desserts and steak, the atmosphere was cold but I like it still, and the service was so friendly.

Lots of choices: Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Indian food.

Fili Café has a great ambiance, it’s cozy, well decorated, and a nice spot to relax or catch up with friends. The food is good and enjoyable overall. However, we noticed there were flies around, which took away from the dining experience a bit. With better pest control, this place could be even more enjoyable. Still worth a visit for the food and atmosphere.

A good option for a hotel breakfast. The ambiance and atmosphere is nice. Although might be a little hard to locate at first but it’s in the 4th floor.

Expensive but one of the best buffets I have ever been to. Only bad thing is extremely loud music early in the morning. If they got rid of the live band or just played radio music at a normal volume would really suit the mood better. Unfortunately was unable to have good communication with my guests due to loud music at such an early time during the day. For an expensive restaurant there’s no need for music that loud in the middle of the day it is not a nightclub

A buffet with a good selection of international dishes but most notable is their live lechon roasting which for most guests who are not from Cebu find very unique and entertaining. Customer service was also great with the servers being attentive and our request for a table near the buffet was accomodated immediately. The only problem was the dessert station (crepe station) which was pretty backed up at that time and they had trouble taking all the orders all at once.

Food is on the fantastic side but the selection seems to be too large. Many dishes on the buffet remained untouched. I guess we still pay for them through the relatively high per head price. Patronage seemed relatively poor with more than 50% of all tables free. Probably due to the price level. One observation: the aircon is on the low side. All my guests were freezing. Staff: super friendly and accomodating.

Super good food, but slow service in the dining room. It's a bit pricey for the average person, at p2400+ per person, but worth it for the food.

五星飯店的菜色依然保留菲律賓菜的特色：鹹！食物種類蠻多，但連現煮的湯麵（我以為在喝鹽水）或現烤的肉都很鹹。魚肉類有些又乾又柴，主食部分整體表現不佳。如果是甜點控來這家餐廳就來對了，甜點種類超級多！全部試一輪幾乎不可能，芒果系列的甜點也很多樣。結論：如果是為了甜點值得來，為了主食就免了。

For ₱2,800 per person, this is a place I’d try once, but not necessarily return to multiple times. There’s simply too much food, and I don’t have the appetite I used to. I wouldn’t mind the price if I felt I could actually consume ₱2,800 worth of food, but I can’t—at least not anymore. That said, it wasn’t a bad choice. I really liked the desserts. However, they didn’t have any real soup options—no chowder, tomato, mushroom, or even miso—just a noodle bar. They were also missing a proper steak station. While there was a dried meat station, it wasn’t the same. The spread included seafood, chicken, lamb, a Japanese station, a Filipino section, and a pasta station, though the pasta choices were limited to just two sauces: white and red. For the price point, I was expecting a more refined variety rather than just a larger quantity—things like a real steak station, more pasta sauce options, and proper soup selections. The staff, however, were very friendly. They even sang “Happy Birthday” to my granddaughter, which was a lovely touch. The place was also very clean, especially considering how crowded it was and how much food was being served. Finding the location was a bit challenging since we weren’t from the area. We got different directions from different people and ended up getting lost, which made the trip longer than expected. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it’s not one I’d feel the need to repeat.

Food is good. I love the seafood sinigang but some can be improved like the Lechon. Malamig na yung lechon, hope there is an option to re heat it.

I was looking forward to the Sunday brunch at Fili based on Volgs I have seen on YouTube. They pretty much all say it the best in Cebu. It was very disappointing. The staff was great, the food not so much. Very disorganized. Lobster was mushy and taste was not right, rib roast was tuff, dry and room temperature. I didn’t expect very good pizza from a buffet, it was okay. Deserts were good. Maybe my expectations were to high but if this is Cebu’s best, that’s sad.

Lobsters and crabs are the main reason why its rate is pricey. Other than this, other buffets offer better choices and cheaper than Fili, like hotel Bai. Staff said they will deliver the lobsters after grill. But nothing came. We waited long and got them ourselves. Soup was cold bec no heater mach. Soup dish is just a shallow bowl. Free drinks is only iced tea, coffee and hot tea. For it's price, Soda and juices should have been included. And I have to take effort often to find a waiter for refill. Glass is so small. Lastly, doesn't look spacious, the wall partition should be removed bec u have to circle around it to go to buffet.

Visited Fili Café at Fili Hotel NUSTAR Cebu for their breakfast buffet on a Saturday morning. The restaurant has a nice location near the pool with a sea view, and the interiors are elegant. That’s where the positives end. The food had a wide variety, but nothing stood out in terms of taste. For the price, you’d expect much better quality. It felt like you’re paying for quantity, not flavor. Service was the real issue. We were seated at a table that hadn’t been cleaned yet. Staff told us to go get food while they cleaned it. When we returned, we didn't know the table was already taken, and a foreign guest began shouting and calling me “stupid” repeatedly. The staff just moved us to another table, no apology, no intervention, no professionalism. It made the entire experience uncomfortable and frankly humiliating. For a 5-star hotel restaurant, this level of disorganization and poor service is unacceptable. Giving it 2 stars because the setting and food variety do exist. But the disorganized, unprofessional service ruined the experience. I wouldn’t dine here again.

Cheap food, Quality was not up to par for a hotel establishment. Bad service. We had to keep on standing up just to call the server's attention. They allowed people in slippers to enter the premise

Ordered 2 cups of Hot Choco. After almost an hour (3 follow-ups), only 1 of 2 orders arrived...

Reservation only. Took 2 hours to check in and reservation was canceled. Priority check in is a joke.

I had the misfortune of dining at Fili Cafe, and it was a complete letdown. The service, especially at the grilling station (sutukil), was miserable. The cooks were inattentive and downright rude, which left a sour taste before I'd even tried the food. As for the dishes, the tinola was incredibly salty — it felt like I was eating a bowl of pure saltwater! It was disappointing and unappetizing. The roast beef station was another highlight of my frustration; the person in charge was not accommodating at all. Asking for an extra slice was met with resistance, as if it were an inconvenience rather than part of the service. Given the reputation of Nustar, I expected a luxury dining experience, but this was anything but that. The food didn’t justify the high price tag, and the overall experience was a disaster. I definitely won’t be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and service.

Had christmas dinner with friends earlier. Everything on display was stone cold. The only hot items we got were the soup. DO BETTER!
