Sweetgreen Central Park South Reviews
When I went to this Sweetgreen, I had chosen it just because it was close by. I hadn't realized that it was unique in that it was mostly automated. I ordered my normal Harvest Bowl on a kiosk, and noticed their giant conveyor belt salad machine kick in to gear. I was a bit worried that it was going to turn out sub par, but luckily I was wrong. If I hadn't seen it for myself, I would have assumed it was made by a person, like any other salad bowl from Sweetgreen. The inside of the restaurant was nice, and the small crew was friendly when handing off my order. The salad was even more thoroughly mixed than some of the salads I've gotten at other Sweetgreen locations. My only complaint is that there were clumps of goat cheese that wasn't mixed well. That said, I've VERY rarely had a person do a better job in that regard, unfortunately. TLDR: Salad vending machine robot things can make good salads.
If you build a custom bowl, it’s actually a great value. Here’s what I do during these lean times - I get chicken from Costco, cook it myself add it to the bowl. Build a bowl filled with veggies. Pick a good sauce. Mix it together and one bowl for $12-13 can be my meal prep for two to three meals.
Probably the best sweetgreen I’ve been to. The restaurant is well organized and has a good amount of self service tablets to order quickly. The pickup area is well identified and easy to spot and has a lot of nice indoor and outdoor seating. The food was made quickly and perfectly. Was delicious and all veggies felt fresh and crisp. They have a lot of amazing sauces and I try something differently every time. But the best part was the service. The guy at the register (around 12:30 on 6/19) was super friendly. His positive energy and vibe was super appreciated. He explained how to get points and use the app and ensured everyone was good while ordering. The service made this experience amazing and I’ll def be back! So happy this is finally open!!
Stopped by during their soft opening on June 6, and finally got to post this! Even then, everything was running smoothly — impressive for a pre-launch. The food was absolutely 🔥, and the team already had things dialed in. Now that they’re officially open, I can only imagine it’s even better. Huge props to the crew - y’all crushed it! 🙌

Sweetgreen is my favorite. Highly recommend the chicken pesto parm, shroomami, or harvest bowl. Just wish they had one closer to Fremont!
Came in on a Friday night. There was only one other part there. There's only three tables inside (they are more for large groups). Seating is available outside. This is the first store I've been to where ordering is exclusively through the kiosk and drinks aren't self serve. I got the Chicken Cauli plate and I LOVED it! One of the dressings (romanesco) was in the process of being made and about halfway through the meal they brought it out. It was delicious! The Chicken Avocado Ranch Bowl was enjoyable as well.
Tasty, fast, and healthy. You can get a big mac meal for just about the same price. The only thing that made me mark down the Atmosphere were the kids running around making a lot of noise. Kids will be kids, but come on parents. I can only imagine how crowded this place is during lunch on the weekdays. The automation at this place is next level and they can pump out dishes fast.

Able to customize your own bowl with various salad greens, dressings, and protein options. The portion is huge especially the greens. Recommend caramelized garlic steak.
Yeah.... don't get the fries. Let's stick to the bowls and salads at Sweetgreen. This location is clean and has many kiosks to order from. Parking is plentiful. I got the Tamari Chicken Salad, which had fresh kale, cherry tomatoes, and apples! It was well-made, especially with the KBBQ glaze. Chicken was okay and under-seasoned... but otherwise, a decent salad! Very filling.

enjoyed a bowl of vegetarian mushroom dish. Typical Bay Area price of around $20 total. Nice clean fast casual place with machines mixing the food. interesting. One suggestion : the bowls and cover are all compostable I believe, which are great but they take up a lot of room in the trash. suggest a way to separate the cover from bowl so trash can be more compacted.
First time, got great recommendations from staff. Would return just because of staff! Menu was descriptive and accurate. Very cool automated food machine. The food was not super flavorful, it lacked some depth. It seems like adding more sauce adds some flavor.

