My hubby David was welcomed with open arms to enter a tournament and they have great pool and shuffle board tables usually offering fantastic drink prices too!

I was just looking for a chilled out place to take my sister from out of town, and took her here. It was just right. Exactly what her and I wanted to go. Had a good time. Had a great drinks. And made great memories with my sis.

This is a great place to grab a drink. The drinks are good there is a wide variety of liquors to choose from. Lots of TV's showing sports, games, pool tables. The bartenders are all nice and accommodating.

Leo is a highly attentive and present, sociable bartender. Super chill environment, neighborhood bar seems to be mostly locals with a family type bond.

Im from Chicago and visiting some close friends. This was the closest bar within walking distance and Im sure glad it was. If you cant have fun playing shuffleboard and pool and singing some karaoke, then you dont belong at a bar. Place is great. Staff was prompt and extremely friendly. Thanks for helping make this trip to Texas a great one.

It's my favorite bar. I fit in well with the ten a.m. crowd of alcoholics even if I haven't had a drop to drink yet lol!! The staff is friendly and ready to serve another round, the music is great as anyone can pick songs from their phone (provided they download the app, of course) and generally every genre gets touched on at one point or another.... Best of all, I pretty much like ten if ten people who frequent the post at the same time as I. So, to sum it all up, let's just say if I'm going out to a place of my choosing, it's gonna be The Post Tavern for a long island iced tea!! Hell, I might even gamble a little! Ok, so I'm not gonna gamble but it's there for those of you who do enjoy trying your luck lol.

Great place moved to the area not to long ago, my wife and I came to this bar and haven't gone anywhere else since. Good atmosphere staff is awesome and the regulars are all fun I definitely recommend this place

They have some of the best drink specials in town, and the atmosphere is really laid back and chill. Their patio area is so clean and cute!

My first time here a few weeks back...I came in kind of late, I was welcomed by both bartenders...One male one female...it was just about ckosing time ans a friend of mine asked to play pool..The male bartender had just cleaned and covered the table..and here we are (the irritating last min customers) he still did it with a smile..i appreciated that...and the female she had no prob answering all our questions on drinks... Atmosphere was real chill everyone was really really nice...diverse crowd all ages in there...darts, pool tables, shuffle board, and I just found out KARAOKE ! DEF gonna go back..bartender Nate Ty for handling us with such grace...and your co worker she was great...I'm so sorry I didn't get her name..but it was the 2nd sat in Oct lol! Kudos to u both!

One of the biggest surprises you'll find in this "hole in the wall" bar are the professional shuffle boards! Absolutely the best place for shuffle board in the metroplex! Get you a bucket of beers and get your game on... BUT, please keep your beers away from the tables ;)

The bartenders are always very attentive! Special shout outs to Leo, Amber and Jennifer! The others are great, too, just these 3 work on nights I tend to visit. I come here to get "away" from the real world. The bartenders have figured this out about me and just get my drinks without the necessary chit-chat. I treasure this immensely!!

My kind of place! Dive bar with good music [sometimes live, sometimes jukebox] and friendly staff. They do cater to regulars a little better than others, but I probably would, too. Have many, many shuffleboard tables with frequent tournaments. Can be a little "Smokey ", but I'm OK with that, too, although others I've taken there aren't quite as tolerant. I just won't invite them, again....😉

They have awesome bartenders, and I love the local watering hole vibe. They do allow smoking indoors, so be wary of that if you decide to visit

I love this place! Dive Bar with good music, friendly staff, shuffleboard on overload, and cold beer/mixed drinks. However, if you have an aversion to cigarette smoke, be aware that it can be pretty "smoky" at times. That being said, it's a true bar.....what would you expect??

I came in for a beer, and ended up learning how to play tabletop shuffleboard. A nice environment. Lots of shuffleboards, but only one pool table. The complimentary meatballs are absolutely delicious. Bring a small bag of pretzel sticks...

I enjoyed this quaint bar. The games are set to contribute some of your winnings to a local charity. Clean restrooms. Free delicious meatballs. Leland and Leo were attentive and extremely clean on the surfaces, glasses and bar. I rarely go into a bar alone, but felt very welcome and everyone was kind and didn't mind a stranger like me striking up a conversation.

