Morena's Taqueria Ceres Reviews
This place has menudo the entire week, and it was delicious. I also had a quesabirria. The order/plate comes with two, and they are huge. The michelada was also good. The place looks clean, and it is spacious. I was told that during the weekends, the place is packed, and people have to wait to be sit. I recommend it 100% the parking lot is not as big.
The food that I got. Was what I was expecting ..soo good. Delicious. Waaaooo. I think I'm going back in the future until I find another restaurant closer to me. Tha can beat it. But for now. That is my favorite..loved it. The people where great ..thank u soo much for ur service.
The vibes are here indeed. Very authentic Mexican food. Music is also Mexican. Most people speak Spanish. The owner is from Michoacan, so the cuisine reflects their roots. It’s quite special to be in an establishment that is proud of their culture. As to my experience, we came to celebrate my dad’s birthday. They made him feel special by singing and giving him flan w/ a candle. The rest of the food was pretty delicious. I recommend getting the meat plates such as birria, carnitas, molcajete, or seafood.
Me encanto la comida mui rica I a buen precio. La muchacha que nos atendio fue mui amable i atenta. Ya estoi planeando que boi a ordenar para la siguiente bes. I loved this place I’ve been there twice and already looking forward for the next time. The food I’ve had both times tasted really delicious, the portion was perfect, and the price was super reasonable. I definitely recommend I will be going back. Our server was really attentive and polite.
Food was DELICIOUS and the drinks were spot on. Two of us ordered the same thing but got a totally different order. The food was hot and looked scrumptious so we ate it anyway with no disappointment. I would definitely go back.
I’ve given this place two tries, and both times left me disappointed the atmosphere feels awkward and unwelcoming, the food is not good Mexican cuisine, and the service is consistently poor. To make matters worse, it’s extremely overpriced; I spent over $70 for a meal that included food for two kids and just one cocktail. Definitely not worth the cost or the experience.
Food meh, I have the Bria de Chivo meat was dry as expected but bland. Very expensive for what you get. The live music was cool but ridiculously loud. Probably won’t be back.
The chips were cold and tasted stale. The green and red salsa for the chips was lacking on taste. I got the fajitas trios. The asada flavor was good but overcooked, the chicken was good, and the shrimp was also overcooked but the flavor of the dish was okay. It has yellow, green, red bell pepper, and onion on the skillet with the three meats. It came with refried beans and rice. The flavor overall was good but served just barely warm, basically cold which is surprising because it was overcooked lol It came with homemade corn tortillas but those were also basically cold. These fajitas however did not come with any other sides that most Mexican restaurants serve it with. I also had to ask for a plate to put it on as well. There is no pricing on the menu so beware of that. I was charged $5.99 each for sodas and was not offered a refill! I did however ask for a to go cup for my soda because I was sure as heck not gonna pay $5.99 for Pepsi and not get a refill! The kids meal for a taco with rice and beans was $8.99 and had good portion size for the price but my daughter did not like the chicken taco. The fajitas trios was $28.99 which I believe is pretty standard pricing for a 3 meat dish but was disappointing to not have any real sides besides rice and beans. Most places that serve fajitas at the minimum have pico, sour cream, guacamole, or cheese, or even lettuce. This did not have anything to go with the fajitas. I wanted to give this place a chance, but my first experience was disappointing. I didn't plan to leave a review so I didn't take any pics but I did take a pic of the receipt so I'll leave that. Hope you all get a better experience than my kids and I had.
Visited Morena's today, Sept 6th. Very dissatisfied this time. Food was ok today, other times it had been better. I ordered molcajete and the meat was dry and the chorizo was super greasy. Service was not great either, despite the place being dead at the time we went, the waitress took forever to take our order and she was acting rude because I had to go ask her if she could take our order already. When we paid we thanked her and she didn't reply. Also, the prices are over the roof. A plate of 7 Mares and a Molcajete with two Jamaicas was $85. A little over the top for the quality of the food and the service. Just saying...
I've been to this place at least three times. The first two times the food was okay. The third time the quality of the food was horrible. My sister wated a place that serves freshly made tortillas. The tortillas they gave her were reheated, and nasty. My we1t burrito had carnitas that were old and disgusting. We spent $50 plus the tip on a burrito, huevos rancheros plate, and 2 pineapple waters. Overpriced and disgusting food! We will be finding a new place that serves good food consistent, no matter what time of the day you show up. Also, a little note to the owner: if you're going to have people go out shopping while wearing a uniform shirt with your restaurant's name on it, please remind them that they are representing you, no matter where they go. My review is a low start review because of the poor quality of the food that we were served. However, I work at a place where a couple went shopping and the gentleman was wearing a uniform shirt with your restaurants name on it. They were totally rude, only because they think they can. Needless to say, this is just a little advice to the restaurant's owner.
Prices are ridiculous how much they’ve gone up! $6 for a fountain drink ? $19 chilaquiles not including the $6 up charge to add a pinch of asada? And then they never check back up on you for refills we always have to wave someone down bc no one’s even trying to make eye contact, it’s almost comical. Not going back ,for the service and quality of food the price is not adding up.
Very bad service they would help other tables except my own and we had to get up and ask for our things, the waiter had an attitude and very rude when i asked her questions about the specials they had
very bad service had to ask for more water and they charge money to take the food home i don’t recommend
This is my first time coming here to this restaurant. I waited for nearly an hour just to get my food plus on top of that. My food was really cold and I told the waitress three times the first time it was a guy he did not understand me the second time it was a girl she still didn’t understand me the third guy he understand me really well and gave me a Fresh plate. One of the waitress was really disrespectful. She was throwing attitude when I told her that I don’t speak Spanish she constantly was talking to me in Spanish being rude with the attitude and then after that she ended up talking to me in English and her English was really good so I don’t understand why this girl was acting the way she was acting towards me. The music is too loud too. I’m just never going to this restaurant again I left very disappointed!!!
