Saona Kitchen & Bar Central-Valley Reviews
The food was flavorful. The veggies were done perfectly, with just the right amount of crunch. The cheese steak had cheese on the top and bottom. We will be back every time we are in the area.
This is easily the best pizza in town, I like to stop in whenever I'm in the neighborhood. It is the same great pizza I remember having as a kid, and the same family running the restaurant. I also enjoy the Amendola's labeled drinks in the fridge. You might want to check out the Nicola Noble books they have available there; maybe get an autograph!
We ordered pepperoni slices and garlic knots. I'm from out of state, but I've had pizza in the state of New York many times, and I'm not always impressed. I have to say this restaurant really lives up to the new york pizza reputation. I was not disappointed at all!
Pizza tastes like back home ,(long island) Garlicknots to die for
Really nice staff and good food. Good for a quick meal.
Went in for 3 beef Patty's with cheese and wings, 1/2 honey BBQ and 1/2 garlic parm. While there I also decided to get a slice of cheese pizza. Absolutely delicious. I have been trying to find a pizza place where I actually LOVE the pizza since moving to Monroe and this is definitely it. Came home and tried the wings. Another hit!! So flavorful. The beef Patty's were great also. This is my new to go place for anything pizza 💯!
Got delivery. Best white pie I've had in a very long time. Hot or cold, it's awesome. Even cold, it was delicious. First time I didn't add garlic or basil to a slice. I don't live in the area anymore but come up here to house sit a few times during the year. I will be calling in an order every time from here on out.
This place is under new management. The new owner, Louie used to own my favorite (Pudgi's) place to eat in Pine Bush NY. I will now travel 45 minutes to enjoy Louie's food. I highly recommend going to Amendola's Pizza & restaurant if you are in the area.
We happen to call for hot subs on day they posted a special, 2 subs for $17.00. Plus they give 15% discount for Veterans. Good amount of filling in both subs: chicken & shrimp parmesean. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere b/c it was front counter by pick up, nothing special. A word of advice, the last 2 times I went the online price was different from menu price. They said both times they were waiting for new printed menus. Verify your price if you are getting take out.
I haven't been here in a VERY long time but this is somewhere I used to go with my grandma whenever I would visit her when she still lived in the area and when I was still little. We're all in Indiana now but I was just remembering this place and getting nostalgic so I wanted to leave a review. This is the best damn pizza I've EVER had in my life, and it may look unassuming but that's how you know they got good eats. If you're unsure of what you want to eat, just give amendolas a try, at least for me since I don't think I'll be able to get some for myself any time soon. I always recommend it when in talking to someone about pizza 🍕
This place is wonderful! I just can’t get enough of the garlic knots and the variety of pizzas. The service was very fast and is so much better than most popular pizza places we have tried. Don’t let the appearance of the place fool you! I hope they open inside of Legoland someday. I’m sure it would do great!
Great Pizza and delivery! You can order the way you want it and get it that way, which seems to be a novelty these days. They make wonderful thin and crispy [well-done] pizzas if you ask for it. Ingredients are tasty and balanced [not too much sauce, for example, unless you ask for it]. Deliveries take usually a half hour and they are consistently on time.
Amendola’s has become a weekly staple in my life . The staff is always super friendly and all of the food is fantastic! Daily special pizza slices along with their homemade sodas and garlic knots are amazing! And all of the dinner entrees are very delicious. Don’t stop doing what you’re doing!
Been here before, but only just now writing a review of this place. Amendola's is a pizza place in town where one can either take out pizza, (and other pizzeria foods, in which i haven't tried), or dine in. The dining room is kind of tight though, so fitting a party of 8 may be difficult. i was young so don't remember the taste of the food that much. My mom picked up some pizza on 3/3/23, that way i can eat a meat free meal because of lent on fridays. The quickest pizza was a cheese pizza, although if it wasn't so early, i would have went for a mushroom or spinach pizza. My mom brought home a silcian pizza, and a cheese pizza slice, and it was good!
Stopped in on a whim. Luckily they had a wide variety of pre-made slices to choose from. They all looked great! My wife and I each had one and were satisfied with how filling they were. On top of that, they both tasted AMAZING! I didn't notice prices posted anywhere, and was pleasantly surprised when it was only $3.75 a slice. The atmosphere was great. I grew up in a small college town a few decades ago and it reminded me of the pizzerias from back then. This place is definitely worth trying out. UPDATE: Went back a second time, was worried that it wouldn't be as good as I had hyped it up to be in my mind. I was wrong. This place is as awesome as I remembered. Truly top notch! UPDATE 2: Been back several times now. This might just be the best pizza this side of Chicago! It never fails to satisfy on selection, taste, or service. May 2024 Google keeps asking for updates and this place keeps being awesome!
The staff were very nice. No real atmosphere to talk of. Large slices with plenty of toppings but the crust was soggy under the weight of the sauce and toppings. Tasted ok not great.
I normally don’t like posting reviews, but have a few thoughts of this place. We used to dine here frequently (maybe once or twice a week) over the past 5-10+ years ago. Amendola’s used to be great under the original ownership, which would be Sam and his family. However, the last couple times I stopped in over the past few months, we wanted to dine in at the back but walked out instead. It was completely eerie with no one there except for me and my dad unlike how it used to be busy/hopping with other people. I’m not trying to talk down about anybody or anything, but if you’re coming here I’d say stick to doing take-out or eating up front (for now). Until they resolve the dine-in atmosphere in the back, I will NOT be coming back. Nonetheless, the food I remember used to be great and it probably still is (despite ownership changes). Though due to the bad dining experiences this year, we’ll be taking my business somewhere else. And that’s a review.
First time ordering from here, the guy who took my order was extremely kind, but unfortunately my food was tasteless. It was HOT but tasteless, I paid for it so I’m pushing myself to eat it but I most likely will not. Won’t be ordering from here again (chicken Alfredo)
The pizza tasted like uncooked dough. The coke was actually cold but it was unfortunately flat. The garlic knots had different seasoning on them and it had so much oil on them we couldn’t even eat it.
The place is run down and in desperate need of a renovation. When you walk in it smells musty and they are overpriced! I went in end of the night to get a pizza that my daughter really wanted. The man said it had been there since 2 so I asked for a discount.... nothing astronomical, especially since we ALWAYS give them our business and he wouldn't. So much for supporting your local businesses. And at the end of the night I'm sure they throw everything out. With how they are so money hungry, they need to use some of it to make over their business!