Coldest beer in town!!! The owners of this place are great!! They make you feel like family. Everybody here knows each other and are very friendly. They have pool tables shuffle board alittle gaming and TV's all around if your looking to enjoy some sports.. Definitely recommend giving it a shot and who knows it just might be your new favorite little hang out spot.

If you're looking for a solid Texas sports bar, this place is legit. Good mix of people, relaxed vibe - it can get pretty busy, but it's rarely "too busy." Never have to wait long for a drink, very friendly staff. A great place to play pool and [especially] shuffleboard.

Love this place! They have an amazing atmosphere in the place with plenty of pool tables if that suits you. Their selection of drinks is really good too! Not to mention, every single interaction I've had with the staff there has been nothing but pleasant. Came in last minute on a Monday and was legally served with such great customer service. I kept apologizing for it Being 1:40 am and the bartender (sweet girl with glasses, mixed complexion) was genuinely happy to serve us. Checked out IDs, timed our shot consumption to follow TABC regulations, and was not rude in the slightest bit. Wonderful employee.

This little hideaway is a good place to go to meet friendly people and bartenders. Downsides are the Touchtunes box here charges twice as much as other venues, and if it is shuffleboard tournament weekend, goid luck finding parking.

This is a quintessential Texas smoking bar (yes you can still smoke in some Texas bars). Nothing fancy but a terrific divey place to chill. Food is limited hot dogs, chips, little smokies. So eat first.

Staff was friendly, the meatballs are my favorite thing ever, drinks are super affordable and tasty. It is a smoking bar so just know that going into it. Was also surprised to hear people playing metal on touch tunes a lot of bars will change it and they didn’t so that was cool.

Friendly bartenders/waitresses with modest expectations. The tavern is never crowded or uptight. Place where (mostly) down to earth locals get drunk and play shuffle board. There's only a couple pool tables but you won't have to wait. I've never been in a fight here so that's good.

This is a good spot to hangout and have a good time they had a mature crowd. The ambiance is nice, had karaoke going on Saturday and alot of participation, only down fall was the price of shots of Patron coming in at a whopping $10.75 each. All in all not a bad place to relax and have some fun especially after a long work week!!!

Not for non-smokers but we love the dive bar scene with Karaoke....lmfao It's been fun and friendly everytime we go to watch Karaoke.

I have been here twice and there is one bartender, in particular, that has a poor attitude. She really should consider a career change because obviously she's not happy with the one she has chosen.

Good service but really smokey interior. Living in Austin I'm not used to that anymore. Friday night had karaoke and shuffle board tournament that the participants took very seriously. The bartenders were nice but the patrons didnt seem to like new people visiting their local bar.

No draft beers but full bar,three pool tables, lots of shuffle board tables. Smoking IS allowed inside. Plenty of parking out front. Touch tunes for music.

It was a very fun and friendly place, thoroughly enjoyed karaoke night! The only downside was poor ventilation. It was very smoky. Great for smokers. I would definitely pop in again, I felt so welcomed. Like a " Cheers" bar.

I don't smoke, and dislike the smell. They have 4 table (2 covered) outside fenced area with a couple washer pits. Plenty of standing room. The big draw is the shuffleboard tourneys, I guess.

last time I was in the post, the whole bar was full of smokers, which would be ok, but they did not have one door or window open and no ventilation at all. I have nothing against smokers, but the last time I was in this place there was not one window or door open for ventilation and no ventilation on the roof. We brought 4 people to play shuffle board and had to leave

Meh.....I kinda just felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there. No greeting from any of the staff. My one and only drink was wrong. Had someone come in and ask me to buy him a shot, just randomly. But......if you're a shuffleboard player, this is probably the place you want to be. A ton of tables!

This BJ's has simply put, gone completely downhill, in my opinion. Myself and my wife have gone here for the past few years celebrating all types of events. However, this past week while patronizing the BJ's in Cedar Park, TX, the whole experience was bad. Food and service sucked! Cold food served. $1 Kraft mac and cheese served as a meal to kids. Most importantly, our waiter was a joke. A couple hundred dollars later...our group has decided to partake another eatery! BJ's has lost our business.

I spend a lot of money here as do many of my co-workers. My only complaint is the new bartender, Etoya. She is obviously a "hustle" bartender. She tried to hustle me on a "walked tab" with a senior bartender. It was amazing how her memory returned the following day when confronted. Several days later she tried to hustle a co-worker on a $12 tab which was paid with a $20bill and she just didnt return the change. This used to be a place where you could drink and not worry about bartenders hustling and over-charging guests. This has changed. My co-workers have had VERY similar complaints.