1st day grand opening, super excited and ordered 2 plates. But…. a plastic piece’s mixed in the salad and brown rice was mushy. Employees were super nice and friendly tho

I recently visited this SweetGreen, and unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience during the lunchtime rush. The quinoa was overly mushy and not well-cooked, which made it quite unappetizing. Despite asking for the sauce on the side, they ended up adding too much in the bowl , resulting in a bowl that was overly sweet and greasy. Additionally, the wild rice I had a few days ago was undercooked and dry. I hope they can improve the quality of their food and service in the future.
I paid $18.50 for a salad and left feeling hungrier than when I arrived. I had the Peach + Goat Cheese. It had maybe 2 teaspoons of cheese and possibly 3 almonds and that was it for protein or fats. I had looked to add some chickpeas or something but did not see them as an option in their people-less ordering kiosk, and in any case a composed salad from a place specializing in salads should be balanced enough to not leave someone feeling like they ate nothing at all. I was excited to try a new salad place but I won’t be back.

Unfortunately what the other comments say is true. The food served at this new location is not as good as Sweetgreen in other locations (I most often go to the Sunnyvale one). Ordered their typical classic chicken pesto parm. The quinoa as others said is mushy and clumped. Not sure why they're skimping on bread crumb (there is barely any) either. Also very little parmasean is given. While the food is not "terrible", it is very clearly subpar to other locations. So I'm giving a 2 star in hope that this is a clear thing they can improve on.

I enjoy Sweetgreen and am a frequent customer. However, this location with the infinite kitchen disappointed. The food did not taste the same compared to Sunnyvale, Campbell, and Mountain View - somewhat drier and blander and very light on the bread crumbs; and the atmosphere and service with minimal staffing is subpar. Given the other locations in the greater area and the proximity of Mendocino farms, I will avoid visiting this specific location.
I am usually a fan of their flavors, but this time overall taste was mediocre. Also. I paid extra to add tomato to my salmon avocado bowl, and there was literally one cherry tomato sliced in half. What a joke.

Wow. We have always loved the sweet greens in Sunnyvale. And we definitely love salads. You walk in the door. You aren't greeted, but there are a few employees joking and laughing behind "the machine...". And there is a tablet on a counter top. Uh huh. That's it? Uh yeah. That's it. so I dinked with the tablet for 10 minutes. Finally figured out how to get what I wanted. Sort of. Placed the order. Then. Nothing. Waited for 5 minutes, some lady calls out my name. Hands me a bag. No smile, no have a nice day. No thanks. Ok! So we sat down to eat it, and what I got was a small portion at a high price from a machine. Where is the value here? Then my poor girl went to use the toilet, and some guy busted into the toilet while she was using it. She came out in tears. Hard pass! Zero chance we will ever be coming back here again!
I’m actually a Sweetgreen lover — I really enjoy their fresh salads and usually have a great experience here. However, today I ordered a kid’s meal for my child, and I was honestly very disappointed with the portion and quality. The chips were tiny broken pieces, the apple slices were so few I could count them, and the tofu portion was very small — even for a kid’s meal priced at $8. Everything looked like leftovers instead of freshly prepared food. I mentioned this to the staff lead (I believe her name was Lulu), but she responded lazily and brushed it off, saying, “That’s how the machine makes it — it’s the kid’s portion.” When I asked if she really thought this portion was fair for the price, she didn’t seem to care or take any action to check. I’m not someone who complains easily, and I truly like Sweetgreen, but this experience was disappointing. I hope the store can take customer feedback more seriously and make sure even the kid’s meal reflects the same freshness and care that Sweetgreen is known for. My total order was over $45, including my main meal, the kid’s meal, and a cold bread. The picture shows exactly what I received for my kid — that’s what I saw when I opened it.

Just horrible prices and value. There's groceries nearby with better foods at lower cost, and those lower costs are still inflated. Also, just found out the company has links to anti-vax ppl. So yeah, really easy to never ever support this business again. Sorry to the workers
We have ordered twice from the same location and both the times we had hair in that. First time we complained and let it go aiming it was first and last time and will be more attentive next time and today also we had the same issue. I don’t think they are taking it seriously. I always try to avoid adding negative reviews but this is something needed to pay attention.