I went there with my service dog and the staff was more than accommodating but one of their patrons made a big scene and the staff did nothing to prevent it. As a veteran and someone that suffers from several mood disorders Is hard enough to go out as it is I don't need any help keeping me out of an establishment. I will NEVER go back to the post again where they allow people to openly pick on veterans or in that case anyone who suffers the way I suffer. This particular individual identified himself originally the veteran but after I asked him a couple questions he couldn't even respond to me with any simple answers to what his rate was even which is even more alarming. Do yourself a favor stay out of this bar... Unless you want to run into but your low life people like this supposed veteran The Establishment allows to stay and drink there.

Horrible bar. The band was trash and the lady at the bar was completely rude. She kicked out me and the people I came with because she "felt uncomforable" the first pool hall I looked up because we felt like playing at the time and it was just a horrible experience. Everyone was staring and I felt uncomfortable myself as soon as I walked in. Def won't recommend this place. So we went to sidelines and the employees were very nice and friendly.

This is the worst place I've ever been to! The staff was the WORST people. The bartender was rude and b****y. Cut my husband off after 1 drink all because a guy that was with him was rude (after she was already being rude first) I'm 100% they were profiling my husband. A bar that cuts people off for no reason is so stupid and it's not just us, we have had several of our friends complain about the same thing! If I could have given 0 stars I would!

The female bartender asked me to point out who I was a buying another drink for (I bought two light beers). I asked for them and she said for WHO?! I said, excuse me? She said for WHO? Who else?! I had to point to my husband across the bar before I could get the beers I just bought. The vibes are good but the female with the long pony tail is just rude. Only to me though. I watched my husband go and get another and she didn’t say anything to him… never going back. Don’t waste your time here.

Went to have a cold beverage on my day off during the day. Mind you it was around 12pm. I was wearing a NBA jersey of my favorite team. Apparently you are not allowed to wear cut off sleeves. The bartender called me out in front of everyone and made me feel uncomfortable. I understand if someone is wearing a tank top/ wife beater. But a NBA jersey come on. The place smells of mold and oxygen tanks. I felt singled out because I have tattoos and piercings. Long story short it's 2024. And this place is stuck in 1982. If you like being stared at by old creepy men and listening to Merle Haggard and have your clothes smell of moldy cigarettes then this is your place. I would give 0 stars if I could. Not fit for a dog.

Looking for a hole-in-the-wall spot to kill some time and stumbled into this one. Walked right into a cloud of smoke with freshly washed hair, and any woman who loves her hair knows that’s a nightmare combo. It’s much bigger inside than it looks from the outside, with tons of pool tables, so definitely a plus if that’s your vibe. Just be prepared to chat it up with the locals… think raspy voices and real old-school bar energy. Don’t get me wrong, I love hole-in-the-wall bars this one just comes with a little extra smoke.

0 stars if I could, poor service, neglectful, and rude bartenders. It used to be decent but I went a few weeks ago and had the worst experience, all I wanted was water, the bartenders literally looked at me and ignored me and I wasn’t even drunk. The only good bartender is the biracial girl with the glasses (forgot her name not sure if she still works there) and the boys. I’d just go to shooters it’s near by and much better treatment towards their customers.

Upon reading past reviews I recommend being wary about coming to this place because the servers and new manager are extremely sensitive and unprofessional. We didn’t even get to our table before my whole party of 15 (plus my baby) were kicked out because of one person in the party. I understand kicking just that one person out but it’s poor management to lose that much service and overreact over a minor matter. We were getting together to celebrate the life and death of a dear family member and deserved as a group better treatment especially since the tables had not been set and we were waiting for quite a while. The point of making a reservation is to have everything ready before hand to accommodate that party especially when there are that many people. The decor is stuffy and dated as the staffs temperament. Can’t say much about food because we didn’t get the opportunity to drink or dine. I’ve worked in the service industry for over 10 years and put up with a lot, you’ll go out of business by managing incidences so poorly and kicking out full parties for not liking one individual. Not to mention even after waiting so long to seat 15 people the arrangement would not have been ideal to accommodate us nicely especially with baby. McEwan co. I think you need to look over staff and management at this place.
